And I love the scene when the crowd singing "Ole..Ole..Ole..", then Ole coming out and gave a little wave to acknowledge them. The watching fans, manager, the staffs, and players expressing themselves on the pitch; they're all United. That good feeling had been missing for years.Maybe it is just me since I stopped paying attention to details for along time, I thought the way the team celebrated goals were a bit different than what I usually saw.
Looked like they were all relaxed, having fun and had sense of a bit unity.

I thought you guys said the United way is attack, attack, attack. They score 4, we score 5.Happy with the win but would be nice to see us keep a clean sheet in the next few games - not happened since the goalless draw vs Palace over a month ago.
Yeh like he did for Juventus and France in WC and Euro.Still has to do it against big teams and in the champions league.
Eh?Ole's tactics are a bit weird.
I'm just rewatching the full 90, and I my initial impression is being confirmed.
We played a lop-sided 4-2-3-1
---------------------De Gea
Dalot---Lindelof---Jones---Shaw
--------------Fred
----------------------------Matic
---------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------Pogba
-------Mata--------/------------Lingard
------------------Rashford
Fred is deeper than Matic. Pogba is almost inline with Lingard and Mata, but very much on the left.
I won't say that. DO you think Pogba can play 4 games in 10 days? Rotation and rest is necessary, that applies to Matic and Herrera as well. Once we pass the Crazy Jan period then perhaps Fred should be confined to Cup games and bit part, until next season.most important thing is that we won playing attacking soccer.
However, our defence was very opened and the game could have been rather even if Huddersfield had taken their chances.
Fred played poorly. I do not think he should be starting the next game.
Martial would have added to the fluidity of the game.
Pogba is class.
Keep it up guys!
Need a full pre season to get that sort of stamina work in though, very hard to do mid season when games are coming thick and fast. Still, a massive improvement on what's gone on before Ole and Mick came in.Forgot to mention that we really need to work on our fitness levels.
Not as cohesive and dynamic as against Cardiff and there were periods when we were under pressure at the back but still a big improvement on earlier performances. How did we play?
True, but you can’t go from one of the teams that runs the least to one of those that runs the most overnight, and certainly not midseason. Might not see a major improvement til next season.Forgot to mention that we really need to work on our fitness levels.
Wasn't it at the crowd who were shouting "Shoot"? That was my impression.Just out of curiosity, what was Pogba pointing at for his 2nd?
He was already on a yellow card, came close to a second. Think Ole didn't want to take the risk with him. He wasn't that great too I think. Was Dalot's sub tactical or was he injured???

Yes of course, it's rather impossible to improve that part of the game at the moment when game schedule is packed, though we can work a bit on it gradually after the holidays madness.True, but you can’t go from one of the teams that runs the least to one of those that runs the most overnight, and certainly not midseason. I think this is a very good parallel. We will have half a season of two steps forward, one step back. No issue with that so long as the progress in terms of team harmony and playing style is obvious. We are looking like Liverpool before VVD and Allison. We will give up chances but rest assured we will also create a lot ourselves.
People like this have agendas that go against anyone with potential. They are only trying to justify their paycheck by inflaming opposition fans hatred towards us and our star players. They are obviously worried with the progression that is already being shown at Old Trafford that a return to utd's old ways of you score 4 then we're going for 5.I started reading the match report in The Telegraph and about 25% into it, when I realised that the idiot 'chief sportswriter' was ripping into Pogba without mercy, I gave up.
It was the most magnificent occasion, which I was privileged enough to witness and Pogba was our star performer, according to this idiot, he wasn't the best player.
How do these people manage to make a living out of writing pure bile?
good point, well madeYeh like he did for Juventus and France in WC and Euro.
Not a Tory-graph reader myself but what I read seemed within the bounds of a ‘daily’ reporter. There has been criticism of Pogba and he was crafting his piece around that back story. They usually set themselves up for the next story, in this case the first step to eventually lauding Pogba as the ‘I told you he was a great player’ piece. Back in the day, before apps the Tory-graph was a good newspaper for soaking up chip bag fat.I started reading the match report in The Telegraph and about 25% into it, when I realised that the idiot 'chief sportswriter' was ripping into Pogba without mercy, I gave up.

Praising Pogba for being good yesterday would be too mainstream. Everyone would be doing it. You need to stand apart in your job to be noticed.I started reading the match report in The Telegraph and about 25% into it, when I realised that the idiot 'chief sportswriter' was ripping into Pogba without mercy, I gave up.

Pogba isn't quite as good as you make out. If he was, where was he in important matches last year, when he wasn't sulking?3 things:
1. Huddersfield are much better than Cardiff.
2. We really missed Martial.
3. This game is too easy for Pogba, I think he needs to find himself a new challenge.
Lewis Hamilton syndrome? Could be.I honestly think that Pogba being a successful black player with confidence and a touch of arrogance unconsciously drives a lot of the resentment towards him... I honestly do.
You are right. But that's because we have played relegation fodder. Why are people complaining about jones? He hasn’t put a foot wrong these past 2 games.
From some people, yeah.I honestly think that Pogba being a successful black player with confidence and a touch of arrogance unconsciously drives a lot of the resentment towards him... I honestly do.
He can be a platypus for all I care, a professional football player should be judged by his performances and commitment just like any other professionals. Skin color is irrelevant.I honestly think that Pogba being a successful black player with confidence and a touch of arrogance unconsciously drives a lot of the resentment towards him... I honestly do.
Maybe over the course of the season so far but on the day I think Huddersfield were much better than Cardiff when we played themPogba isn't quite as good as you make out. If he was, where was he in important matches last year, when he wasn't sulking?
And Cardiff are higher in the league table...which does not lie. Cardiff are a better team than Huddersfield.
why do people have to pull the race card on every black player that is critisiced.I honestly think that Pogba being a successful black player with confidence and a touch of arrogance unconsciously drives a lot of the resentment towards him... I honestly do.
Are you mad? A world cup and several league titles and he's not successful? How can you expect people to take you seriously and not consider you bias when you come out with complete rubbish like that? And then you ask why people try to come up with other theories as to why people seem to be overly critical of the player. It's because people are literally making stuff up about him at every possible opportunity.why do people have to pull the race card on every black player that is critisiced.
He is criticised because he was bad this season, and was unconsistent last season. he is not "successful", he has tons of potential and with the right manger he will be a world beater. Jose wasnt the right one
Well that explains it. Either way, 50 million is a lot for a back up player. When we bought him before the season started a guy on this forum wrote up a scout report on him and stated very clearly that he'd be behind Herrera in the pecking order and that he'd be a squad player, at best. A lot of people got very aggressive when they heard this and could not understand how we could spend £50M on a squad player who was worse that Herrera.
