Not that it was stunning but to set up such a cliffhanger and then cancel the second season was annoying

Blackadder.
Curtis and Ben Elton had plans to write the cast in as a jealous backup band to the Beatles in the 60s. Bald Rick was the drummer.

There are apparently plans for a new season but not that setting. Blackadder is a nearing retirement Uni lecturer is the one I heard

In the same interview, he added: “The thing about Blackadder was, it was a young man’s show criticising older people, saying how stupid those in authority were. So I did once think: ‘If we ever did anything again, it should be Blackadder as a teacher in a university, about how much we hate young people!”
I kind of like the idea, but thats only because I do hate young people . Whats said in the radiotimes here https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2019-07-01/blackadder-new-series/ makes sense about what the show is/was. And ripping into the current generation who have less might not be that well received. Theres some ideas for a season 5 in there as well. My favourite might be 'blackadder and the iron lady' even if it does sound a bit yes minister/the new statesman.

Justified ended right when it needed to. Unlike Olyphant's other great series, Deadwood.

Rome would have to be on this list. HBO could do wonders with the kind of budget they were putting into Game of Thrones, and this time they wouldn't run out of source material so it might not go to shit.
That wasnt the question.

Then I'd go back to 1996 and tell Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein that they could have as much money as they wanted for three more seasons of The Simpsons, so long as they kept 'Behind the Laughter' as the final episode of both season 11. Then I'd cancel it, make sure the show went out on top, and didn't gradually become a completely different show by the turn of the millennium. Or, even without giving the original showrunners three more seasons, just grab Mike Scully after season 11 finishes and tell him to produce no more.
Then it just might have been be the greatest TV show ever.

To me, season 3 of AD is almost as good and funny as first two. Would've loved fourth one back then, indeed.

I'd probably look to something like Black Books or Spaced. Pretty much every other TV Series I liked / watched in its entirety had a satisfactory conclusion and reviving it would probably make it worse.

The Sopranos. Just to know what happened.

The Wire would be great but I felt like the series was brought to a good ending. Not knowing how the characters all grew up was kind of the point; they were all irrelevant pawns in a never ending game.

It's also criminal that there is only 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers.

I used to watch Frasier on channel 4 in the morning. What happens in the end?
It's still on the channel I think.

It's been ages since i've seen the ending but if I remember correctly:

-Marty marries the boys former nanny (Toner)
- Niles and Daphne have a kid
- Frasier was leaving and you see him on a plane so think thhe butisboff and the just telling the story to another passenger. But the stewardess announces "Welcome to Chicago" - chasing a love interest
- Roz becomes station manager
