I know all about the bitter rivalry you lot have with Liverpool but come on, have you no compassion?

I feel a bit sorry for any runners up, however otherwise you might dislike them.

For the love of God, can you not find a shred of decent human sympathy?
Sympathy for what? Finishing second?

Bloody hell, there's some miserable buggers on here - and I don't mean the scousers. You lot would have been a barrel of laughs when we did our year in the second division.

Meanwhile
This thread is a bit disappointing if I'm honest. I'm missing our old rivalry. You should be laughing at us, and we at you.
That's the spirit.

Now, where's my LOL-a-copter

Favourites? With VAR and no extreme luck handing them 20 points I doubt it.
I meant that if City does a 16-17, Liverpool will be right there behind their asses. Pep's fourth season is usually his meltdown; if City's UCL campaign gets messy while struggling to be leaders in the PL, the worst could happen : "2019-20 Winners 30th Anniversary 1989-90 Full Circle La!"

One great moment. Stopped united in their tracks. The confused look on SAF’s face made it extremely enjoyable. I remember the tv kept showing a fan with a radio and all the bewildered looks. Great stuff
That confused man knocked you lot well and truly off your perch. 30 years la'.

I'm not wound up. I knew what it would be like on here. I came on because I think it's funny that you seem to be more concerned at whats going on at Liverpool than you do at your own club. For the record I'm not allowed to laugh out loud at what's happening at United as my wife is a united fan. I just have to do it inwardly
Hate to break it to you, but have you noticed you're on a United forum?

Since the 06/07 season, Liverpool have won 1 trophy, and been runners-up 8 times.

Specialists in failure.

Is this a forum for discussions or a dictatorship?

Laugh all you want if it makes you feel better, but we know where we are and where we are going. We also know what and where you are.Who do you think is laughing the loudest?
You don't seem to be taking today's result very well.

People always say that but I think City have maximum one more title with Guardiola before he decides to pack it in.

Fully expecting them to win it next season though.

Finally you look like a title winning team. You manage to get 97 points with only one defeat the whole season, a lot of last minute goals and countless lucky decisions go your way and you still manage to finish 2nd. I think that will be us.

The kicker with this is you cant just photoshop out a lesser trophy i.e. have the EL trophy gone from the Utd celebration picture to achieve the same joke.
Due to their lack of success you have to individually insert every Liverpool player into this meme.

We were 2nd last season. Not sure a thread laughing at you failing again is evidence of how the mighty have fallen. The football may be.
Depends if you define getting 97 points but losing the title by one against what’s arguably the best side the PL has ever seen - and a CL final - as a failure.

And yes, last season you came second, and now you’re sixth and have 9 pages of “let’s laugh at Liverpool” for the season we’ve had so far, after back to back losses against relegated teams.

For all the laughter aimed at rawk, this is incredibly rawkish.

You're referring to our fanbase, I take it, in which case you'd be correct.

This is supposed to be a thread laughing at Liverpool's failure to win the league for the 30th time in a row. But more than half the content is United fans whining about our own misfortunes.
I was. And as I said above, this thread reads like a parody of rawk minus the poetry.

What do you honestly expect when logging on a United forum the day your lot lost the title race?

Do you really expect United fans not to laugh at you failing to win the league at the end of the season? Come on. This is football for feck's sake.

And yeah, I do class failing to win it as a failure.

I agree, all this maudling self-flagellation by United fans determined to sound like good sports who don't take pleasure in other team's disappointments is getting me down as well. Definitely mawkish if not actually rawkish.

Meanwhile, getting back to the task in hand - laughing at Liverpool.

I will say this it was pretty pathetic seeing the amount of vermin earlier at the shopping centre wearing Liverpool jerseys that were either a) 3 sizes too small b) about 20 years old and was found at the back of the wardrobe or c) literally just bought.

Talk about coming out of the woodwork.

what does the scouse god of PL titles say?

Not today!
Cue Arya taking it to the Klopp King with a swift aaaaaah 2 hand knife shuffle move

Nah even with state we're in I will take solace in knowing that Liverpool are still 2 top flight titles from the promised land for another year.
I grew up loving Utd and being ripped by the scouse in the 80's so believe me they are feeling it tonight.

I will find joy wherever it presents and that right there is absolute Joy

Cmon d feck you Spurs

We can only imagine the barrage of comments coming our way if they had won the Title this afternoon!
God spared us!

Yeah, this is a United forum after all - I’m not sure why I expected any different, and with the season you’ve had, I guess you’re in dire need of something to cheer you up:D

We lost it a few times, worst of all against an injury plagued United side.

Seeing Liverpool not win, ok, doesn't make United's season any worse. But looking at next season, I'm dreading it. Liverpool and City will likely battle it out again. And unlike this season, we will start out with absolutely no hope at all.

There’s some slightly tolerable Liverpool fans on here but a sincere and heart-felt feck you to the ones who post on here whilst Liverpool are playing and chasing a goal in a title race or the last few minutes of a winning a CL semi.

Nothing in football is etched in stone.
We can start rebuilding our team and hope for better times.

United's point total was closer to Cardiff's than to City's.

If anyone should be doing the laughing... it's the scousers at us.

Thanks for all the numerous reminders that Liverpool have more points than us. I'd forgotten.

When United messed up numerous times over the years was it only fans of clubs who either won a trophy or finished above United that laughed and enjoyed it?

Suspect not. No idea why you aren't allowed to mock your biggest rivals when they miss out on winning the league.

They can give it plenty back if they win the CL. But if not.... oh boy that's going to be a fun thread :D
