Vettel might be the multiple time champ with the poorest reputation by the time he retires.. Unbelievable how fast he's gone down hill

Lewis is bloody brilliant.

Glad Leclerc got his elbows out.

Seb fecked it again.

Great racing.

Silverstone should ALWAYS be on the calendar.

Lewis wins his 6th British GP , the most by any driver ever and increases is WC lead.
Like him or not , you cant deny his ability.
Fastest lap on a very old set of hards is the mark of an excellent drive.
I'm not denying his obvious talent but it helps when you're in by far the fastest car.

Looking forward to seeing a Hamilton-Leclerc battle next season for the title.

Yeah, that's exactly it.

He's an excellent driver. That's for sure. His results flatter him though, he's had the best car for several years now. It helps when Mercedes choose a butler to drive beside you.

I miss Nico in the second Mercedes. At least he made Lewis fight for his titles.

Toto Wolf mentioned yesterday how hard Lewis Hamilton pushes Mercedes to keep on improving.
So yes. He is in the best car which is normal for the best driver.
But he has a very big hand in making Mercedes the best.
It is not a coincidence that he continually gives credit to his team.
Which other driver does this.

Seb very sheepish in his interview , knows he fecked up.
Not having a good season , could be possibly retire after the season ends ?
Yes he should retire. He has nothing to offer these days and is a waste of a valuable spot.

All the great champions had fast cars. He is the only driver to win at least one race in every single year- some of those cars not the fastest. It didn't happen by mistake.

Great race I thought. Enjoyed the Max-LeClerc stuff immensely. I thought Ferrari had fecked up LeClerc's race again but fortunately he benefitted from the big incident.

What is Vettel at these days? He "honestly" looks like he's lost his edge completely at this point. So many high profile mistakes, and not even just at the very top of the grid.

Max on Dutch tv: the seat was loose and i din't have any power steering anymore after the crash.

Wasn't angry with Seb. Just disappointed cause he should've been on the podium.

He is fast becoming an embarrasment and a liability to Ferrari.
Yes he is still fast but increasingly error prone.
Whereas Leclerc is showing how to drive the car properly and still very quickly.

He cannot race wheel to wheel. I think Hamilton has finished him mentally. The younger drivers make him look mediocre at actual racing.

Leclerc shoved Max off as revenge and Max just keeps his foot down, love it.
Missed this in real time due to a toilet break, just saw a replay and that one was just epic! Poor Charles

Plenty of great moments between the two today and Leclerc did really well too. Max was actually quite calm today, post match he said he anticipated Leclerc being hyper agressive after Austria and hoped this would backfire for Leclerc.

He and Leclerc also flew back to Monaco together in some private jet after Austria apparently, which I find quite an amusing idea. Seems like a nice rivalry with a good amount of mutual respect, of course they know each other very well.

Great victory in front of his home crowd for Lewis as well I have to say.

Vettel needs to retire
stupid cnut vettel
Vettel... :nono:
Seb you dick
Vettel you dick
Of all of Vettel's many many mistakes in recent years I think that's my favourite.
What a moron
Vettel is an absolute joke these days.

He's worse in wheel to wheel racing than just about any elite driver in the last 20 years.

He’s fecking shite these days, the cheek of the cnut to put his hand up at Max and say “what was he doing ?”

I'm surprised none of the cars got stuck in the gravel. he just went straight up the back of him
That was despicable from Seb. He should be thrown out of the race. No punishment they do to him can justify the clear wipeout he’s played on Max.
Vettel hand up in the air blaming max
Disgusting.

well, if you can't hit someone from behind then we should all go home

:lol:Max cut him up.
how the hell was that a racing incident, Seb fecked up.
Cant believe ive just heard martin brundle saying seb will complain he didnt leave him a cars width
I think Vettel should go put the P1 marker in front of his car again.
I think Max should get the 3rd place one and twat Vettel round the head with it.!

He is fast becoming an embarrasment and a liability to Ferrari.

So true, I cant believe how good Le Clerc is and how bad Vettel is.

They really don’t.

Senna and Michael both won multiple world titles with average team mates in the fastest car too, it doesn’t take away from what they achieved.

It's the same for both of them. Ferrari's approach of having a number one driver and signing 'butlers' like arrivabene put it last year flatters Michael as well.

A couple of his titles have been without competition. You can't not win with the car that he had at some point.

Same with Lewis here as well as Seb with a couple of his titles.

239 races
86 pole positions
80 wins
143 podiums
3,241 career points

5 times world champion , broke most records there is to break , 6 British wins, more than any other driver , his result really dont flatter him.
He does not just sit in and drive , he has massive input in to the team, always getting them to improve things.

Crashing out of Germany while leading and basically losing the title is mine.

Vettel hasn't been the same at all since the Canada incident.

I think he's made up his mind and he's retiring this year. He looks like he gave up.
I think Canada was probably the final straw to be honest. Think the problems started further back than that.

I think it has to go back to Germany. Its a shame really, when he came to Ferrari I was sure he would get at least one WDC before retiring with us. But a combination of him degrading and Ferrari's worryingly often feck ups have meant that he was nowhere close in the end.
