Selling Pogba means losing 10-15 goals a season in a team that is already struggling to score goals.

If the plan is to sell Pogba and replace him with Longstaff then we are fecked. It will be like summer 2009 all over again, but this time we won’t have the genius of SAF to bail us out.
I would be happy for Longstaff and Fernandes to come in this summer, however would still need a box to box option in the middle too.

People who think Bruno will replace Pogba needs to have their head checked. Bruno is nothing like Pogba and it's suicidal to ask him to replace Pogba coming from a very inferior league. Moreover his qualities as CM is yet to be known. He has always played closer to the goal .

United are in talks with Tielemans agent.
So, I am not being difficult, or negative etc, this is a genuine question: Who leads (actually negotiates, argues for and against players and contracts with agents..) who actually carries out these tasks for Manchester United? Does anyone know?

I am genuinely curious.

Seems Woodward is still in charge of Transfer negotiations, with Judge doing the paperwork.

Pogba seems chipper, still doing the club promotional rounds.

Without looking up that in Google images or already knowing, massive kudos to anyone who can guess the country he's visiting, based merely on that headgear.
Korea, only because my wife is Korean.

Less than 150 million for Pogba would make us look like a laughing stock. On no planet does anyone think Coutinho is better than Pogba and he sold for 140 million 18 months ago. 150 minimum and he would be cheap at that price.
Less than 350m sorry, Hazard has add-ons that takes the amount to 133m with one year left. We have 2+1 years left for Pogba, it's going to be 125 x 3 = 375m but we could settle for 350m. All in GBP please.

We are in a strong position with him however you need to know if he is committed, if he is not you need to know as early as possible so you can reinvest in other players before they are signed by somebody else. Personally I think he started to play shit again last part of the season when zidane made those comments which would suggest he is not committed. Ole should have it out with him and get a decision asap. In his defence I don't think he has ever been deployed in a position where you get the most out of his unique talent, in an advanced attacking role, he plays too deep for me, I thought when we signed Matic and Fred this would free him up but I think he was still being deployed in a deeper role to help defensively due to our weak CBs, yes because of the range of his abilities he can do that but you are not tapping into his top abilities to create and score goals in a more attacking role which is a waste.

" ...according to 'ABC', Pogba is ready to hand in a 'transfer request' at United. If that doesn't work, he will threaten to go on strike at his current club and not return for preseason training...
Madrid don't want to spend more than €125m plus variables for Pogba whereas United are hoping to rake in closer to €180m..."

Going on strike would surely see him lose his wages in fines, no?

If he pulls a stunt like that - let him sit on the bench for one year, and we can sell him next summer

Pog strike

If it’s anything like his others, it’ll go straight into row Z.

Strangely I actually think more of him for handing in a transfer request and forgoing the laughably named loyalty bonus if leaving is what he really wants.

I'll wait until he's actually handed in a transfer request first before I believe he then plans to strike.

I absolutely believe he wants to go to Madrid but this sort of clickbait story is so easy to write without any need for actual information.

These 'strike' stories always come out during transfer windows. Then the player turns up on the first day of pre season training. Typical media bullshit.

 At this strike bollocks.

Madrid don’t half make up some shit.

As if he’s going to do any of that when United don’t have to sell him this summer. If Madrid actually wanted him they’d meet the asking price. He isn’t going anywhere on the cheap, transfer request or not.

I don't want to see Pogba leave but if he's bound and determined to go, I see no sense in keeping an unhappy player at the club. If Real want him, then maybe we can get cash plus a player or two in exchange, but it would have to be someone who can improve us and not someone like Bale who's on his way out anyway.

One day he will take a pay cut. Another day he is asking for too much money. One day he's agreed with Juve. Another day he only wants Real. Now he's going on strike to join Real. Probably while taking a pay cut, asking for too much money and posting himself in a box to Turin.

If that was true I'd call his bluff. Striking is dumb as it is, nevermind in a Euro year.

But I doubt that it is.

150m dude. Not a penny less that too full cash deal. Madrid's overpaid bunches can stay where they are.

Invest it on any 2 of Ndombele/Le Colso/ Rabiot/Partey /Saul

Yeah, not buying it. Standard stuff whenever Barca or Real are involved.

Madrid can feck off with their low ball offers. He is worth far more than Hazard so stop taking the piss and pony up his full value or go buy Eriksen from Spurs. Paul is just hitting his prime and is 2 years younger than Eden, not only is he on a long term contract with us but his resale value in 3 or 4 years will be far higher than Hazard. Age, contract, ability, resale value, commercial value all factor into the price and Paul is superior to Eden in every one of those areas. If we are asking 180 million we are spot on and if they try to haggle tell them the price is 200 million after July 1 and will rise 10 million a week from then until the window closes.
