Getting there slowly, Robertson and TAA are essential for 7m a piece, Origi will probably start the first couple of Liverpool games with Salah and Mane barely getting any rest this summer. Greenwood hopefully to be a good investment
What's the reasoning for Aguero over Sterling? They're both the same price but Sterling scored 30 or so more points last season. Sterling's also been playing at #9 in preseason and Pep says he will likely start as striker first couple games seeing as both Kun and Jesus were at copa america.

Yeah I agree. Think with Jesus to potentially now also get more game time, it would be silly to select Aguero over Sterling. Aguero hardly played more than 60 minutes for the first half of the season also.

I have two options... not sure which is better... please help!

Ryan
Digne, TAA, AWB
Sigurdsson, Salah, Sterling, Maddison
King, Delofeou, Haller

Subs: Button, Dendoncker, Kelly, Aarons

or

Ryan
Digne, TAA, Laporte, Aarons
Sigurdsson, Tielemans, Salah, Sterling
Haller, Wilson

Subs: Button, Dendoncker, Kelly, Greenwood

So most people are going with Salah. I feel like you get a better balance with him out of the side and you can cover it with 2 Liverpool defenders and Firmino whos good for a 20 season goal contribution

This is exactly why I posted it on here, I thought I had it all worked out and then I missed an obvious selection choice, so thanks! haha.

Thought this was really hard this season! Have had to make real sacrifices to get the key players in!

At the minute I’ve gone for the following-
Leno (Button)
TAA-Laporte-Digne-VVD (Lascelles)
Salah-Tielemans-B Silva-Milivojevic (Dendoncker)
Kane-Jota (Greenwood)

Gone with Miliovojevic for the time being mainly due to him being on penalties but tempted to switch to Zaha once the transfer speculation is sorted.
Will also likely swap Leno out for Fabianski after gw1 once West Ham have played City!

Quite happy with it at the minute

How the hell am I going to get Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Fernandes, Dybala and Greenwood into my team?

My team for week 1

Fabianski

Alexander-Arnold
Ake
Robertson

Bernardo
Guendouzi (long term it'll be Aarons brought into the defence)
David Silva
Maddison
Sterling

Aubameyang
Vardy

Subs: McGovern, Greenwood, Aarons, Hanley
Made my first changes, got rid of Maddison and replaced with Tielemans, got rid of Bernardo and replaced him with Perez and swapped Greenwood for Jota

New look side

Fabianski

Alexander-Arnold
Ake
Robertson

Perez
David Silva
Tielemans
Sterling

Aubameyang
Vardy
Jota

Subs: McGovern, Guendouzi, Aarons, Hanley

Looks stronger I think

But call it, the Maguire-Dunk scenario:

TAA Robertson AWB Maguire Dunk
Sterling Maddison Pérez Fraser Dendocker
King Sir ‘Arry of House Kane Wickham

0.5 in the bank.

This team can go 5-4-1, 4-4-2

2 solid GKs (I think)

King & Kane on Pens, swap Maddison for Milenkovics if you’re a penalty person (I just might) or Zaha or “Upgrade” to Martial or Pulisic.

Sub Diop for Dunk if Leicester don’t replace Maguire with Dunk.

Swap out Wickham for Greenwood, if he starts.

Simple Captain choices Sir ‘Arry or Sterling week to week.

I’m getting closer.

I think he's injured at the moment.
Cheers. Seems a minor injury, if he’s nailed on at 4.5 I’ll make money eventually. I tend to go with a premium GK, Ederson is lights out the best choice GK and value for money since City’s Defenders can rotate at the most inopportune of times. But Burnley’s GK can steadily become an investment at 4.5 that I could cash in on later in the season. Also a solid sub.

Yeah. I'm now debating between Ederson or rotating £4.5m's again.

Each season is different, of course. Ederson was gold for me last season, I think only he and AWB were week 1 selections that lasted the entire. Ederson had a bloody assist IIRC ;)

Hi Mods, I have a private league which me and a group of friends extend out to as many people as possible, £10 each FPL. Am I allowed to recruit on the café?

He could score 25 league goals, 15 assists. Much easier to start with him and downgrade, than make 2/3 transfers to get him after he bangs a hattrick against Norwich.

Second one but way too much on defence. Drop Luiz and try to get in Perez

I'm really please with the following squad:

GK: Pope (Ryan)

D: Alexandre-Arnold - Van Dijk - Stones - Zinchenko (Kelly)

M: Salah - Zaha - Sterling - Martial (Leitner)

A: King - Wilson (Greenwood)

I'm just looking for a player with low ownership to replace Leitner. Zinchenko and Stones are not nailed, might swap one of them for AWB, Rose or Maguire.

Probably going to rotate the armband between Sterling and Salah. Feeling optimistic! Thoughts?

Made few changes and I'm now with:

Heaton
Digne - Cathcart - Robertson
Sterling - Dedoncker - KdB - Salah
Kane - Greenwood - Ings

Button - Westwood - Aarons - Kelly

Bernardo Silva

Kane
Jota

Bench
Dubravka, Boly, Diop, Dourcoure

Will more than likely change before the start of the season but I'm quietly confident ;)

I've now got down to a decision between Sterling & Barnes (other £6.5m striker) or Fraser & King. Bearing in mind i've got KDB already I'm more tempted to the latter.

It's too weak with all of Salah/Sterling/KDB and Kane imo.

I could live with that defence but you can't expect much from the rest of your mids and attackers. Greenwood will probably only get sub appearances. Adams might start over injury prone Ings and you don't really want to play Dendoncker every week. If you want Sterling/Salah/Kane then at least downgrade KDB and bump up Dendoncker and Greenwood.

It's just too weak a first XI. Dendonker, Greenwood and Ings are poor picks to be starting.

Having Manchester United players depends on what happens regarding PP. If we keep him, then having Martial(if he starts as the ST as he should) might be very smart. If we sell PP then i will stay away from any UTD players in the first rounds.

Yeah, it's still subject to change following the last rounds of pre-season matches, but that's the price I am paying to fit in 5 premiums + 1 good player.

The plan is to rotate between Dedoncker/Westwood/Aarons/Ings/Greenwood for the 2-3 final places in the team.

Got to be too weak up front surely?

You basically only have Bournemouth strikers as greenwood will be occasional sub 1 pointers.

Shaw over AWB? Why?
Not entirely sure on it, I've changed that 3 or 4 times  Last season was his best yet, more settled in the team...and a lot of AWB's points came from clean sheets last season by comparison, whereas Shaw did better with goals and assists (iirc) granted in a better team, but still.

 we're all in the same boat. It could be a great decision! AWB got plenty of BPs though...
