Total agree. Woodward is one of the best business men in the world, but not really a good club operator.

Let him go back to focus on financial or marketing things. People should do what they are made of.

Bye, Felicia!

I feel so relieved. I can enjoy football again and look forward to future of the club again. Hopefully it gives the players a big lift now.

Should have been before the Newcastle game but here we are now.

I would thank him for the small amount of good days but he's a horrible little scrote and deserves nothing from us.

Worst Man United manager in my lifetime and possibly the manager most at odds with what the club stands for.

It's very disappointing it didn't work out. What a shame. If Jose couldn't do it, then I really wonder who can... we'll see, fingers crossed for a miracle.

I said he should be our next manager after Sir Alex in 2013 when he was at Southampton. I said it after Moyes. I said it after van Gaal. I'm still saying it now. The 2nd best manager in the league and, in my opinion, would just be perfect for us.

Zidane until the end of the season. He does well, sign him up to a two year contract. He does average, get rid and go all in for Pochettino.

Jardim makes sense to me. Sacked by Monaco so it probably doesn't sit well with the club to give him a long contract.

But he did a fantastic job until this season, a short term contract with a view to examine over the summer would suit both parties.

You're right, let's not even try.

Did you read my original post about who I said we should go after? He's the manager many United fans have wanted for two years, I don't think it would be considered a rush.

In the past few years top managers have moved and we've been left with Moyes, LVG and Mourinho. If we wait until the summer for no reason other than 'lets slow down, we need at least 6 months to chose someone', other suitors might come in. Who knows, they may even move before us.
Throwing a new manager into the mess the club is currently in is bad news and unfair. We need to consolidate and get back to something resembling Manchester United if we want to give our new manager the best start we can. Right now we need someone who's good a crisis management. I don't think Pochettino is the right appointment anyway, he's consistently failed at the final hurdle and he won't be able to turn us around.

3 years ago Mournho was sacked by Chelsea as well, albeit a day earlier. December is not a good time for Jose, but I’m sure the 20m compo and having Xmas off will ease the pain

Glad he is gone, but thanks for the 2 x cups, the shield and getting back in the champs league knockouts

Also, well done for giving Mctom a chance and if he had a significant hand in it, well done for bring Dalot to the club

This happened because I stopped checking Redcafe and started actually working. You can all thank me.

One of the biggest mistakes the club has ever made, getting rid of Mourinho. It was the players, it was always the players. Now, nobody good will come and manage this joke of a club. What a sad day for football fans of Manchester United.
Alright Jose you can move on now mate.

Don't think he has done anything any other manager couldn't to be fair.

The fact that we’re not appointing a manager right away and that we’re hiring an outside interim appointment suggests that the board for once actually has a plan in place.

It seems like they’ve accepted the seasons over and don’t want to rush the appointment of a legit manager until they’ve sorted things in the background like a Director of Football etc.

At least I hope.

Requirements for the new manager:

1. Not so fecking arrogant
2. Attack attack attack
3. That's it
I'd be happy with this. Preferably somebody who isn't a complete miserable bastard might be a good idea too. We've had three of them on the bounce now.

I have to say that I was one of those people.
I am very very surprised and was wrong.
But seriously, I'm surprised and expected them to wait until the last second. I was wrong.
I mean, given how incompetent our board are, I don't blame you. However, this all felt very different and the levels of toxicity were getting completely out of hand. I posted this on December 4th:

Yeah it does seem like what will happen based on what's happened with past managers. However, we have Arsenal (H), Fulham (H), Valencia (A) and Liverpool (A) as our next 4 games. A-few bad results during that period culminating in a defeat to Liverpool will make the whole atmosphere even more toxic and a really bad showing at Anfield would put serious pressure on the board to get rid.

Lukaku and Matic will be totally bricking it.

Not Fellaini though, his position in the squad is doubtless as safe as ever.

Pochettino would be my choice, but I still feel if the system around him (DOF etc) isn't right, we are just going to end up in the same predicament as have with the last 3 managers.
