Definition of tyre kickers Inter Milan, they come round waste your whole weekend and then offer you way below what you're asking.

Lets say Lukaku never left Everton, they'd want 75+ million. Just because it's United it feels like we have to give in and write-off 20 million. If Inter and Conte want him they have to dig deep.

Rejected 45 mil for Perisic 2 years ago and now bid 54 mil for lukaku.

Why not add couple of dishes of pasta as well.

So, basically they want to put in an offer just about good enough to avoid passing Conte off, but without any hope of being accepted.

Solid strategy.

"We are going to get the business done early next summer"

Fecking shambles of a transfer committee.
It’s so frustrating. Where is the accountability? I’d like Ed to at least come out with some sort of sentence of what the club’s strategy is or what the market situation is... But that’s too much to ask I guess.

The nerve/cheek of these cnuts expecting a cut price after playing hardball over Perisic...

Time to tell them to pay his valuation or feck off.

I'm sure Conte will be happy about them messing about and wasting everyone's time while he's already going to be short a striker

As much as I want Lukaku sold, I’m glad the club have rejected those derisory offers from Inter.

They mucked us about with Perisic. We offered £45M and they demanded £50M and not a penny less. Now we’ve set an asking price of £75M for Lukaku and that offer is way below that valuation and rightly so rejected.

If Inter are looking for some middle ground, I hope we tell them to f*** off! Where was that middle ground when we wanted Perisic?!

We should tell Inter they have until next weekend to make an acceptable offer - otherwise negotiations stop dead and don't return.

Tell them if we dont have time to replace Romelu, we don't sell him, so don't come back next weekend with another poor offer. Last chance saloon - pay up by next weekend or he goes nowhere.

Inter didn't want to sell Perisic and saw him as a key cog in their team. Not sure why that is brought up constantly.

Don't think that's entirely true. They could have easily priced us out by asking 80 million or something, they were clearly interested in selling.

From what Ole has been saying, he is more than happy to keep Lukaku as well. He may not be as important in the team as Perisic, but we're not actively seeking to get rid of him. Additionally, Perisic was a few years older and at £45m we were already willing to pay his market value (if not more). Lukaku is arguably a level above Perisic was as a player and is someone we invested a lot of money in a few years, whereby the market has only inflated further. Realistically speaking, we're well within our rights to ask for £75m+ for Lukaku and if Inter can't afford that/aren't willing to pay that, they can just move on to someone else.

A players value still remains the same regardless of how important they are to one coach. Perisic was a upper level journeyman winger who was 29 at the time. Lukaku is the second highest goalscorer in the PL since he came here and is Belgiums record goalscorer who is just 26. We don't need to bend over for anyone. Not for this embarrassing price anyway. I'd be ready to sell if they came up with 65-70m. But this is a joke

I really dislike loaning players of this quality to clubs the level of Leipzig. They are too well run, successful, established and clued-in that i feel like their is too big of a risk that the player likes the lay of the land while on loan there and would seek to make the move permanent. Not to add the risk of him getting the taste of a totally different culture both on and off the field that he may also enjoy. I'd rather he and similar talents go on loan to the likes of Brighton, Southampton etc

Some of you guys need to calm down. Social media age has made everyone demand things so quickly. Back in the day we would have much less of an idea of what is going on and would have to live with it. Which clubs do you see their CEO coming out to publicly update fans on their transfer strategy? Things like that would weaken you in negotiations.

The market is currently in a state where prices are absurd, hence you see a lot of clubs not making tons of signings quickly and easily. The clubs that have made a fair few signings are in the minority. The two Madrid clubs have either been very quiet in the past few years (Real) or had their squad gutted this year (Atleti). We all want our team to be reinforced and for us to get back to where we were, but the level of impatience amongst fans in the modern day is crazy. A bit of worry is fair enough, but the inquests and meltdowns are for once the window shuts and we have the full picture.

Inter , we should just tell to me feck off and dont call us again, Conte then can think how to recall Icardi back. What a bunch of jokers.

This guy really annoys me, why does he think anyone gives a shiny shite about his opinion? He's always at it. If you're reporting then report, nobody cares what you think or what angle you've been told to peddle by a club or agent.
He is right though. Those bids are ridiculous.

Sawiris forcing Villa to keep going after fellow Egyptians. Thought he was smarter than that.
