What would be an acceptable offer for Pogba?

No idea what figure the current market would suggest as par for a player of Pogba’s undoubted ability but the headline figure would be affected (IMO) by a few factors.
Plusses would be his marketability and length of remaining contract. Also Raiola’s representation would help to get the buyer not to try to lowball the seller.
Minuses would be his current and expected wages and fringe benefits being very much on the high side, Raiola wanting his slice of the cake and the fact that the perception that United need to move Pogba on to aid dressing room harmony so may have to accept a lower than expected figure.

If he stays the alternative would likely be to give him a new contract on Sanchez money which United are unlikely to do if they think that he will not reach his full potential as both a player and a leader in the near future.

I think £70m and either Isco or Casemiro would be a great bit of business from our point of view. If we got both of them for Pogba that would be phenomenal.

In my view when we sold Ronaldo we should have similarly included Robben and/or Sneijder.
No Isco nor Casemiro. While one is a tunnel vision player despite all the technical skills in the world, the latter is just too limited. He's the main reason why Kroos and Modric had to be dropping too deep for the ball when he could have progressed the play quickly to them. His defensive game is solid though.

Madrid should pay the full 150mil and even more. We don't need their deadwoods. This is a lot different from Robben and Sneidjer. Robben was a terrific player while at Chelsea and whenever fit for Madrid but was unlucky with his injuries at Madrid. Sneidjer has always shown to have good vision and not a tunnel vision ball hog like Isco. I actually think Isco is a SS but just lack the finishing touch to his game. Whatever it is, I don't want him.

I think calling Casemiro and Isco deadwood is ridiculous. Both would instantly be first choice in the 6 and 10 positions and a midfield of Casemiro-Fred-Isco would be a cost neutral big upgrade on Matic-Pogba-Fred both defensively and offensively. Realistically £150m cash (likely to be £120m though I'd say) is going to be spent far more poorly than this.

Real Madrid would have to overpay tbh. United’s position is very strong with 3 years remaining.

Well, I think we need to do better than these players. We need a playmaker which neither Isco nor Casemiro is. I won't mind Ceballos here though.

I think a direct exchange of Isco +Casemiro for Pogba would be wonderful for United (and terrible for Madrid).

Coutinho going for £140m in similar contractual circumstances has set the bar here.

I’d be happy with Coutinho‘s money, but we should get more given Pogba is a World Cup winner and huge commercial asset in comparison

With top 4 pretty much gone, I think he'll now leave. Not too fussed either way tbh. If he stays, then great - we don't have the headache of structuring a whole new first choice midfield. If he leaves, then while it would be a pain to see him go before he won anything of note here, we at least will have made a profit on a player who never truly settled here.

When Real come calling, we shouldn't settle for anything less than a figure in the £150m-£175m range. We hold all the cards here and no amount of Raiola's chair chucking should change that.

I think the price is what will force him to stay for another year, even though he clearly doesn’t want to.

I think the Coutinho comparison is a good one. So, if that's to be used as a guide, you'd expect a bit more when the commercial side is factored in. My gut feeling is that we won't even see £120m, though.

The only way this sale would work is if we got Coutinho money, and were able to spend it as effectively as they did.
So either 2 top class wide attackers, or one and a top centre back.

Has anyone any sort of faith we'd have the ability to do that though?
Or were cute enough to get our deals done, before everyone knew his fee was incoming!

Some opinions here are really strange i prefer do not reply exotic posts tbh. The fact Isco is not a granted starter for Real Madrid doesn't mean he would not start for almost any other club and be an upgrade. Some poster thinks Casemiro is the reason Kroos and Modric had to drop deep to get the ball. The real situation was the exactly contrary. Casemiro is the reason why Kroos and Modric could operate so offensively in their winning campaigns and their full backs could play as wingers.

I'd take what we'd paid for him. I don't see how his performances here since he arrived would add anymore value to his price. But we regularly get hosed on transfer fees so in that regard simply owing to his marketability factor, I'd take 110 million and I don't think that is asking too much from Real.

£165m - we don't need to sell. The manager doesn't have a huge problem with him. 2 years left on his contract + 1 year option.

No Real Madrid players in part exchange. Thank you. They've not turned up in La Liga for the past 2 seasons, so the idea that they'd make an effort in rainy Manchester, seems unrealistic.

Got a feeling the club might begrudgingly take ~£120 million if Pogba pushes for it.

£150 million, and both Pogba and his agent forfeit any bonuses due to them from us in the event of a sale.

How many times are people going to peddle this utter ill advised BS?! :houllier:

Pogba was out of contract, we certainly didn't kick him out!

I think 120-140 would do the job, but I would hope that we get some business done beforehand. If we have the cash in our pocket we'll have our pants pulled down by everyone we go for. If it's EL and no CL for us next year then I see Pogba asking for a move. Madrid looks most likely which gives me fear that Woody will include Bale in the deal.

Ice your campaign, RM is asking Pogba to take a 1/3 pay cut. Knowing this guy and his agent, he is not going anywhere unless Utd agree to offload him for nothing. Should Pogba be forced to stay, he will be walking zombie next season. I say we bench him or ban him from the locker room like what we did to Schwestiger...

Remember when we 'overpaid' for him (according to everyone else) at $89m? Doesn't seem that much now...always the same with transfers really once commercial interests are involved. I like Paul but he's not been super reliable with us, not sure he ever will be, so happy to take a profit. But if it's Madrid paying, add 50m please.

150m euros minimum. I doubt Real will pay that for him. So he'll probably end up staying here.

Yeah like the same way we sold Di Maria for 45m after signing him for 60m. That really annoyed me. We should have at least got back what we spent on him.

Yeah nothing less than 200 million.

Coutinho and Dembele went for 140 million didn't they? He is far better than both. Neymar was around 196 million and that was sometime back now. Pogba is our talisman. Anybody who wants him needs to break the record.

120 million is far too little.

Personally I don't see any reason to sell Pogba. However he probably wants to be at a club that's challenging. So I'd try to go all out this summer in terms of transfers to ensure that nobody wants out of the project. Nobody we want to keep obviously.

£150m. One of the best players in World football. Massive commercial branding and merchandising attraction too. Any club will make their money back pretty quickly.

Shame to see him go. But if it happens, we move on.

Ole must be planning for this already.

Based on performances he has hardly increased his value from when we bought him. The only reason for any fee higher than 120m would be commercial based reasons and/or knock on from Neymar and Mbappe fees.

I feel the market has maxed out after the Neymar transfer and teams are not willing to pay crazy transfer fees. Recently the Coutinho transfer and Ronaldo has set a new Star Player Average. With Pogbas age and commercial Star status i would think £120mil is reasonable considering also he really wants to leave. Club made a profit and got rid of an unhappy player. Win-win.
