Di Marzio just updated an article.

I can't link it as im a noob but it translates to:

The dialogues between Paulo Dybala's agent and Manchester United continue in search of a definitive agreement. The player's representative is still in England, while the Argentine has just started for Italy, where from tomorrow he will resume training with Juventus. looking forward to reaching an agreement with the club that wants it.

The sounds coming out of the journos aren't encouraging. Doesn't fancy the EPL, would prefer to stay at Juventus, PSG or Real would be his preferred choices, doesn't fancy playing for a club with no UCL. I hope this won't be another Di Maria situation with a player who didn't really want to come who quickly became unhappy. If we were talking cash I'd be very wary now. The only mitigating factor is the fact we're swapping a player who's surplus to requirements and wants to leave anyway.
The sounds out of journos who arent reliable and make shit up all the time, you mean.

Di Marzio, the guy close to Sarri, Simon Stone, etc., are all the reliable ones. Di Marsio said that hes having a meeting with Juve people and presumably that will be the decider. All the other reports are people make shite up.

If he goes back to Juve that’s it really

I disagree. I think JSV would walk in our current midfield. The problem for him was that back then United CM was a well oiled juggernaut. No one could break into that
He also flopped in Chelsea as well who back then wasn't oiled machine like United. He just wasn's suited to fast paced PL football, while in Italy where he had little more time on the ball he was joy to watch. Don't want to derail this thread anymore since it's about Dyabala not Veron. If we manage to get Dybala I hope he makes faster adjustments to PL football than Veron did.

'The dialogues between the agent of Paulo Dybala and Manchester United continue, in search of a definitive agreement that would then give the decisive impulse to the exchange with Romelu Lukaku. The Joya representative is still in England, while the Argentine has just started for Italy, where from tomorrow he will start training with Juventus again. Looking forward to reaching an agreement with the club that wants it.'

The pessimist in me says it seems very gung-ho in that I doubt Dybala was among the list of names OGS gave to Ed at the start of the window. So how much of this is us just flapping at a big name and how much is it us saying, actually, the swap suits the new philosophy of young hungry players? He'll suit the system but does he suit the OGS philosophy?

Having said that, if the deal gets over the line, I for one will be happy.

Well it could certainly have been a more negative update, tells us bugger all really though.
Nothing more than yesterday. Seriously.

His agent has flown to England for talks, Dybala will talk to Sarri and the club about his next step.

It's moved no further.

I'm in two minds about Dybala. Great player but from what it sounds, he doesn't seem too keen on joining us. In this case, I'd rather just sell and spend the money on Bruno.

This update doesn’t actually update us on anything. Di Marzio should have said whether the deal will or will not be concluded, not that it will be known later (we don’t need Di Marzio to understand that future will tell)

This is the sort of saga that will have Jim White at home, in a gimp mask, strangling his own neck with a gaudy yellow tie and his penis with his tiny little hand.

He’s said good things about United in the past and I doubt his agent would spend 2 days (minimum) speaking to United if there wasn’t a chance of a deal.

Think we’ll know more tomorrow.

He has an IG story with a picture of him on a plane. I guess that ties up with Di Marzio story.

He must be unsettled knowing they’re accepting bids for him. Must feel like shit coming back tomorrow knowing they’re happy to see the back of you.

In fact surely they spoke to him first before accepting the bid.

To recap: the reliable sources haven't said anything new

Gazzetta dello sport says united offered him ~300k a week and he's demanding ~420k

Other rumour mongers in italy picked up from the sun that he's demanding €14m a year which they taking to mean net

In other words, nobody knows anything and should just wait for Di Marzio's update later tonight

even at 300k I would walk away. Fairly sure that would make him the second highest player player in the premier league (joint with Ozil after Sanchez)

It would make him unsellable and we can't afford to have anymore players on the books who we can't shift if we want/need too.

Offer him 250 at max, if he says no walk away.

Any info on what he is currently on at Juventus? Google shows a site called capology

https://www.capology.com/club/juventus/salaries

Has Ronaldo listed at (gross/in £)946,211/week
and Dybala at 213,663/week.

Accurate? Are they really paying Ronaldo 1m/week? insane.

And Dybala isnt getting 400k/week here.. what a joke.
If Woody even considers that, we should sack him on the spot.

The 300k is gross, so it's actually about 150k, which isn't bad for a player like him. Even the 420k is 210k net

This is one of those Kroos or Ronaldinho ones that's never really quite on, IMO. Just a feeling.

Yeah.. Don't see it happening. Wont be disappointed either. Can't say I am a fan.

Not against it.. Lukaku is out .. Dybala is better than no one.. But if it doesnt happen, ok.

It has been said from the beginning that he wanted a face to face talk with Sarri to have him confirm that he wasn't in his plans.
That's actually so silly. Just call the guy. Also, you mean to tell me that nobody has messaged him as yet?
Must be living in the 80's.

It does not really matter.... Di Maria came to United back then because PSG couldn't buy him then and then just used us as a springboard. Same way, Dybala DOES NOT want to come here. I VEHEMENTLY discourage the board to buy players who do not want to be at United or play in the PL. That usually goes on to affect the entire team. I would be very much happy if we went into the season with Bruno and Maguire and kept Pogba.
I was initially skeptical about your opinion here but then I saw that some words were in capital letters. Now I'm completely convinced

Messi’s contract is worth £1.6m a week so Ronaldo is going to want some thing like that.

This would make sense if you used good examples.

I don't know about Kroos. But Ronaldinho was definitely on!!!! Apparently LVG veto'd the Kroos deal so that would have been a dead cert too.

I'm sure the issue is more that Juve want Lukaku and not him for some reason
This. I'm quite sure the talk will be. We are getting Lukaku you will not play if he arrives and i want him over you.

Simply put you are blocking me the manager from getting what i want.
