Cantona might be in his 50s and not seen the inside of a gym since his retirement from football, but I’m pretty sure he’d have Neymar rolling on the floor asking for a red if the security didn’t get involved. One is a certified lunatic with anger management issues and the other is a crybaby, I know who my money would be on.
The King a lunatic!?

Evra. Love that man.

That little prick that took offense.... nobody cares about you. Go cry yourself to sleep and stop bothering the rest of us.

To be honest if bale comes to old Trafford after retirement for a cl game with Madrid and behaves like that, the fans would get pissed which is fine. But expecting him to support united just because it's the UK is a bit ridiculous

Why would the fans get pissed. I don't get it. Why would the fans or club expect a footballer to support them just because of his nationality. It doesn't make sense at all. This is club football, not international football. Evra is entitled to celebrate however he wants. Man Utd is so globally supported all over the world, I am pretty sure more than half of the members here are not even from England and anyone of them would celebrate like a lunatic in an away match in their stadium if United is drawn against a team of their country and scored a late winning goal in the dying minutes. It's ridiculous to hold footballers to a different standard from the average fan. Footballers are also fans as well.

Shamelessly stolen from Reddit:

"Before the 1st leg, I made a motivational video for the United players. Then I had PSG fans saying 'What is this ****** doing', 'You need to get behind French clubs in Europe', 'You forgot to take your anti-depressants?', etc. Then PSG win the match 2-0, and massive respect to the PSG away fans in that game. After the match I posted a picture with me lifting the CL."

"3 weeks ago I made a post on Instagram telling PSG fans to watch out for the remontada, since you are big experts on that topic. PSG fans were telling me that I was such a moron, and that United aren't anywhere near as good as Barça was. BAF! I was in visionary mode!"

"The whole match there was a well-dressed guy in a suit, sitting behind me and Paul, yelling "IÇI C'EST PARIS!" and constantly looking at me. I didn't say anything until the game finished, when I recorded a video in which me and Paul were yelling "IÇI C'EST MANCHESTER!" as revenge."

"French press thinks I'm an enemy of the state for rooting against PSG. Yellow jacket protests? My fault. PSG's elimination? My fault. The French press is too focused on my celebrations, but I don't care."

"For the kids born after the iPhone X that can't understand the greatness of my career, I will do a little summary... but the haters will probably keep lying about me to the new generations. For you to decide if it's a shit career...

2001-2002 OGC NICE: Promoted to Ligue 1, Voted best LB of Ligue 2.

2002-2006 AS MONACO FC: 1 Coupe de la Ligue, Voted Best Young French Player, 4 times in a row voted best LB of Ligue 1, Champions League Finalist, Voted 2nd best defender in Europe and I was in l’Équipe's Team of the Year.

2006-2013 MANCHESTER UNITED. 5x Champions of England, 1x Champions League, 3x Champions League finalist, CWC champion, 4x League Cup, 5x Community Shield, Voted 4 times best LB of the PL, Voted best LB in the world.

2013-2016 JUVENTUS: 2x Scudetti, 2x Coppa Italia, 1x Supercoppa Italia, 1x Champions League finalist.

2016-2018 OLYMPIQUE de MARSEILLE : When I came, the club was 12th I believe. Finished 5th, Qualification for Europa League. Played in all group games before my 'incident'...my teammates went to the final.

ÉQUIPE de FRANCE Quarter-Finals 2014 World Cup, Euro 2016 Finalist 81 caps.

2018-2019 WEST HAM: Stayed in the Premier League.

Total: 21

2019: To be continued... don’t be jealous I just wanna share "

Jérôme Rothen (ex-PSG player & pundit):

"You're in the presidential box at Parc-des-Princes, how dare you celebrate like that in front of the PSG fans? Go celebrate like that in the United dressing room. Respect the people at the stadium, don't jump with joy and disrespect the people who pay to go to these games. Paul Pogba? No problem, he's a United player so he can celebrate. But you Patrice? He's my friend, been a while since I talked to him, but fecking hell, you cannot do that!"

Evra's response:

"I was told Jérôme said some nasty things about me. I didn't believe it but then I was shown the video. You son of a leaky condom...oops, sorry Mr. Rothen. I really like your father too, look at what you made me do. You really are mad, aren't you my little blonde? Your reward, next time I see you, I'm going to slap you in the face. These aren't empty threats, you know we'll see each other eventually. We ate from the same plate, we played together. I had to dribble everyone, even the goalie, so that you could cross the ball back when we played together, and now you talk like this? Not you...you forget so soon. You were always a salty prick. I remember when L'Equipe gave you a rating of 5 and our other teammates got 7, since you were so paranoid of the ratings, you would call the journalist and ask "Why did you give me a 7??!?" Piece of sh...I will stay polite. Stop telling bullshit, stop telling lies. Be careful, because we will cross roads eventually. I'm sure we will."
That last paragraph:lol::lol:

It’s just like with other sports.. if I’m in the US and live in Pittsburgh, I shouldn’t be forced to love the Steelers. Or the giants if I live in New York.

People are entitled to like whatever team they choose.

When I said fans would get angry i didn't mean angry because he is supporting the opposition and we expect him to support us I meant angry in general due to a player dancing around in our stand after beating us Expecting him to support a team closer to his country is stupid

Did anyone realise Pat was such a mad cnut when he was playing for us? Seemed to really come out when he left, but I guess that came with the rise of Instagram.

Isn't it a crime to threaten a person to physically assault him, even in social media? Some sort of cyber bullying.

You obviously missed the video of him when he was still at Monaco just before their champs league final. He has always been a nutter!

Yeah, I would still respond to Rothen if I was in his shoes but not that low  Oh well, water under the bridge. I'm loving all those PSG fans, ex players, current players all lose all their shit over a qualification they felt entitled to get. feck them all.

Monaco doesn't have special rivalry/hatred with PSG so not sure what you mean by that Rothen being a big time PSG fan is an example of it as there are many others. However there is something spicy between PSG and Marseille and Evra played for Marseille.
I guess I was trying to say that it makes no sense that Rothen should expect Pat to support PSG. I dont really know the specific rivalries in French football, so thanks for that bit of info! Who are PSG’s ‘arch rivals’ as such?

French journalists appear to not understand much in football.

It is just stupid to think that a former club legend will support PSG and not his former club, where he achieved great heights. Sheer stupidity

Marseille mainly.
You do make a good point but I just wanna add that in France it is very common to support french clubs during European competitions, like an extension of the national team. Evra has always been hated in France and has always been loved in Manchester so it was indeed stupid from Rothen to expect something else.
It just shows us his lack of knowledge

Tbh, it is a very french thing to support all french clubs during European cup competitions. Rothen never grasped Evra is more than your typical french ex footballer

Why the hell would we be pissed? Bale is and will never be associated with United.

PSG officially complained to UEFA about Evra. How small time and plastic...

"Guys, it's a huge moment in the history of football. PSG complained to UEFA about me for a celebration. laughs and mimics baby noises for a minute"

"Let's stop the bullshit. Nasser, a big president like you, who really likes PSG. It's time to take the guillotine out. Fire the guy that wrote the complaint letter about me. You have to do something, this is just ridiculous."

"They almost took the guillotine out against me multiple times already; 2010 for the bus, 2014 for the 2-0 loss against Ukraine. I'm going to write my autobiography and it will be more detailed."

"I remember there was so many people from the FFF that came into my room after that loss: 'Patrice, please save us, you're the only one who can convince them, give them your family jewels or something, they're gonna fire us!' I said 'guys, calm down, we'll win 4-0. I was wrong, we won 3-0.'"

"I may not have been in the WC-winning squad, but I was in the team when we made it to the EURO final. And they they won the WC without me, which of course I am proud of, a great victory for our nation."

"No need to go to Hollywood anymore to see celebrities folks, just go to PSG. Leo DiCaprio, Jay-Z, they're all at the PSG stadium. Even Jean Paul Belmondo, with his little dog, is there."

"And there are people like (lists a bunch of PSG legends), the people who actually left a mark on PSG, and they're never at the stadium. What a shame. Stop your bullshit, Nasser. It's time to clean your club."

"I want the name of the person who wrote that letter about me to UEFA. Please. For the good of football."

"And actually, I'm also going to complain, about the minister that was sitting behind me, constantly yelling "ICI C'EST PARIS" at me during the whole match even though I was doing nothing. I'm the type of guy who waits to have the last word, and in the end, BAF!"

"It's time to stop with the serious videos, guys. This was Patrice Evra. It's time for Mr. I Love This Game to return."

"I'm a fan of PSG, but the club is becoming a joke. I'm from Paris, I'm a Parisien. And I'm sure I love PSG more than the guy that wrote the letter about me. What the hell is this, a club run by monkeys? Oh well, this is the last serious video, happy Sunday, and Vive la France"

If they did put in an official complain, I am eager to learn what would UEFA's reply be?

Did they also complain about Pogba? Because he was the one wildly celebrating with Evra. Or are they too afraid to try and target one of the bright young stars of the national team?

I love that he's gone with Je ne regrette rien in the beginning

It's like they don't realise that Evra is a former Monaco, Marseille, and most importantly, Manchester United player, and they're crying because he celebrated Manchester United winning against PSG.

fecking idiots.

There's a part missing, where Evra says, in the middle of all this, someone asked me: Patrice, what are they gonna do, and he starts laughing. at the end he says, maybe they'll change the password of my Iphone. i wouldn't be able to use it anymore for celebrations.

The song is from Edith Piaf, the title is Non, je ne regrette rien. Which means i regret nothing.

Pat yelling "ICI C'EST MANCHESTER!" over and over, knowing the guy behind him kept saying "ICI C'EST PARIS" all game makes that video even more funny.
