This and the Burnley game have been the only 2 games I have very confident in winning and looking like 0 wins from what should have been two comfortable wins

Sanchez looks like the only attacker with Pogba capable of cutting a pass through or creating something out of nothing. Andreas I didn't know was even on the pitch to be fair.

Sanchez had one decent pass to Shaw, other than that he's doing the same looped in ball as Lukaku, but I honestly don't care which of them comes off.

We need to sort out our home form, it's been trash for 5 years now. Started with all the home defeats under Moyes, then all the 0-0 draws under LVG and Mourinho, it's damaged the players mentality when it comes to playing at home. Not worrying at all. We played Burnley, PSG and Liverpool in that period. Burnley aside, PSG and Liverpool are very difficult fixtures.

Not sure how we change things. Don't have the players on the bench. Dalot might do better than Young, or maybe he won't.

They really, really haven't. We've created buckets more chances, had more shots, more possession. We've not been great, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be comfortably ahead.

Playing with Alexis is like playing with ten men. Combine that with Lukaku looking useless once again, Pereira utterly average and we are struggling. Need some directness and clinical finishing.

No sooner did we not convert one of the three chances in the first ten, you kinda knew we'd struggle.

Good. We need a spark. Some risk. Mct and periera have been infuriating in particular.

Need some changes, Periera needs to impose himself more and McTominay needs to try more penetrative passes. Lukaku has been woeful, and the fact he is supported by a poor Young does not help. I am surprised that the goal came from the left, as we have covered that wing well, while our right is being destroyed.

It also shows how much Herrera covers for Young, and that when he is not there he is getting exposed heavily.

So many problems, but for me the 3 that will prevent us from being true competitors are:
1. Smalling can't play football. Very few top teams can carry a CB in today's pressing style
2. Young is bizarrely only decent against really good forwards. Against mediocre ones he looks like he has no idea what he's doing
3. Lukaku simply isn't a good enough centre forward. Finishing is okay but everything else is Sunday league

All that said, in a perfect world, after this summer none of those 3 will be starters, so here's looking forward!

Rashford is really such a frustrating footballer. Yeah he works hard and quick but other than that he offers very little. Not an aerial threat, not strong, not very good at finishing and not particularly clever. Really disappointed with him as our no .10.
