After reading how Liverpool have saved football from the oil money of the world, let's get real! It's stories like Leicester and this season's Ajax that are truly remarkable.

United now aspire to like the team they beat in EL final a few years back.

One team pushed on while the other stood still.

It’s been a long time since the champions league has been won by a team that you would call ‘defensively solid’. The fact that Juventus lost 2 finals in the last 5 years or so is a good example of that. It’s all about who has the most potent attack these days, and I struggle to see a more potent team going forward than this Ajax outfit.
I mean Liverpool are pretty potent too.

I said in a post above, both sides WILL get chances. It’ll be about who has the composure to finish them.

It’ll be an exciting game for sure.

Only complaint is that I hoped for more excitement. Spurs are putting up an equal fight to Willem 2 on sunday.

This Ajax team make me love football again.

Then I'll watch our bunch of cnuts against Cardiff and hate it again. Seriously feck our club.
Football outside of United is a beautiful thing. Take a step back and appreciate the beautiful game for what it is, not what United have made it since sir Alex left.

Ajax's best results have come away from home. Liverpool's best results have come at Anfield. Hopefully Ajax can surprise us all AGAIN.

Ajax the great beacon of hope for football. Romance, nostalgia, total football.. they are everything good and pure about football. So happy for them. The Dutch Masters.

Ajax have got this in the bag CL title.

Seriously just sell half of this useless, tragic bunch of footballers.

Would rather have not even got in to the semi final if we're going to play like this. What's the fecking point? Embarrassing shite. Go through all of that in the two legs vs City only to turn up and not even be competitive in the next round.

Absolutely dire, 1/10s all round.

Yeah if we’re being entirely objective, Liverpool vs Ajax is the final that this season of the CL deserves.

Someone tell @GlastonSpur (because he likes to talk £££) his team has been spanked home and away by a side that cost less than Sissoko

Imagine us playing like this. And winning. Don't think I've ever seen it.

2:0 HT, not bad considering Ajax played mostly with 10 man, having Dolberg or not, makes no difference.

Liverpool must be devastated that they'll face the actual "good guys of football loved worldwide"

So, not "Everybody wants us to win, la! The passion, the history, la!" anymore.

Hopefully one more after this to complete the set :)

With the way they’re playing, deservedly beating those clubs, I wouldn’t rule out. That said, of course we’ll be favorites and it would be a massive let down if we don’t win it. Van Dijk probably cost than the entire Ajax squad, which says a lot about what they’ve achieved (almost).

Ajax have been playing incredible. Spurs playing like don't belong into the semifinal, half of their squad can't pass the ball properly, Eriksen and Wanyama being the worst at that.

A rare occasion that you solidly say the two teams in the final are deffo the two best sides in Europe on current form.

We didn't, but we gave it a fecking go. We played some good football (really good football in the first leg).

This is just awful. Yes, Ajax are incredibly impressive but holy shit we are less than a mid table side right now. Our form and performances are relegation threatened club level.

Pochettino has so much work to do in the summer, if he's not backed Levy can feck the feck off. So much shite to clear out.

It's hard to imagine a United player running freely, let alone running at the end of the season. Feel like I'm watching the IAAF Diamond League tonight.

They did it with LVG at the helm in 95. One of the best squads ever assembled in world football, full of wonderkids.
I know, but I’m a bit too young to remember it.
