Ugly win, we looked knackered.

Looking at the general picture though, we have won 22/24 points with Ole in charge, and win both FA cup ties. Happy!

Wasn't worse than Lingard.
He was. Lingard was below par, certainly, but Sanchez was abysmal. Literally all he did all game was lose possession and get beaten to the ball.

Lukaku having to be told by his own teammates to actually run forwards to receive a pass was utterly disgraceful. It's not like he had been playing all game and was flagging, he had only been on 5 minutes ffs.

Entire team looked gassed an exhausted, but thats still a hell of a result against a stubborn team thats turned over other top clubs this season.

Ole needs to learn subbing Lingard off early when it’s not working for another mid to give us some control of the game when we’re getting overrun.

Bit annoying when they play like that, but I’ll take it.

Not winning the ball high up the pitch, banking on Leicester being poor with the ball, inviting pressure but without looking particularly dangerous on the counter.

Important 3 points but not a good performance. Sloppy, careless, tired…

I'm worried that after the first few weeks we seem to be drifting further away from possession based, attacking football, we seem to be resorting to hoofball more and more. I'd like to think that's down to fatigue stepping in but I'm curious how much of the attacking possession based football early on was down to McCarrick, since Ole himself said he haven't had much time to make his own adjustments early on.
Hoofball? Didn't see much of that today. Longer passes when under pressure, but it was a tight game.
There was still loads of tight interplay.

Two teams with poor possession. At least we came out of it with the win... hopefully the team aren’t going to perform that bad next week after this game.

We were out on our feet for most of the second half. Completely out of gas. I wonder if Ole's pressing game is draining our energy.

There's no excuse for Lukaku though, who had the movement of a sloth in hibernation when he came on. Pathetic.

Shit win but I'll take it. It's what the likes of Liverpool and Spurs are doing in abundance this season anyway.

Ultimately the game hinged on two factors that could've made this a lot more comfortable: the Rashford sitter earlier on and Mike Dean wearing Mendy-tinted spectacles resulting him missing at least three sendings off.

Big improvement needed for Fulham.

Not the best time to introduce them right now.
I think we have to even if we are racking up wins.. we look like we are on our last legs and the results aren’t quite mirroring the performances which is never a good thing (we should learn this lesson from previous regimes).

Poor performance, but a very good win. The fact we kept a clean sheet is positive. Young should not be starting, was dreadful.

Decent first half, Rashford again misses a chance he should put away, but fair fecks he scored the winning goal.

The team needs a rest otherwise we're getting smashed apart by PSG.

Dalot, Perreira, Fred, Martial, ,Mata, Sanchez, and Valencia if he's still alive should start v Fulham. Its the easiest game for a while

Leicester away is a tough game. They’ve proved that this season. To say we were shite is ridiculous. You can’t win every game by a canter.

They taken points off of City, Chelsea and Liverpool recently. Have some perspective.

Saying that, a few individuals were sub par that’s for sure. I don’t see a future here for Sanchez. Lukaku needs to up his workrate, he was only on for a few minutes and refuses to chase balls down.

No chance by the way does Sanchez deserve to be the lowest rated player today.

Young and Lingard were worse for a start.
Completely agree. He was bad but objectively so many of the team were bad and some were definitely worse. He just gets unfairly viewed through tinted glasses now.

Not defending his performance though, he was very poor himself.

Another box ticked on the SAF list, win when not at your best. Confirmation, if needed, Sanchez is pass it, Lukaku is immobile and has no real place, or pace, in a free flowing attack.

Also should be give more chances to Dalot because we can’t keep playing Young who’s nowhere near good enough to be starting.

A well earned three points against difficult away opposition. Those three points will have even more significance if Arsenal lose to Man City.

This.

He’d only just come on and looked gassed.

Great 3 points. Shit second half.

What worries me at the moment is how we seem to tire as the game goes on usually about 60 minutes today seemed even earlier.

Passes go astray, no closing down and just sitting back and allow teams to come on to us. OGS needs to address our fitness levels.

In spite of the poor performance, we finally move up to fifth :D Hopefully City can help keep us there.

3 points, we completely relaxed after 20 mins but if someone promised you a poor performance and a win by any margin after how they've performed against the other top teams recently.

Impressed by Maguire as always, I do rate him, I wouldn't want him next to lindelof but next to someone like smalling he would be a force. Really impressed with Chilwell and Barnes too, the latter looks scary especially given his age...

Young i thought was very god defensively. Not near as good attacking wise.

Overall i thought the back four was solid today.

Leicester quite often raise their game against the Top 6 sides, so to get out of there with three points is something. Just be happy.

Don't know why you pick on Young. Sanchez was the worse, Lingard disappear after 60th. Matic slept between 46-50 but made up for his error afterwards. Young put in fair share of effort. Only Pogba and Herrera were fighting from start to finish.
I am not sure how you failed to see Young had a worse game than Sanchez. He was expose throughout the game and offer nothing going forward. Sanchez at least make constructive runs.

Too many times we started our attack with DDG aiming towards Pogba with the long-ball, rather than keeping it on the ground and building from the back.

Woeful attackingwise but defenders did commendably well when required. When teams close our attacking players and put press on midfield we have no answer. Winning matters, so the game wont libe long in the memory.

Not the performance we wanted, but we got the win we needed. Just hope the poor overall play was one of those things rather than a sign the team is going off the boil.

Bad work on our fitness in preseason. Totally at odds with how Ole wants us to play. I don't think you can improve this too much in the middle of the season.

We weren’t at the races, but I don’t see what Leicester did to earn anything out of the game.
Yep, that game could have gone another hour and they still wouldn't have scored. Evans had a United shirt under his jersey today.

The longer it stays 1-0 the harder it becomes, if the players were more clinical than they could cruise the to the end but all these tight games are knackering the lads out.

Worrying but 3 points and we move on.
