If the glazers have any sense, they would sell the club now. The club needs massive investment this summer and even after that the valuation of the club is most probably on its way down. This is the time to cash in

About the Saudis, I don’t know what to think. I look at how well City are run and if we can be transformed into a well managed club, I genuinely don’t care who owns us. I know the Saudis have done terrible things, but I care too much about this club to see it go down in flames and get embarrassed like today. If the price I have to pay to see this club back on top again is having bloody murderers as owners, then with a heavy heart I’ll pay that price

It will probably happen though. Maybe next month, maybe next year.

The Glazers won’t turn down a huge offer that pays off their debt and profits them. They’re not football people, they don’t care about United.

It’s only a matter of time until some mega billionaire buys us.

This would be the best thing to happen now. I may be able to stop supporting this club. At this moment in time the club is rotten from top to bottom. There is not one person at the club I would be sad to see leave.

Aligning ourselves with an authoritarian hard-line regime... risking our heritage all for the sake of a few summers of muppetry...

I'm ashamed to admit that this exact thought did cross my mind when the third goal went in today.
On the beach with games still to play.

If they like the sand so much, they can go and play in Saudi Arabia for all I care.

Might show them how lucky they actually are.

Anyone who thinks this is a bad thing needs a reality check. Right now we need to be free of the Glazers and have owners that allow us to concentrate on FOOTBALL. Not selling noodles and tractors and saving money and fecking around with contracts till the last second and allowing a moron dipshit like Ed in charge of transfers.

As bad as we are I still don't want this.

What the feck is wrong with you?
I'm not interested in politics. I don't care if our owner is the best person on the planet when he's fecking up the squad and leading us nowhere. I only want owners interested in making a good football team to watch regularly. Be it Saudi or whoever they will, anyone else instead of Glazers and Woodward please.

There's no way anyone from Saudi Arabia will buy United (especially someone from the ruling family) as long as we use the "devil" in our branding. The only way anyone from Saudi will buy United is if they're a non-practicing Muslim from there or someone who's promised a rebranding of the club.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that most of the Saudis are quite conservative. Imagine the fallout in Saudi Arabia if someone or a group from there buys United. Qatar and the UAE don't have the same level of conservatism as the Saudis do.

People want the Glazers out because they aren't football people and have "destroyed" the club, but will be happy for Saudi's to take over, even though they will damage the image of the club forever. Any trophies we MAY win (because its no guarantee either, despite what some of you think), will all be hollow and meaningless. Its why City still can't fill out their stadiums. It will never be the same again. The Glazers have hamstrung us, but we should think better than wanting a terrible regime to give us some gratification in football which ultimately means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Honestly, be very careful what you wish for guys.

I never want this to happen, although the thought of Woodward nervously meeting Mohammed Bin Salman for the first time is somewhat amusing.

Okay, so you don't care about being associated with a murdering, oppressive regime. That says a hell of a lot about you more than anything else if you'd rather be associated with that to win a few football games. But lets forget about that for a moment, you'd also rather them turn us into something similar to PSG? And that rests well with you? fecking hell, just support City.

Yeah, just stop right now.
At least we have genuinely won trophies in our past.
Hollow, undeserved victories will always be hollow.
I’d rather start watching golf.

I think in 20 years most top 6 clubs will be owned by the saudis or equivalent, might as well sell our souls early. It’s the way footballs going and feck it, I’d rather watch my team play like City every week than what we see now.

Nope. I only want a good football side. This is a football club and football is for me the only thing that we should ensure the owners will provide. Politics and shite, not really interested in any of these. As I said don't give a feck if the one owing the club is the best person on the planet or the worst as long as he's going to support the football side.

And no I'm not going to support other club. Otherwise I would have done at one point in past 6 years or so if I was that fickle regarding my feeling for United.

It's not politics when your club is a parody of a football club, like PSG. It's all well saying you're not interested in politics until it starts affecting you. I wonder how you would feel about it if you or your children were at risk of being chopped up with a bone saw if you spoke your mind? Bet you'd care about politics then wouldn't you? Effectively, you wouldn't be allowed to criticise our new prospective owners as you'd be killed, literally. But yeah whatever it takes to win some football matches right? That's what's really important here.

I'll take relegation thanks.

The Glazers are pro Trump so is there really any difference. If the Saudis buy United and treat it as a business , make United great again I would personally be delighted. If we look deep into all the owners of the top clubs I can bet there are plenty of skeletons in the closet.

My opinion about politics is simply all our countries have a dark side somewhere, even my own. Do you think I like my own country regime or support them ? I despise them, and insult them whenever it's possible, but imo I prefer to separate sports from politics. United is a football club first and foremost. I only want from the owners to be interested in football and care to make United at least watchable.

I can see your opinion, don't get me wrong. I think we just have different views on it. You seem to think the figures owning the club should be politically acceptable, but I prefer to separate football from politics, so I think we can agree to disagree.

City play as they do because of Guardiola. Before him they were inconsistent and frequently rubbish. Money won't solve anything. We've no shortage of that. Afaik, our wage bill is bigger than city's.

Agreed. I don’t care about politics at all. I just want an ownership group that cares more about winning than the bottom line. The Saudi’s might not know much about soccer, but they are competitive as hell and they definitely will do whatever it takes to top City.
