Verstappen finished 20 out 20 races since falling out at Hungary last year, all top 5 finishes as well. Now finally his first pole position, seems like things have come full circle. But everything seems to be going so well for Red Bull over the last weeks that I have a sneaky suspision today might be a bit of a let down like Mercedes had last week.

first corner is going to be key, Max is not the best from the start, unless he nails it , he could be 2 or 3rd going in to turn one, but Bottas and Lewis need a perfect start.

I'd rather he takes another year and gets more experience before being pushed into a team with Hamilton, putting a guy that young in a team with a likely 6 time World Champion could destroy his confidence.

That is also my thoughts , second season in F1 and in a Merc would be a mistake.

Not looking likely now, as Martin Brundle just suggested their only option now is to extend further and have fresher tyres or pray for a safety car like Silverstone.
