Relax guys. Just wait and see where we are on Aug 9th and then start pointing fingers. For now, its all pure tabloid talk for everyone. Apart from the Madrid clubs we haven't seen any flurry of signings for any club.

Ed has a massive 3 weeks ahead of him .

Doesn’t really bother me either way but seems to be causing a lot of aggro......

Wouldn’t it be better for everyone if they’re was a “transfer tweet thread” and a “lower league transfer tweet thread”?

Surely the people interested in lower league stuff would find that better anyway.

I know it seems like football snobbery but there is clearly a reason lower league teams have less followers. Nowhere near as many people are interested.

The back and forth moaning is a bit ridiculous and doesn’t do the pro or anti fridge fans any good. Just clogs up the whole thread.

Surely must be annoying for the mods to have to sieve through for moaning posts (like this one haha) when they could be doing other things.

Just an idea.

I've been very prescient of Juve's summer considering they are known to be skint. They've made quite a summer already:
Buffon GK
Ramsey AM
Rabiot CM
Romero CB
Pellegrini LB
Demiral CB
De Ligt CB

They've also sold some 60 million worth of players.

Haven't Forest Green Rovers also signed like five players?

They've signed 8 players this transfer window so far, including Adam Smith, arguably their most economical signing.
Woah. I need to follow closer tabs on their signings . Ever since finding out about their green initiative and their plant based emphasis I've been a fan. Came close to promotion so nice to see theyre making moves

Damn, Barca giving two fingers to ffp.
Why do you think we are giving the finger to FFP?

It's true that we have splashed serious money on Griezmann, De Jong and some others but we have also sold over 100m worth of players so far this summer. Our current net spending for this transfer period is about 140-150m euros. Add Junior Firpo and that sum increases to 180m, which is a big sum, don't get me wrong, but it's nothing too concerning for a club with Barcelona's revenues. Furthermore, last summer we actually ended with positive net spending, as surprising as that sounds. We are also planning on selling more players, Coutinho, Rakitic and Malcom being the main candidates for further departures until the end of this transfer window.

Or read the rules and just keep on scrolling past the stuff that doesn't interest you. I know I know it's an amazingly simple idea..

Don't know why I keep checking this thread when I know nothing is happening.
Same, and since how bad it was last season and how it has been generally, I’ve been more invested in this transfer season than ever... I guess I chose the wrong one

I am past getting worried about how shit United are at transfers.

This summer, I have spent time with my family, deleted my Twitter account, watched the CWC, focused on work and got into Love Island.

I feel a lot less stressed as a result

Sarri will make them better. They stagnated with Allegri, De Ligt will give them defensive stability and Sarri can work on possession and passing. Juve have more potential going forward than they showed under Allegri.
Maybe. Alternatively, he's not exactly a seasoned winner.

The two best teams in Europe in terms of style of play, balance of squad and coaching quality are – sadly – City and Liverpool.

We really are an embarrassment.

This whole, focus on one player at a time nonsense is seriously infuriating.

I miss the days where a few days after the season we’d sign players that filled voids.

If you identify a player then surely negotiations shouldn’t begin with weeks to go in the transfer window.

Totally agree but my point was deemed off topic and not accepted by the kids when I made it last week

Fair comments, the problem is getting that type of midfielder though. The likes of Robson, Keane, Gerrard etc are legendary for a reason. It isn't like there are 5 or 6 of that type who are wanting to move to us and are realistic to for us to buy.
Yes, but we have over 60 scouts. Surely one of them can spot a goodun now and then.

Brilliant! Was so good at Sheff Utd last season, I really didn't expect it. Really interested to seeing how he does in the Prem. Obviously he won't get chances here this season and he knows Sheff Utd's players and staff so he'll feel at home.

Well you've ignored neymar and that is looking like a large cash amount plus one of, if not both coutinho and dembele.

Expect a quiet day for us rumor wise. Journos will get their clicks from the game so transfer news will probably be a bit quieter. Plus it always is on the weekend.

"We are going to get the business done early next summer"

Fecking shambles of a transfer committee.
