Might be overweighting trophies somewhat, as DDG would surely move up a place or two if he'd won the same as those above him. There's not much at all between the top 4 in terms of ability for me.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
1. Schmeichel
2. De Gea
3. Cech
4. VDS
5. Seaman

It's really only that fifth spot that is up for grabs, but I'd give it to Seaman for longevity. Courtois at his best was probably a bit better but that really only lasted two years (in the premier league).

De Gea is dogshit at saving penalties so I'd put him below Schmeichel and Van Der Sar.

Alisson and Ederson actually have potential to be there, but it's way too early to consider them at the moment. Given/Courtois/Reina... Nigel Martyn wasn't bad.

Shout out to Nigel Martyn as best of the rest - 4 appearances in the PFA team of the year.

Čech is kind of The Simpsons of goalies in that he’s been mediocre to bad a lot longer than he was brilliant.

I wish that it had been a proper string one-after-another. Unfortunately it took us six years going through Bosnich, Taibi, Barthez, Howard and Carroll before we eventually got the right replacement with VDS.
Yeah, must be tough going six years out of the last 25 without a world class keeper:lol:

Hard to believe there was a six year period between Schmeichel and Van der Sar where goalkeeper was a problem position for United.

I actually think Barthez was a very good keeper but was way too inconsistent during his spell in England.
