United should be doing what Real are doing. Just go mental in the summer. With the turn over this club has, we could easy spend loads. But we wont, because of who runs the club.
Not possible with our owners sadly..

Spending loads has got us very far in the last 6 years... I hope this summer we start spending smart.

Exactly. We've spunked so much money its quite tragic how wasteful we've been. I just want us to have a plan and spend money smartly. If we're clever with our targets, we don't even need to break the bank.

What fecking big games? The FA cup final against Crystal Palace? Or Carling Cup final against Southampton? He has had so many appalling performances in big games where he looks like an amateur. Robertson and Alexander-Arnold playing at full back for Liverpool are better footballers than him and you are drumming how he offers movement and space playing in the front 3 for Manchester United.
Every manager picks him. You are wrong.

Bizarre how he's highly rated by every manager who works with him, Kostov off Redcafe knows best though, shouldn't doubt you.

Lingard deserves his place in this squad, and he'll keep it for a long time, much to the annoyance of so many Utd fans sadly.

£100m or they will have to wait. No way should we let him leave cheap even if he's only got a year left. Madrid won't want to wait. They can't afford to with Barcelona being so good.
If Varane fancies a new challenge a straight swap would be good. Can then put in a bid for Courtois. De gea is a great shot stopper, however he doesn't dominate his box. He isnt vocal enough. He also isn't confident enough to come out like Romero did when he saved that shot against Wolves. He has also ran down his contract twice now and escapes any criticism. We would be much better off with a GK who wants to be here whether thats Romero, Oblak or Donnarumma compared to De Gea being half arsed.

They’ll just wait and get him on a free.

Two of those managers were sacked while leaving the team in a disarray, miles behind its rivals. Means feck all that they picked him.

Two of those managers were sacked because they were doing a piss poor job. He can keep his place in the squad, he has no business starting important games for a club of this size. If Ole persists with limited footballers like Lingard in our starting attack, his tenure will be no different.

Taking the thread off topic. You do not know better than every manager that he has been managed by AND Sir Alex, sorry. This is my last post on this.

With all the articles on Woodward wanting to splash out on Varane last summer I'd imagine we'll be in for him if he decides to leave.

Varane is 25 years old. In his prime.

Koulibaly as the second defender would be any anazing. If Man city can buy two full backs for 100m +, then why should we not go all out for the two best defenders in the world, apart from VVD?

Might be time to cash in on de Gea if the swap with Varane is on. Oblak will have to be the replacement.

"PSG will have to raise some funds, not only for FFP, but also to cover the shortfall created by exiting the Champions League early once again....
Giovani Lo Celso and Jese Rodriguez are on loan with Real Betis and could be signed permanently, while Grzegorz Krychowiak should make his Lokomotiv Moscow loan switch permanent. Thomas Meunier, Layvin Kurzawa and Christopher Nkunku could also be sold in order to raise more money."

I'd take Varane and Courtuois for De Gea. Both shouldn't cost more than 70m each and DDG 140 really.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
he's arguably been the best player of 2019. top scorer of the league minus penalties. how is he nowhere near?
Individually I don't believe he is. Look at the lengths we have to go to in order to stop Hazard whenever he plays us and he's still an absolute nuisance. Mane isn't of the same calibre and you won't convince me otherwise. If Real have a choice then it's an easy one for me.

Hazard has more talent but doesnt always apply it. sometimes finding the player who fits the system could be more effective and beneficial. overall there's not much between the two players as far as making the choice for a move is concerned. one is more talented but the other is maximizing to the full potential.

@Kostov I'm not sure why you're wasting time arguing with Haram. He to this day supports Mourinho, even after the shite job he did.

Always thought Varane was overrated but he was great at the WC at least. Perhaps a change of scenery would be good for him. RW and CM are more pressing concerns imo.

So Varane will be the sacrificial lamb in Real's summer rebuild.
More like flirts all summer with Utd then a bumper new contract, Ramos-esque. No way Real are letting a player like Varane leave. If there is a chance of him actually leaving I'd pay whatever Real demands. Top player.

It cracks me up the amount people don't rate Lingard. Our play improves massively when he's fully fit. He creates so much space for everyone else to operate in.
Thats because he's one of the few actual wingers we have at the club. Lingard is a decent player but lets be honest he is nowhere near the level we should be aiming for.

Always thought Griezmann would thrive here. He's full of himself, his ego is massive and he's a bit of a cnut. The swagger and arrogance of a proper Man United player.

Athletico would certainly take Sanchez. They've took Morata and Torres for fecks sake!
He dosen't come across as egotistical or arrogant to me. More like a bit childish and immature.
Quality player though, its weird folks not wanting him because of his cringy antics given that most footballers are like that nowadays. Its what he does on the pitch that counts. We should buy him just to piss off Grame Souness.

I would sell him for anything above £60m with his contract running down..
Yeah, I'd take anything over 50. We've got Romero and Henderson to compete for his spot. There's a lot of clubs sniffing around Henderson, some of them big ones like bayern. He deserves his chance and David's wanted a move to Madrid for some time now for personal reasons.

I fear Varane is vastly overrated and of course will be overpriced.

Not sure why he'd want to move to Bayern though. Not like Neuer's going anywhere soon.

Can say that for most Real players. He’s turning 26, great time to sign him.
How is Varane only 26? Seems like he’s been around for decades

My worry for Varane would be the same as when we bought Schweinsteiger. He’s already won everything. We’d struggle to motivate him.

So you’re worried he’d stroll around the pitch sulking because he’s won the Champions League before? Spend team meetings talking about the World Cup?

I don’t get it...
