Fergie stuck Lindegaard in after De Gea’s poor start in 11/12, and he’s now cost us NINE (!!) points in the last 7 games by making awful mistakes.
In PL he fecked only against Arsenal. Maybe against City but that was more not good teaction than mistake

I agree the De Gea should have been dropped but people saying sell him and play Romero as number 1?

    Like Romero isn’t dodgy himself.

    Here, there, everywhere...
Romero was a bit rubbish vs. Wolves, wasn't he? I'd agree if his recent form was the same as under Mourinho. Not an easy call.
Yes, he was. He gave them two easy goals flapping at the ball, kind of shit that would have posters calling for De Gea's head. Dave is an absolutely terrible form but I still wouldn't Romero starting. He has weird cult following on the forum. It's strange.

    We all miss Giggs.

We need skilful and nasty bastards in here
True but when you see clips of Giggs in particular, you realize how much this team is flat. We don't have that player that is able to beat players AND create chances for others on a consistent basis.

Dont have a single bit of criticism for the 10 outfield players. Brilliant and dominant, just De Gea has let us down. Hope we can still get the win and repeat the first half performance.
Yeh the players did well. But they shouldn't have been sitting back and allowing room for pressure to tell, whether by magic, or fluke, or error. The sitting back has to answer for that error coming forth. De Gea needs jettisoning, but the team should not be allowing the flow of a game to change, regardless of dealing with it comfortably for however long until the equaliser.

It’s hardly happened overnight. He’s been coasting and making mistakes all season - no consequences, and now the pressure and attention is on him and he’s crumbled.
Not to this extent. He's making costly errors every single week.

He has reached the point now where he is a genuine liability and needs dropping.

There is a sentence I never though I'd say.

DDG is having a bad run at the moment without a doubt but saying he’s cost us top 4 is just daft.
We are playing well today and should still win this game if they lads keep their heads.
Our set piece work leaves an awful lot to be desired. When did we last score from a corner?
Lukaku playing very well today but Rashford seems to have no confidence in himself.Would Martial be any better or Sanchez?

I feel so sorry for big Dave. He confidence is shot and we all need to get behind him as he got us out of the shit so many times in the past.

It's a knee-jerk response where a player who isn't playing gains credit simply by not being the other player.

We used to moan about playing hoof ball with Fellaini upfront, id have Fellaini now for Lukaku right now.
This has been the best he’s played in ages. Are you even watching the match?!

I'd never thought I'd see the day when David De Gea was going to cost us the 4th place. He's been directly responsible for at least 5 crucal goalst against the past 10 games. he has been absymal.

People seem to forget the best manager the league has ever seen had no problem dropping our star players for far less than throwing the ball in the net.

Go out for a family dinner at christmas?

You are fecking dropped, Park and Rafeal in midfield next game.

    Doesnt like your missus?

    Sold.

    Doesnt like your book?

    Sold.

Doesnt like you questioning the clubs less than ambitious transfer policy?

    Dropped.
He did that from a position of strength not when we were building.

People forget his early years. The team was dire and he didn’t exactly add that much quality for 3 years at least

I am not for selling DDG. Just having a bad spell right now. But hope he doesn't have the gall to ask for 400k/week or whatever.
We won't have the funds to give him a pay rise. Will lose all the money from not qualifying for CL.

De Gea's confident is clearly shot. Not sure dropping him will fix that. After 5 years of being a one man defence, it is inevitable he would see a period of poor form.
But this is shocking. I haven't seen a worse run of games put in by other goalkeepers whereby they retain their place.

He's getting older, it's time to make him someone else's problem, if indeed he is on the decline.

Decisions all involve risk. Nothing is ever certain. But likelihoods can be discussed. For me he will, like everyone, get worse with age. 8 years we've used him for, that's good usage of an asset. Besides the fact he's wanted to go for some time, on performances and asset management alone it's time to get him out whilst his value is ok.

Aside from that his contract demands are ridiculous and for the sake of this club, the dressing room, the finances into the future... we need to make a stand.

Wolves - fecked up for the second.
City - fecked up for the first.
Everton - fecked up for the second.

Don’t agree with the Matic elbow point being made, I think he was just getting his arm out to shield the ball.

    Nothing in it at all.
Azpi is small and aggressive. He goes without thinking on 20cm bigger guy. It was not a foul.

What? What pressure? They werent doing anything. Their centerback was taking a shot from 35 yards out because they had no clue of what to do and it worked out because our keeper dropped a clanged. That tactics and performance and intensity from everyone was perfect.
Saying otherwise is flat out wrong.

He played fine after he signed his last contract. So there is evidence he would be fine but you are just speculating. He's in poor form right now, but there are 2 games left this season.

Again, if you think Ferguson would actually sell him I think you are overreacting.
Yes but now we’re 5 more years down the line and you only get a limited amount of time at the top level before you’re done. Mentally and physically. I think Dave is shot mentally. He’s made huge mistakes for Spain under pressure and now he’s doing it for us also. He’s single handedly cost the club more money in the damage he’s done in the last 10 games than his new contract is worth.

It's like when we played Rooney beyond his sell by date. Being an ex-world class player does nothing good when at the moment he makes the team lose and lose and lose again. Especially when you have the best backup in the league.
