Ronaldo out injured

Literally everything that can go wrong goes wrong. We should have scored 3 or 4 already, if we keep going like this we can turn this around
Even if you lose today you still have the nations league to help you qualify

Luxembourg is saving our asses

Would be typical for us to lose this only for them to save us

I swear the most confident thing I've heard uttered by England fans is that we're 'quite good'.
There are some sensitive souls who got bitter during our World Cup run. Don't think they understood the irony of the 'Its coming home' chants.
As I type this, we take the lead! Its coming home!

I think it's arogence that the England players lack tbh to ever becoming the best. We have plenty of good players atm, but we'll fall short because we'll shit it when we come up against anyone of note.

He isn't. Just giving reason why Smalling not in. He is just scraping the barrel so he doesn't have to pick Chris.
Quite right. Is Keane better than Smalling - no. People have labelled him as a bad passer. He is not brilliant but not that bad.
Is Rose better than Shaw - no.

I am not critical of Southgate. Far from it. He has been a revelation as England manager but feel Smalling and Shaw deserve their place.

Not watching a game, tell me did we turn into ultra giga Sunday league team?
Wow Portugal could finish third in this group if they don't turn around tonight, already used up two home games. Luxembourg are beating Ukraine though which would soften things.

How does play off thing work for teams in nations league final? I assume the winner gets an automatic spot but what happens to the other three, do they just go back to trying to qualify from the groups or do they get yet another play off?

Shaw pulled out injured or he probably would have played tonight.

Shaw did have a place, he can withdrew through injury

Get the feck in. Finally

If William ever starts another game ahead of Danilo I'll give up on watching this team

Smalling is a terrible passer. Not bad? Behave. He can defend though and should be in this team

Portugal as usual better without CRonaldo
I've said before if CR7 didn't get hurt against France at the Euro 2016, I think France would have been European champions.

I don't know if it's the players being more involved in the final third or them simply becoming more unpredictable without him. Not so much being just better.
