Dont visit RAWK, but if the cross section of quoted posts is a true indication of the place, it really is quite an embarrassing place.
Not in any way indicative of any reds I associate with.
well... we quote for amusement obvs, but they do have a hardcore of these lunatics & we don't make stuff up as far I know. They are maybe averagely tending towards being less extreme than they were a few years back, when posters would get instantly banhammered for the most minor possible disloyalty offences.

it's maybe lost its edge a little bit

Anyone that either didn't post something worthy of being banned on RAWK within a week, or could simply tolerate reading the tedious, condescending drivel on that forum, has no place here.
Rawk has to be the pointless Liverpool forum about. Any time anything worth talking about happens the thread will be immediately locked.

I got banned years ago for posting clown pictures at some daft c*nt who kept writing a thousand words posts about why Lucas was a better midfielder than Gerrard. They banned so many normal people that that idiotic view was roundly applauded.
There's a post on RAWK comparing Charlie Adam to Pirlo.
The Joe Xavi Allen stuff was also taken more seriously there than the massive joke it was elsewhere.
Why do they hate Gerrard?
He once posted a link that mods hadn't verified.
I went to Rawk and eventually found myself on the watch list. That forum has really just become a caricature of itself. I particularly like the only open during windows transfer forums featuring hundreds of locked threads. Even the fecking general transfer thread gets locked. It’s insane. Ironically enough I heard about this place from them telling people they’ve banned to “feck off back to TLW”. Glad I did.
Banned from Rawk for stating AC Milan were there for the taking in the 2007 CL Final and it was Rafa's fault for not playing a recognised striker.
RAWK, because I laughed at grown men weeping over Benitez.
I had a temporary ban from Rawk after laughing at a grown man who said he was crying at the end of his bed because Rafa had gone.
Banned from Rawk I made a post that wasnt on topic, banned and told to think about what I'd done.

That's probably because the bitterness has subsided while they've been playing the best football in the world and we've been rubbish. They're good at shutting out the trophy difference even in this time because they've had a lot of practice at it.

Ok, let's see what our friends at RAWK are saying about our manager:
He's got the gig.
Giggs back as Player Family Liason?
Why wouldnt they just wait until the end of the season? Over eagar idiots...you have a plan and then completely disregard it at first chance.

Ah well, I wonder who replaces him next summer...
3yr deal, it's official. It was between him and Zidane, tough decision i know, but in the end, they made the right decision.
Yes! Best news this international week. Get in.
Manchester United has just hired the Molde manager on a 3 year contract.
In all the time they’ve had to do this, they’ve chosen to do it after two defeats in a row.
Cue losing every game until season closes.
Biggest job in world football, they said. Give it ole, they said.
Gonna be priceless when they start letting points slip. Fergie is going to be busy with teamtalks
Great news.

I was dreading someone like an Allegri who's actually won things.

Their post Fergie mediocrity will continue unabated.
Sacked within a year.
Be Afraid be very Afraid

Text from a United fan
Idiots. It will end in tears.
Boyhood Liverpool supporter takes over managers job @ Manchester United.

Could be our Mancunian Candidate.
Be interesting to see what transfer policy they have.

Scattergun no doubt.
Nah, i expect 2 or 3 'big' signings....ala United of the 80's - sort out their defense and then i'll believe they are thinking coherently....they also need a ball playing midfielder....they'd not do wrong to entice Modric for a year or two to scout the next best person for that role.
That’s scatter gun though.

Reckon they will get Bale in
there's never been a more United signing
Kenny vibes from the end of 10/11, although I think we only started losing after he was made permanent so Ole has the run on us here.
I popped in to Red café to see how they felt. I expected most to be cautious but they are delirious with joy. I can't understand that.
Good news for us.

Can I just say hahahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahhahaha

Glad I got that out of the way!
Ah ha ha ha ha

They actually appointed him

As soon as Zidane got announced at Madrid there was only ever going to be one way this was going.

It's currently playing out the same way Kenny's return to us in 2011 did. Right up to signing a 3 year contract following a brief successful caretaker role following the sacking of a shite, dinosaur defensive minded manager that created a toxic atmosphere between the team and the fans.
When Solskjaer took charge, United were sixth in the Premier League and 11 points off the top four.

But they have lost only once in 13 league games since - at Arsenal this month - and are now two points behind the London club, who occupy the final Champions League qualifying spot.

So they are now 5th then? Stormed up the league all of 1 place
My God, how the mighty have fallen.

They laughed us out of the room when we appointed Kenny. Ferguson smirked "Well, if that's what they want to do ..."

Tide has certainly turned now.

Barring that flukey turnaround against PSG and a backs-to-the-wall 1-0 v Spurs in the league, they've been bang average.
Yes, he settled the ship and "brought the smiles back" ... but so did Kenny.

They'll be a very good cup side.
Not worried in the slightest.

If they'd got Pochettino, Alegri, Zidane or the Atletico nutcase I'd be cautiously nervous ..... but not with the ex-Molde manager.

An improvement on Mourinho, in fairness to them.

Needs to get backed in the summer. If he does, he will probably do alright.
Not a difficult task to be honest.

Just say this out loud ....

Manchester United's two fiercest rivals have Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp at the helm while United themselves have the Molde manager now in full charge.
They do know that their beloved Klopp has won one more trophy than Ole?
They had a decent squad when he came, they’d spent a bloody fortune on it after all. It’s not like he took a bunch of relegation-threatened cloggers and turned them into a surprisingly good outfit.

Anyone who wasn’t a sour-faced, paranoid, Portuguese prick would’ve seen a similar improvement.
Excellent news, the mediocrity guaranteed to continue and even better news is their supporters are over the moon!!

Brilliant
There is absolutely every chance he's gone by christmas.
They actually hired him

You know you've messed up when your rivals are celebrating your managerial appointment
No doubt they'll try to spin it as us being "worried" or something like that, mind.
I’d laugh if they now lost every game until the end of the season and he got sacked before the start of June, costing them even more in avoidable compensation.

(I know we’d like them to take points off City, but there’s no way United are even remotely capable of doing that)
Excellent news!

He will do better than Maureen. With their money even a manager from a lower league should do that, but this gaurentees 3 more years of no top manager. BRILLIANT NEWS!
There's no way 3 years is guaranteed the pessimist in me says he'll be gone by this time next year.
The optimist in me says he'll be gone by Christmas
Empires are not built on nostalgia and sentimentality.

I'm very happy with this appointment.

The PSG result has gotten him the job.

Thank feck for that VAR decision now in Paris

I wasn't saying that at the time mind!
I was thinking the same myself. Quite possibly the luckiest victory of the season might turn out to be unlucky because it has coloured their decision to hire him. Now I'm hoping Barcelona gives them the good hiding they deserve.

Maybe I'm wrong and Solskjær, higher win percentage than Fergie, turns out to be an inspired appointment, but somehow I think I'm right. Anyway, 1 more win against City is all I ask, lose the rest please.
It is funny, they think us winning City will give them PL trophy, like they will winn all of the remaining games.

anyone know what’s the length of his contract and his salary details?
Apparently, 3 years at 7.5 million a year, half what Mourinho was on. Bargain, Molde managers don't usually come cheap.
Definitely good news for the rest of the league.
Get in, tremendous news.

Another 3 years of faffing about and going nowhere, before they hit the reset button and start from scratch again 3 years from now.
That is quite possible.

On the other hand, it could be a boot room tradition. We had luck with Kenny first time round so nothing to suggest it may not work out for Utd. Not that I like it to work out.

I hope it will be another 50 years before they win another trophy - Betfair Division II title.

Dumbest two comments there are the one about continuing post-Fergie mediocrity (just the three trophies to their zero is it?) and the comment about us being stupid not getting a trophy winning manager in given the fecker we just sacked.

I mean, they lost at home to PSG, got two lucky goals on the break (that penalty, fecking hell) and PSG were without Neymar as well.
and cavani.
Reckon they will do Barca now though.. With them on a high with the norwegian fella appointed.
Nah - Chewy and Phil love scoring against these clowns. Also maybe Barca has another player that can help out too - can't recall his name at the moment.

There's something seriously wrong with them, actually celebrating us appointing the manager who is doing great with us.

[28/03, 09:51] : Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed as permanent Man Utd manager on three-year deal

........
[28/03, 10:08] : Yea I know don’t worry tell Klopp to actually try and win something in his career rather than becoming a runners up specialist
I'll be genuinely amazed if he sees out his contract. The idea that he might be able to compete with Guardiola and Klopp, proven experienced managers who are both at well run clubs, years down the line with where they want to be, is just madness.
I wouldn't call man city a well run club. It doesn't matter when you're financially doped like...
Thank you Woodward. Another masterpiece in your reign.
He's been coaching and managing for 10 years. He's brought in a good coach to help him out. He has an advisor on hand who knows the game, the club, and winning, inside-out.

I think some of the glee might be misplaced.
It all depends who they buy though, they will spend a lot less see if they get in the right players first.
Who is the good coach he brought in?
Phelan. Hopeless as a manager, but he knows how to put on a good session and get a message across on the training pitch. Not the best coach out there, don't get me wrong, but I'd put money down he's better on the training side than Solskjaer is, so it was a smart appointment
For me, with him in charge, Phelan or no Phelan, they aren't challenging for a league title.
Most certainly, but he can probably keep them in the top four race over a season, and possibly win a cup
Can be useful to us then, taking points off our main challengers.

Has the BBC sport website ever put up a link to watch a managers press conference ever before.

The game has changed so much in 30 years though. Plus, we were already top dogs at that point.

It's going to take a miracle for them to overtake both ourselves AND City. By all rights we should both be hitting the 90pt mark season on season. No way United do that under OGS.
We definitely shouldn't lose sleep over the appointment, but I don't think it'll be the laff-a-minute some might be expecting, either. Steady top four performance with a few good highs and a few hilarious lows.
You won't be saying that when the sun comes out of his arse and he develops a total new way of thinking. Sachi,Michels and bauld fraud be damned.
I suspect that the laughs are more out of relief that they didn't go for someone like Poch who could get them to challenge rather than thinking that Ole will get them relegated.
Honestly you would think this appointment was the second coming of Rinus Michels.
He reminds me of David Brent. They would say that about Rodgers but fecking hell this guy is awful with the amount of shit he spouts. It’s as if Andeh has written his lines
Who's Andeh?
Andeh Tehte
The biggest fuel in Manchestoh!
I thought was Woodward?

Someone posted a picture of three cocks a few pages ago as well:
So it's beginning to look like this pic was actually a team meeting

Is Cantona huge, or are the other two just further away? And why is Mr Fergie wearing an earing? Did he get it free with the horse he was just sold?

Genuinely really happy they've done this. Suppose they had to, but loving how far that club has fallen. It'll be fantastic to watch them turn on him next season.
Oh, that's going to be fun.
As he's one of them the natives will give him more time than they would to an outsider. Perfect.
You'd like to think so however they're an entitled bunch so wouldn't surprise me if they turned on him if things get really bad
He owns the house VVD is living in and he is kicking VVD out in the summer!
virg will probably take a big shit on the carpet when he leaves

10-2-1 in 13 league matches since appointment... that works out to 93.5 pts over 38 games.

Why do you guys think it won't work out?
It will be better than Mourinho. Don’t get me wrong.

He will get top 4 and win the odd cup. But they’re the richest club in the world, thye should be wining the league every year, year in year out. They should have the best manager available.

But because the club is only about money, thye are more than happy to keep someone who gets them top four, success isn’t really an issue outside of that.

And Solskjaer won’t be bad, but on the flip side he won’t be Guardiola, Pochettino, Zindaem, Hodgson or Allegri.

So, he’s no disaster, better than Mourinho, but this stops them building a new era of success with a great team, because.... he’s just not a great manager.

So of course we’re happy.
He is an appease the fanbase manager. If they had gone out and got a big name with a proven track record I'd be worried, but they have gone for a fella who has got a shit load of talented players to batter shit teams, then get shown up by managers with a bit more nouse than him. PSG fecked themselves, but he gets all the glory.
Don't know why people think he will get top four. Might fight for it. But no guarantee of it at all. Have to come above 2 teams better then them already just to squeeze in. Not going to happen , probably finish sixth again or par as it's come to be known. Best they can hope for really.

I don't really know why they are so confident that they will match or become even better next season, they will surely be a top side but the strongest performances from them came at the end of last season and early on this one.

I don't think they will fall off but if they fail to win this year again its gonna be difficult to get even better next year again.

Is it just me or is their decline since Fergie left really similar to what happened when Kenny left us in 1991? They had the dour football with three uninspiring managers, whereas we just had Souness in that period but it seems like they're going the same way. They had the same overpaid players who seemed to care more about themselves than the team, like the "spice boys" whereas united have similar players like Pogba and Lingard. I feel like Solkjaer could be their Roy Evans in that he knows the club and is really popular with the fans. I could see his time in charge at United being pretty similar to Liverpool under Evans, where they play decent football and come very close to success but are never quite good enough.
The similarities have been apparent to me for some time now, too.

In the 90s United morphed into what we had been in the 70s and 80s. No surprise, as Ferguson modelled them on us.

In the 90s we regressed into what they were in the 70s and 80s.
He's a narky little fecker as well so can see him clashing with some when the honeymoon period is over and they struggle s bit.
Narky little fecker???? I think they like him...
