Liverpool is not debt free. As at the last accounts, there was £72m in secured debt, plus £110m in shareholder loans from FSG. You can argue about whether or not shareholder loans is truly debt, but the £72m secured debt surely is.
Tickets for Liverpool's final home game are going for £6,000 (Sunday Mirror). Finally they are admitting it they will be champions. I can see hotel prices going up very soon too, better get them rooms booked for the title party!

In today’s football that equates to petty cash. To a well run top PL club any way and although I dislike Liverpool (putting it politely, it is Sunday) they are a very stable club with some very good players so I would say that Liverpool and it’s owners/shareholders are not bothered one jot about £72million.

Do you mean Newcastle? I can't see Everton in their schedule. There's also almost 2 weeks between their game tomorrow and the game against Chelsea.

I think there's definitely a psychological element to it yes, it's better to be 1 point behind with an extra game than 7 points behind with a game in hand, even if it's just to put pressure on Liverpool. Would be greaf the Toffees could do us a favour next week then but can't see it happening.

This is something I have been mulling over recently.

If you are prepared to run with that fairly safe assumption then you will arrive at the same conclusion I did a while back; Liverpool will not, under any circumstances whatsoever, leave Old Trafford with so much as a point. So it is written, so it is done.

I have to say that Liverpool surprised me this season, as i didn't expect them to win all the games where they are favorites. That was their problem in the past years, the always lost so many points against the smaller sides and didn't have that winning mentality. However, I still think City has by far a better team and will win the title at the end of the season. Salah may be top scorer in the moment, but he is not even close to the class that has Aguero, or De Bruyne, or David Silva.
I think VVD and Alisson helped Liverpool a lot with the mentality this season, as they are almost perfect in defence. But, as I said, I expect them to lose a few points when Champions League action re-starts.
