He's not even close to being worth those wages. It'd make him one of the highest paid players in Europe while not being anywhere near the best. The disparity between talent and wage at this club can't be allowed to widen any further.

Take the rumor mill with a punch of salt however the rumors that Rashford wants 200-300 thousand per week and or Barca want him for 100 million. I know what Ill take if true, thanks Barca.
If only that Barça rumor was true, I just can’t fathom it is, unfortunately.

What's with Barca constantly being used by our players to get a better contract? Have our players finally learned something from Ronaldo?
Wasn't Barca supposed to want Herrera in the 2017 summer also?

No one is paying enough for Rashford for us to worry about him leaving for a few years. Who’s going to pay £80m and £150k per week?

No way would Barca pay him that much to sit on their bench. If that’s what he’s asking, show him the door.

I suspect it may be bullshit, however.

Surely clubs should be able to offer incentive based deals. Like if he hits x amount of goals he gets a rise or even just a more realistic salary with a huge goal bonus. Or incremental rise built into deal. This massive leap is completely unearned

Why has he not signed then if believed United offered him 150 thousand, does he honestly think he is worth 200 plus. Having a laugh.

Martial new contract means he earned that much, and yes Martial refused 150k during negotiation as what was reported around December.

Yep, suprised people dont see it. Didnt help his cause over the 2 games either
Or it's Rashford agent doing the work like Martial's with Juventus rumor when they already bought Ronaldo. It worked for Martial.

Thanks to the Sanchez shit show every single player is gonna want double bubble
Think it's time we start to ask whether it's worth it to sign players for free? It makes all the sense in the world, but this is a prime example of how it can lead to disaster. Sanchez was able to get that much money because he was leaving on a free that summer and so he had to be offered an absurd amount in wages to be open to a United transfer in the winter. Micky was offered to Arsenal to make Arsenal accept the offer, and was a separate issue.

A player signing on a free has more leverage than someone else because the club no longer has to spend money to buy him. The positive is that you save money as a club. The negative is that a player gets on wages that their performance does not deserve.

In other words, players that come to a club through a normal transfers receive no benefit from the free transfer, only the club does. What 99% of players in the club do see is someone making wages gained through nothing related to their performance. This disrupts the locker room because wages are no longer resembling a meritocracy or rather those wages destroyed the illusion that wages were based on merit.

You don't sign these free agent then there would still club taking them. Every signing is a gamble. We got shite with this one, but he could have gone to City for lesser wage (strength in negotiation) with them have some money toward other signing. There is always alternative of how thing can ten out differently. There would be more players leaving as free agents as more money being poured into the game. Even squad players are ridiculous expensive when it comes to PL.

Rise after a certain amount of goals?!!

He’s already too selfish/idiotic. I wouldn’t want to incentivise him to be even more so

He's not even on double digit when it comes into goals, is He?
First Herrera, now him... I'm sorry but We need to get rid of Sanchez.

That's true. Some of our players would probably get into a cat fight every time we got a penalty

He's on double digit.

Too late. Martial got his contract. Even ridding Sanchez, Martial contract could still be a benchmark to compare.

If he wasn't playing for us he'd be in the stands watching us. There's no chance he's going anywhere whilst he's still wanted here.

His development as a player from the beginning of the season to where he is now is actually quite phenomenal. The kid has a Ronaldo work ethic behind the scenes and the perfect attitude to go with it. He has not even gotten close to his potential yet. He’s also not one of those kids that clearly has the potential but because of their garbage attitude you know they’ll never make it.

He will be a top 5 player for a while.

Having said all that I can’t continue to see my club being gutted by the precedent set by Ed and Sanchez. It has to stop. If it means sacrificing Rashford then be it.

This rumor was floated before the first leg at OT too.

Here’s how it works. Barcelona is a piece of trash, dirty, unethical club. Since they have no balls, no courage and they are filthy lying cheats, they have to use every low-class tactic to unsettle their opponents.

An “anonymous source” Barca club official calls a friendly journalist and claims that they are interested in Rashford to unsettle him before the match. They did it in the first leg, and they did it for the second leg as well. This gets reported and everyone goes apeshit, meanwhile, Messi scores two goals, Rashford misses his chance, game over.

Guarantee we never hear this story again, now that they have advanced.

God I hate that club. I hate Suarez. I hate Messi. I hate that fecking shit Busquets and all of his bullshit diving. I mostly hate the club hierarchy with all their whiny presidents who literally cried for weeks about Neymar leaving, and were going to sue everyone. Sour grapes. Cannot wait til that hairy hobbit retires and Barcelona slowly recedes into mediocrity.

He deserves a £3 quid pay rise with his performances of late.

Love him but if he holds the club to ransom, he's out along with Mata and Herrera and whoever else.

I want some semblance of discipline in the locker room again.

Good point in regards to City. Right now an established top side can promise a player a great chance at winning trophies. We currently do not have that.

It would be great money, but we're bad at spending it. We'd probably buy 2 players who arent as good as Rashford combined

It comes from spanish media and they basically link Barca to a new player from the opposition every time they play.

I refuse to believe any of this horseshit. How about making threads on players, when credible sources say something instead?

Just damaging the reputation of the players when we fans jump on board with this stuff.

£100m Rashford
£70m Lukaku

How much would Mbappe cost?
Indeed, or how much would Rashford be worth if he was Scottish . Laughable stuff . What that guy needs is a take it or leave it deal and a run in the reserves
