1:27, turned by Alli. 1:39, done by Kane. Both resulted in clear chances. Had their finishing been as good as Rashford's, it would've been a different game.
You’re really stretching there to blame Lindelof. The Kane chance happens countless times a weekend, while DAs touch was simply superb; that wrong foots every defender in the world.

You should be aware of that you are pretty alone with that opinion. Lindelof got ratings between 6-8 in all papers yesterday and the average rating here was also very high.
I was alone in thinking Mourinho and Memphis won't good enough either. My posts will attest to that..

You also rated Januzaj so highly you chose your username after him. That worked out well...

But you said I chose my name after a player that was born after me..
And you thought it apt to display your judgment as a reason why you were right.

I mean, Litmanen!

Now we are talking about yesterday’s clean sheet and three points against Tottenham. More or less everybody except you and a handful posters who always dislike Lindelof, ranked his performance as pretty good. Of course you don’t. Of course you shouldn’t go with the flow for the sake of it, but if everybody thinks differently it is always a good idea to be humble enough to take a break and have a reality check.

To be fair, he also said Lindelof was poor in the air, despite not losing a single header.

That alli touch was ridiculously good
I thought first it looked like a mistake, a poor touch, that turned into something good. Can still not decide if it was a mistake or incredible skills :)

You should start a thread on Januzaj if you want to discuss him.

And to say I chose my name because of a ex player shows your ignorance.

Says the bloke who brought up Memphis and Jose in the Lindelof.

Almost as ignorant as comparing Januzaj to Litmanen.

You said Mourinho and Memphis, I don't remember much about Memphis thread so can't comment. Mourinho however come on.
But we were in the minority though. And i'm not the only one who doesn't rate Lindelof as highly as some do.

You're are an idiot and I can't take you seriously. It's like saying, someone with the name "Nick" is called that, due to ex United player Nick Powell. Educate yourself before you make yourself look stupid.

Course it isn't you knob. This is a football forum, it may have escaped you, but half the usernames on here are in relation to the club and it's players. And seeing as you were strumming yourself silly in his player performance threads, I drew a conclusion. You might want to try a bit of logic some time, you would have avoided rambling on about how poor Lindelof was in the air in a game where he didn't lose a single header. Or you wouldn't have made a dickish comment about me bringing up another player in this thread, when I was responding directly to - yup, you guessed it - you bringing up other players in this very thread in a boast about how great your judgement was. Again, a dickish thing to do when you've been spectacularly woefully wrong in the past (Litmanen ). I mean, how many more times does your erroneous, hypothetical bullshit need to be brought to light today before you quieten down?

You're an idiot and I'm glad to educate you, you bufoon. Adnan is a very common name amongst certain people of a particular back ground. I wouldn't expect an arse like you to understand that with how ignorant you're.

The Litmanen comparison was made when LVG took over and there was alot of speculation on how we were gonna set up. Litmanen played under LVG if you didn't know. And I gave my two cents on how I thought LVG was gonna potentially deploy the young Belgian. But it's no surprise a Donkey like you completely ignored the context. Van Persie said Januzaj was amongst the very best young players he'd ever seen, in the top two to be exact.. I also rated Ravel, Rossi and Pique you clown.

I responded to a poster who said, I was alone in my opinion of Lindelof due to the newspapers giving him a high rating. I countered by saying I've been in this situation before with Memphis and Mourinho. What on earth did that have to do with Januzaj. But I'm glad I could educate a tit like you..

Lindelof thread taken over by the yellow/orange bar society calling each other names, at least try and keep it on topic.

It really does seem weird to praise him considering spurs battered us that 2nd half but in general I think the whole defence was good and it was more Spurs just being really good. There were serious questions asked of Lindelof and for the most part I would say he passed, there is obviously still room for improvement but he seems to have the physicality to his game now and he certainly is not slow. Probably should have shoved Rashford out the way or used him to get the block in for that alderwield chance. He did do well with the few occasions Jones went AWOL, but even then Jones wasn’t all that bad either.

I’ve been very impressed by Lindelöf this season. He’s come on well.

All I’d be looking to do is sign him a permanent CB partner.

I agree with you. The more times I see the game the less worse Jones become. Yes he got beaten a few times at the set pieces but over all he did some brilliant defending too. He did not have a brain fart. With Jones you know he is going to lay down his life and in the first half he saved a certain goal by diving to head the ball away. If he missed Kane was not going to miss it.
Lindelof was good and is improving match by match. Toby Alderrerald who is supposed to be the target of United got beaten by Martial a few times but no one takes about it.

believer that Sancho will turn it around
Alli and Kane did get the better of him once each in the match. They've gotten the best of most CBs in the league more than once.

Lindelof was good, not perfect yesterday. He has shown growth in his physicality and comfort on the ball where we're now seeing more of the ball playing he was touted for when arriving from Benfica. He will continue to improve. In another year or two I believe he will be one of the top CBs in the league. We need to find a partner for him now to solidify our central defense. Jones, Smalling and Bailly are not good enough and one of them needs to make way for an upgrade this summer, hopefully Koulibaly.

It's funny reading he got turned by Alli or Kane.
I mean being turned over by one of the best strikers around currently and another very good player doesn't mean he didn't have a good game. No defender can play a perfect game in which he doesn't get turned over, especially against that kind of opposition.
