I would take that over not signing anyone at all. It's our fault for being in this mess this late on.I'm just worried we will be stupid enough to take Bale at the last minute

I wouldn't. He'd play for 5 minutes, get injured, and spend the rest of the season in a full body cast.I would take that over not signing anyone at all. It's our fault for being in this mess this late on.
Was probably more likely than him playing in the States, Rooney was always a homebird.Seeing Rooney in the Championship will feel almost surreal.
Those 5 mins would still be better than anything else we have at RW unfortunately.I wouldn't. He'd play for 5 minutes, get injured, and spend the rest of the season in a full body cast.
Sounds like his family may not like it.Shocked by this. Thought he loved it in the States; and he has certainly been highly revered. Perfect retirement move I thought. Good luck to him. One of my favourite United players.
Seems like the perfect spot for him. Easy Peasy.Tweet

I really enjoy it. High quality journalism for the most part versus most papers. You can see why it attracts the good ones. It's a good article. I just read it on The Athletic. If this is the sort of stuff they are going to churn out, I'll be very happy with that subscription.
I very much doubt we are done. I strongly suspect one more will come in. Once the English window shuts, we will see some outgoings to foreign clubs of our surplus/deadwood.Well this week we've gone from muppetry to heavy critisism in the span of 2 days. Seems like our window is over, I'm pretty satisfied with what we've done considering it takes time to build a new side. Hope we do well in the next season, and think we will play a more exciting brand of football. Hope Ole gets time on his hands to build a new side, and some people in this forum really need to be more patient with what he's trying to do. I think most of the people on here would do a lot worse in his situation, as there are thing going on behind the scenes that we're obviously not told about.
They'll probably ban all sorts of screen shots and copy pasting soon enough if they haven't already. The Athletic pay wall model going well I see
Good move for him. Clearly trying to get his head in the coaching businesses and I think/hope he will be a success one day.Tweet

the link's in English mateAny sort of translation?
Seems a nothing article. Dybala weighing up offers from us and PSG. Lukaku waiting for an outcome. It's like the Italian journos have been flummoxed by our briefing that we're not interested and just throw out a token article.Any sort of translation?
Surely it should read “weighing up an offer from PSG”the link's in English mate
Sarri also discharges Paulo, who is now weighing up offers from United and PSG
I said "are they a football club or the mafia" as the tweet said Juve told Dybala he's brain or he's signature will be on the contract. Not sure what your rant above has to do with that....?United have done nothing wrong here. To be fair, Juventus haven't either. Juve have a player they don't want and wanted to use him to get a player they did. United have a player they don't want and were interested in the deal offered by Juve.
The player from Juve couldn't agree. The player from United just wants out. The Juve player is prepared to be treated like shite and used his out to try to obtain a ridiculous deal to leave. His agent exploited the position as well.
The end result is Juve will be left with a player who loves the club but deep down knows he's not wanted and has been treated pretty badly, but ultimately his own greed has left him stranded with little bargaining power.
United are left with a player they will try to sell elsewhere because they know he wants to leave. They have backed away from signing a FIFA superstar and rejected his unreasonable demands and they have appeared to learn from past mistakes.
Just because Ole, or Ed, or the Glazers don't buy who the fans here want, doesn't make it right to declare all out war against them. Claim they are clueless, claim they don't care or claim they are inept
They have signed an exceptionally promising young winger/attacking forward. They have paid a lot of money for an exceptionally promising defender/wing back to replace a player who was never a true fit, and fill a position that has been neglected for years.
The young player is a proper talent and has shown he could be a top world class player In his position after a couple of performances. His potential is exciting.
On top of that a world record fee has been paid for a centre back. A position the fans have been raging about being filled for years now and with a player who could become truly world class. But the fans moan we don't spend enough, then moan we spend too much.
Instead of being happy let's ignore the positives and instead let's moan and attack and disrupt and act like spoiled kids because we didn't sign a FIFA team and because players the Caf liked were ignored, because let's face it, the Caf knows better.
Bollocks. Yes there are negatives but there are so many positives that are being ignored or overlooked.
We have some excellent youth players who can step up, and remember, nobody wins anything with kids!
I just hope that ridiculous statement comes back to haunt this generation as much as it did the last!
That tweet was a joke.I said "are they a football club or the mafia" as the tweet said Juve told Dybala he's brain or he's signature will be on the contract. Not sure what your rant above has to do with that....?
Have you ever seen the movie "The Godfather"?I said "are they a football club or the mafia" as the tweet said Juve told Dybala he's brain or he's signature will be on the contract. Not sure what your rant above has to do with that....?
The 27-year-old, who has turned down a lucrative contract offer to remain with Spurs, has attracted interest from the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Agent wants €15m and they wouldn't come back to the table unless we agreed to it. That's what i saw today anyway and is apparently the reason we walked away.Wait what
These Italians just won't give up will they?
Yes Juve just want to keep the story going. They know the deal to United is dead, but they still need to find a buyer. These Italians just won't give up will they?
I'm guessing this is a ploy to get other interested clubs to bid so he's out of there before the season starts
Makes sense, especially if they want to sell him to fund the Lukaku deal.Yes Juve just want to keep the story going. They know the deal to United is dead, but they still need to find a buyer.
Was different class last season - tremendous workrate aswell as finding the back of the net regularly. Was hoping, as was the club, that as we'd made this far into the window he'd stick around for this season. Turning £2m into £20 in two years isn't bad going though, will still miss him. One of my favourite moments from last season was him scoring and winding up the Leeds fansGreat signing. Surprised nobody else tried for him.
