Just speculating myself as well. Doesn't seem in keeping with the successful strategy that has got you to this position in the last few years.

In my opinion could be the very undoing of Spurs if you break that disciplined structure.

The right play is to offload Erikson to us and replace with the younger options on similar wages.
I’d hate seeing him in a United shirt, and it’s not only that we sell him to a PL side but right now you are a direct rival, so I’d weakens ya and improves you lot. Literally 2 days left now so we will find out soon.

Yeah, a lot of Reddit level/Tier 2. Someting is happening here alright, but can Woody complete?
Same as with Ramos, Dybala, Fabregas, Bale( while he was in Spurs)....so no.

We are talking about a man who needed two weeks to buy player from championship and one month for Palace player.

Barcelona would be foolish not to try for a Eriksen + cash for Coutinho. He would take so much of that creative pressure away from Messi. It almost makes too much sense.

A United player through and through. Push Pogba deeper for his last season and get Eriksen bedding in as the most advanced midfielder. So long as Maguire and Wan-Bissaka are as advertised, we're a midfielder away from being back in contention at the top of the table next year.

Would be more shocked by us signing Eriksen than I would any other player we have been linked to IMO he will join a European club after our window has shut

Looking forward to seeing this years "sword handle" formation in action:

De Gea
AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
Pogba
Bruno
Eriksen
Dybala
Rashford Martial

Romero, Tuanzebe, McTominay, Lingard, Mata, Gomez, Sanchez
People will moan that we'll still be overrun in midfield

Spurs couldn't pay his wages....

That's the reason players like Eriksen and Alderweireld are on the way out

Yeah it will be really stupid to sell him to a rival on top 4 spot when they'll have the rest of the month to sell abroad.

It doesn’t work cause he presses really well yes but tackles like bambi. We have Kane and Son who both can create. It’s his ball in the final 3rd that makes Eriksen the player he is. He has always had an ability to at times disappear, especially when playing deeper.
So we'll occasionally be playing with 9 men this season..

Dont see it. Since when does Levy have any feelings for us? Surely he can sell him abroad. Then Eriksen, surely we arent as attractive to him? He would join for the money. And then Woody, even if everything is aligned, he would still feck it up, no way are we doing this in a few days. We need a month

It depends entirely on which other clubs are interested. I agree - if Real, Barca or PSG come calling - we are likely to lose out. But there is no way Levy will allow Eriksen to run out his contract and and lose £60 million in the process. There simply is too much Money involved
Well you may very well be right if Spurs are in for Dybala, Coutinho, Lo Celso and Fernandes. They need to cash in on an unsettled Eriksen. I'm not as pessimistic as I was a few hours ago.
