I'd imagine we're being used here. Realistically we need to get back into the CL before we will be able to make these types of signings without offering stupid wages.
We've apparently 'significantly' improved our offer from €14m a year to him according to Catalan daily Sport.esAccording to who? That’s nuts.
We’re just being used to get better terms at Barca, sounds like we have at least tried which is fair enough as long as we have alternative plans.
I doubt Liverpool will pay him the wages he wants, Raiola wants him to have the best contract possible. If Barca move fails he'll end up at Liverpool I think.
After all that talk about Sanchez messing up our wage structureThis is the crazy thing, if a player starts earning that much when they’re 19, and every new contract probably sees them with a raise. How much will they be earning when they get to 30?
I'm definitely pitching my tent in here for sure. Been confident since Monday when some of the rumours started to turn our way
Getting a player like De Ligt would make players believe in our project. Because right now we look like a mess with so many average players, stuck in Europa League.Pretty risky giving that sort of money to a player so young. It might have a negative impact. But I’d prefer to see us try to get players that quality and age and take that chance than punt a load of £ on some 29 year old’s last contract.
Agree, its just as important as the Pogba signing, shows real intent.Getting a player like De Ligt would make players believe in our project. Because right now we look like a mess with so much average players, stuck in Europa League.

Who let the muppets out? Who let the muppets out?
He is in the age group that has seen our better days as a kid. It might appeal to him in that way? I don't think it hurts either having Blind and Van der Sar whispering in his ears.I cannot imagine he’d entertain the idea of joining us, when an offer from Barca is on the table. Also, Barcelona have the highest wage bill in Europe so I’m sure they will offer something competitive.
Nope. No credible sources, sadly. Is there any credible sources that says we're even close to getting him? People are just linking us to him because it'll drive the price up and we're desperate for young players who can immediately contribute.
The second one right?Would love it if he came here, the sort of transfer we need if we're overhauling the team.
Get Meunier for £25m and we've instantly got a much better defence than weve had in ages.
Shaw - Lindelof - De Ligt - Meunier
Or
Shaw - Jones - Smalling - Young
I know which one i prefer.
Only a Barca beat writer.Nope. No credible sources, sadly.
Please save us De Ligt!As much as I wouldn't wish United's predicament on anybody, I'm kinda starting to root for the "De Ligt saves Manchester United" scenario

No English, but plenty of Spanish.Nope. No credible sources, sadly.
Why? it was just reported the other day that Liverpool have cooled their interest..If Barca move fails he'll end up at Liverpool I think.
It's not news. It's nonsense. No English, but plenty of Spanish.
The fact the narrative has gone from "we expect De ligt to sign very soon" to "United are now the favourites" is positive news. It could just be the agent trying to squeeze more money.
Join our crew! This will be the 2019 version of Pogba in 2016.I'm definitely pitching my tent in here for sure. Been confident since Monday when some of the rumours started to turn our way

Yeah I agree. No need to get our hopes up. Cant see us competing with BarcaHe won't come here. Big money will be on offer from a dozen clubs, and we can't offer anything but the guarantee of shit football.
We're not competing with the big boys right now, nor should we be.
Then what though? Ffs it's ridiculous, what happens when he comes to renew? He's 19 and if he stayed with united he'd probably renew 3 - 4 timesHe will earn about £300k a week if we sign him. Not a bad wage for a 19 year old.
