I think Liverpool lack the depth to get through the Christmas period unscathed, the fact Liverpool have got to the point unbeaten is amazing but to keep up with this City requires a lot more than they have.
I feel more well let's hope we can win it or Spurs, Arsenal or even Chelsea. Us don't look too good right now, but it could change.

I dunno, I just wouldnt take any chances. I think the officials want the pool to win it as well. Their first goal was offside again today. Be unbearable if they won the league

Excellent ball by Luiz. That is why he is in the team despite the brainfarts while defending. Mistake by City in not tracking Kante's run, they have been otherwise excellent in cutting off runs from Hazard and Pedro.

City have done everything right except score. Missing a focal point up front, Sterling hasn't been as sharp as they have needed. Not sure Pep needs to change much going into the 2nd half.

Is it the bitterness or is City's robotic style just boring to watch? Great in highlight form when its just the goals, but it just makes me want to watch something.

Living up to your Scouse lover tag perfectly.
It's the bitterness.

This was an excellent half of football. Fair enough if you don't like it, but then I reserve the right to call your perspective wack.

Living up to your tag I see.
I don't get this hard-on for Liverpool from certain members on this forum, they've been irrelevant for all of the 17 years I've been supporting United, barring that one season in 08/09. City on the other hand have been annoying over the last 8 years, so yes I dislike them more, they've started to make us irrelevant in our own City. If you guys have some boner over Liverpool then feel free to continue with it, but I don't care about them, I dislike City more.

Boring game, even trying my hardest to be neutral this City style of play as impressive as it is does nothing for me.
That's got nothing to do with their style, but with how their opponents set up. In fact, it's a testament to their attacking fluency that they create and score so much against all kinds of buses.

If you offered me the chance of any team other than Liverpool or City winning the title I'd take it. In reality, it will be one of Liverpool, City or Chelsea and Chelsea are the least likely.

How is City's play boring when their counter-attack is thrice times more effective than your average "exciting" counter-attacking specialist teams? Hell, even in this game alone they've squandered a few guilt-edge chances as a result of effective counter-attacking.

Baffles me that people watch football, sometimes and still come to their conclusion. Talk about agenda.

Those guilt-edged chances are the worst. You just feel so damn guilty about conceding them.

If our owners are smart they'll let us bring in Fekir or someone similar in January. Our front 3 has cover in Shaqiri, but after that, we're down to Sturridge/Origi/Lallana (which isn't terrible for second choice players, but to compete with this City line-up...)

If it's anywhere near this close come the transfer window, I can imagine both us & City spending to win.

Dominated the ball but created nothing. Think one of the 3 wingers will have to go for Jesus. Game of few chances, we don't really deserve to be up but we don't deserve to be down. We've given Chelsea something to hold onto. Long 2nd half coming up.

city can come back, but who knows if they will. No aguero hurts them and even though them winning would be better for us in two ways, chelski winning would also mean no invincibles for pundits to endlessly harp on for the next few years and no records broken though, so im 50/50 on this one.

I don't think we've had a guilt edged chance, Sterling fluffing his lines maybe...

If we won the last game right now we'd be 4 points behind City in the live table! :(

I don't want Liverpool to win the League but at the same time I don't want City to win the title with ease.

I'd like for Liverpool to push City all the way to the last game of the season - only for Liverpool to feck it up and witness Klopp lose his shit :D

Not you as well!

Gilt edged, not guilt edged.
Both spellings are acceptable in common usage to be fair.

Unlike Chelsea beating City tonight and allowing the bin dippers to go top of the league as a result.

Have a word with your players.

Isn't this result bad for United from a top 4 perspective? Can't catch City anyway, so Chelsea gaining points isn't good for Utd.
There isn't any perspective in which this is a good result for United.
Because at worst City will be a massive 1 point behind them? And will have already played away at Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham?
And Liverpool have played away at Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham too with Klopp having a better head to head record against Guardiola if you've got your hopes up about City tonking Liverpool at the Etihad.

If City lose, they'll have lost one game to a very good Chelsea side in, like, 6 months? And its only December? Let's not put the red ribbons on the trophy at half time just yet. City could lose this game 6-0, and its not like there's this giantic lead they have to overcome.
