Jesus is that really a bad offer? We paid £75m right? Take that and run!
The problem is now that numbskull is on strike, Inter will bid low because he is trying to force a move. I think Ed should take this all the way to deadline day for them. Fine Lukaku his wages and let him train in Belgium. He's being a cnut.

Lukaku is really going all in, eh? If Inter can't stump up the cash before September starts then what happens? Talk about burning bridges.

So we are paying his wages for him to go and train at another club
It's better not to have him around the club, Howson said he was being disruptive during media duties in Singapore earlier in pre-season

He’s gone. Missing a training is 2 weeks fine. It’s stupid to burn 360k for one training. He might be negotiating his personal terms with Inter. Sharp decline of the pound makes 75 million Euro pretty close to heat we paid for him

We're not going to accept a penny less after the shit Inter pulled with Perisic the other year.

We're probably trying to bring a replacement in, before we agree on his departure. I imagine that's the only holdup.

Is there anything he can do to fight for a place in the starting 11, honestly? It’s a difference in styles.
He could try and adapt, which is what all top players have to do at some point during their careers.

This just goes to show that Lukaku has finally found his level, at Anderlecht. Good luck to him. Not!

The funny thing is, people love to bash Lukaku and tell us how shit of a player he really is, in the same time we have Inter and Conte trying to sign him all summer and a club well run like Juventus doing the same even offering someone like Dybala in exchange. I wish the other shit players we have assembled in the squad drew such an interest.
This made me laugh very hard and I'm still at work. Thank you for that

Could end up rotting in the reserves for a year at this rate. I kind of admire the club's hard stance on getting the right deal but it's pretty risky too. We'll be paying his wages and having an unhappy player for a year and his valuation might drop even more. On the other hand why shouldn't we get 75 million for Belgium's all time top scorer and a guy who already has a 100 PL goals.

I started to get really frustrated with him last season ever since he missed those sitters against Wolves back in september, but man this summer has really got me to despise the guy. Kind of want the club to give Martial or someone else the nr 9 shirt.

This is why fans shouldn't manage the club.

There is no point being emotional or short sighted. The valuation from Inter may have been a bit lower than expected, but I struggle to see the benefit of letting an unused asset's value tank. Even the line "other clubs will know not to mess with us" sounds... ridiculous? Get cash plus saved wages, charge the lost amount to the game and move on with a learned lesson (we probably won't learn but whatever)

This is such a weird thing to do when you don't even have a club lined up to go to ...where's he going to train next week if he isn't sold?

Didn't he do the same thing at Everton? Spent months making public statements hinting at joining Chelsea and pissing Everton off...Then ended up signing for United instead.

There's either more to this or he just isn't that bright.

He would come back to United I'd think. Shouldn't be a problem I'd think... The players and staff aren't thinking like fans.

Could we not just loan him out for the season, whilst doing the same with Couthino for us, same sort of fees involved.

For all Lukaku's faults he will score plenty, and will likely be worth just as much next summer.

Come to think about it he hasn't had a preseason and needs to stay fit somehow. Of course this wouldn't be so much of an issue if he hadn't burnt bridges with his teammates with that leak. Probably why he doesn't want to enter Carrington. He hasn't been a model professional in all of this and is the biggest hypocrite we've seen in a while after mouthing off about being a grown ass man that could take criticism better than the rest.

When he came back from injury last season he played more than the players he referred to had played under Jose. He wasn't first choice but got plenty of minutes. At the first sight of competition he's throwing his toys out the pram. Enjoy Italy and their tolerant fans.

Then why is he training with Anderlect? I'm sure he would come back but it'd be quite awkward to just slot back into the first team picture. He could have just trained with the team as normal and be no less likely to get his move to Italy.

You don't think it would be more awkward?

I think you're right that it'll be awkward. In the grand scheme of things I don't think it matters. Once the season starts no one important will be worrying about this.

He is training with their under 18's so he can pretend he is actually good at football.

Surprised to see him training with another team, with or without United's permission. The fact it is the U18s as well, makes it worse. Just strikes me as unprofessional, and stupid.

Yes he may want a move, and such. But in the end he should be training with our first team players on the off chance he remains here this season. And at worst he can go train with our youth teams if he wants extra fitness.

Lukaku is clearly a massive fecking bellend. He thinks he is way better than he is, and I am delighted that Ole dropped him on merit last season. Instead of working on his game and trying to improve, he’s throwing his toys out of the pram. The sooner we accept a bid and move him out the better.

I can genuinely say that despite his ability to score at a reasonable rate, he is the worst starting striker we have had at the club since.....shit....Dion Dublin perhaps? Can anyone think of a main striker we’ve had that has been worse in the last 20 years? Forlán had a bad time here, but was a better player. I don’t count Bellion and fringe players like that....

Watching him not even be able to do basic controlling of the ball, having shocking fitness, terrible movement, and a shite attitude, has made him one of my least favourite United players ever. Should never, ever have signed him. Lots of people, in fairness, said he was too poor technically to play for United. But shamefully I thought he’d be good enough. Never been more wrong about a player.

An interview with Don Balón during his training with Anderlecht :

Lukaku : "I don't care about the haters. I really don't! I'm telling you. I'm super focused and am an adept student of the game, these young players help me understand the game better, their philosophy... now if you excuse me..." Fecks up a simple ball control and blames Lingard for it, forgetting He's not there.

"No laughing! I'm a grown ass man! I'm much more of a man that you'll ever be!"

Interviewer : "I'm a female"

Lukaku : Cries and runs to the toilet

Poor decision to let him train with another team, we won't get the offer we want.

We need to stop paying his wages and sell him as soon as possible. The fat twat is on strike
Where exactly is he fat? I really don't get the need people have to throw insults at him based on a supposed appearance.

Not sure if he's away or not with or without permission, I don't get the hate...

Exactly. The only difference between your opinion and mine is that I knew he was god awful before we bought him; people saw his scoring record and assumed he must be good. Well Darren Bent scored a lot of goals in the top flight too.

Genuinely can’t think of a player we’ve had in the last 30 years that I’ve disliked more. Nani was frustrating but capable of the sublime. Anderson was a wasted talent but still somehow loveable. Lukaku though? Jesus wept. £75m, which was even more just 2 years ago.

Anyone without an agenda could've deduced that.
Wouldn't be too hasty scoffing at this news. Someone said that SKYSPORTS corrected themselves afterwards and some tweets are saying fines incoming.
