That's pie in the sky though isn't it. There's virtually no chance that enough transfer business would be done by early July for a rebuild.
Yeah, I think we probably need to forget the July 1st deadline now. If the club enforced that now it's be self destructive. We haven't replaced the players who've already left yet, .Never mind anything else.

I don't think he could yet though surely? Also Herrera has left, pogba might leave. We can't lose another midfielder this summer especially since the others all offer less than he does.
I wouldn't put it past him. It's not like McTominay is some all around great midfielder. His passing isn't incisive, doesn't have vision, his technique isn't all that great. The kid has fight in him and has learned to play within his limitations to help the side out. Garner is someone who will fight. It's up to whether he can do everything outside of that, to replicate McTominay's production.

It's not going to happen though so I wouldn't worry.

We need to price Darmian around £5 - 10m to make him an attractive option to these clubs. Wage wise he can't be on very much more than Bertrand
Knowing us it's probably at least double. I'd guess it's one of the reasons we can't get rid.

We already need 2 midfielders. If Pogba goes we need 3 and then back up. McTominay, Fred, and Garner would be the back up.Pereira and Matic should be used in deals, instead of McTominay.

If we sell McTomminay at all, let alone for 15m then we're daft, Liverpool sold Solanke, who had 1 premier league goal to his name for 20m.

Besides that I've been saying for a while that McTomminay will have a very good future here, he wont be sold.
We never get proper fee for a player we sell. Yeah I hope we keep McT

I would be surprised if McTomminay was to depart.
United seem pretty intent in bringing the identity back within the club so for them to lose a good, solid pro with the potential to grow into a effective player would be a contradictory move, imo. Plus,we're not exactly strong in midfield at present.

That's for sure, we are far from strong in this area and need at least 2 top midfielders. If Pogba goes we will need 3.

Some of you may disagree but he’s is a younger, better version of Mata. He was surely worth a punt at that price.
Really, 1 goal and 1 assist last year in 27 games! Barely any shots or key passes. Gets dispossessed a couple of times a game. 1.3 bad control a game

He plays more as a DM and his tackling stats are not anything special...1.4 a game, 0.7 intercepts, 1.8 fouls

84.8% pass completion and 3.5 long balls a game. He is basically a crap Scholes in his later years.

Ethan Laird who is 17 years old and missed the major part of last season due to injuries ? Don't get me wrong - I rate Laird highly, but what you are writing here is just stupid - his United-career being over ?

First of all - there is room for more than one player in a position - but yes at the moment a player like AWB is much better than Laird. If Laird continues to progress he could actually displace AWB as a right-back, he has the ability to do that. If that happens - we might even sell AWB in 3-4 years.

But what if Laird doesn't progress like we hope ? It's just plain stupid to use the argument that a new player will block a players way into the side, when he is not good enough to be there yet. If he eventually turns out to be good enough - he will get his chance, don't worry about it.
How old was TAA when he broke into the Liverpool team? He's only 20 now and already established as their first choice. I would have favoured an older option to transition Laird in. I honestly dont see him getting a chance to be our first choice right back now.

I believe Laird will be the better player eventually, he has a more completely skillset and plays with maturity beyond his years. That said, as with anyone injuries could curtail him. Ultimately we are desperate for a RB and this solves a big problem for us, the Laird point is the only potential downside I can think of to be honest.

If Laird becomes better than AWB, then AWB can be sold to accomodate him. As of yet, Laird is seen as not good enough. Up to him to grab his opportunity, same as Rashford, Lingard (sigh) and whoever else will show in training/ when they come on whether they are good enough

McTominay is bad and Laird is ready to be put straight into the starting eleven.

Redcafe never ceases to amaze with the absolutely insane, devoid of any common-sense, kind of people it attracts.

If the plan at the club is to buy young players with a view to building success over several seasons then I'm all for it.

Ideally we go out Bayern style and buy up the best young players from mid-table sides (yes mid-table just like us before anyone starts) and do this 2-3 players per summer for the next 5 years. Each time we identify our 2-3 weakest positions and target players for those.

I fear for those of you who are looking for United to be challenging next season and think that this can be achieved by signing 6-7 players now for 50-70 million each like Madrid are doing. With this model of spending on superstars there is expectation from day 1 to be winning things. We've seen that this almost never happens, especially in England. Even with huge spending like Chelsea and City did, it usually takes at least a season for the team to gel.

This is all just my opinion and if all you want to reply with is calling me an idiot then please don't bother. Been watching united for the best part of 37 years and I'm completely happy to wait if it means we end up with a team of players I can like again. Last season McTominay, Lindelof and Shaw were the only players who I didn't feel I wanted out of the club at some stage last season.

Liking the youth we've been linked with laterly. AWB,Brooks,Maddison,Lo Celso and Issa all good talents and all seemingly have the right attitude to succeed, going by the views on various clubs forums expressed over these players.
Hopefully United continue with this pursuit of bringing some youth, courage and and general identity back within the club because we sure as hell need it.

Does the RedCafe twitter account look for the most outrage inducing, dumb and obviously bullshit news articles?

We were briefing that we have more than 250 million pounds to spend, at the beginning of the summer, I doubt that has changed in a month.
