Please let it be true! I don't care if we're paying all his wages. Out of sight, out of mind. At least he's not stinking up our dressing room. Maybe he'll hit some form and someone will take him off our hands forever?

Innovative thinking by Ole to actually follow through on the joke and actually give a game to the first person to turn up at Old Trafford in studs on Sunday.

feck off. A fit Sanchez could actually be useful for us.

The problem is that since we didn't sign a CF to replace Lukaku, we only have Martial, Lukaku and Sanchez in the first team as CFs.

If Sanchez leaves, then our options in attack are very limited. Martial and Rashford will be starting pretty much every game. And if one of them gets a lengthy injury 17yo Greenwood suddenly becomes starting XI player.

That's not good. We need options.

I hope not. I’ve been trying to convince myself that maybe, just maybe, there’s still some fragment of a world class footballer in there that can maybe score some goals for us this season. We need the bodies, too.

I think we'd be crazy to get rid of him given how thin our attacking options are. It's all nice and romantic to say that Chong, Greenwood and co can easily replace him, but I think that is very wishful thinking, at least for now. As for his wages, yes they are obscene, but with the transfer window over and the likes of Rashford and Martial already having received pay-raises, I don't really see Sanchez's wage as being a big issue for now.

If Sanchez leaves, that means one less option for the attacking lines. Lingard, Martial, Rashford will be the only ‘established’ attackers, with James and Greenwood as depth. I dont know if it’s a great idea to loan Sanchez with that lack of depth.

What was he doing that was so bad in the dressing room? Was he a negative influence or cause any problems?

We'd save some of his wages and 75k in appearance bonus every time he starts. What were we thinking seriously? Even Ronaldo doesn't have those type of contacts.

I reckon we'll pick up Llorente as a body to sit on the bench.

He does need to be moved on. The chances of him regaining form, or simply staying injury free, are slim.

Rather the minutes go to Greenwood.

You can never win on RedCafe. You begged for Sanchez to leave, nobody will take him under 'normal circumstances' though. This is the tradeoff.

I dont get the Redknapp reference, im not from the UK, feel free to enlighten me on that. Did it reflect his style of ‘analyzing’

It seems basic logic yes to not loan him, but basic logic hasnt always been associated with the board these couple of years now has it.

Any sort of deal to get rid of him would almost definitely involve us paying part of his wages. Still worth it. Of course we'd be light with depth and really lean on youth, but I'm ok with it. Also a very underrated aspect of what I think Ole wants to do is really get rid of those who aren't here for the right reasons or mentally ready to fight for the side like he wants. It's never good having a bloated squad, and not just for financial reasons. A tighter squad of players who all want to be there, all will work hard and all are ready to be used with none of them moaning all the time or being unnecessary distractions will inevitably increase the quality of the training sessions and the morale of the team, and increase the focus of it.

Darmian, Rojo and Sanchez are the 3 clearly useless players who I think Ole will try everything he can to get rid of, but we'll see. As a supporter, I'd be happy enough to see him gone even if we pay 50-60% of his wages. Its money the glazers aren't pocketing while simply removing Sanchez means more time for Chong, Greenwood and Gomes.

They'd still pay a loan fee I think.
Naff him off out of it...
He cannot be a good influence around the club and it's better to get rid of that negativity, and even if Roma 'only' pay £100k per week, that's nearly £5m that United wont be paying.
Probably good for a decent loan fee too..

He might be the model pro, but he's our most expensive player and he's rubbish on the pitch. If i'm a Manchester United player who feels like slacking, i'm going to look around and think "well if he's tolerated, then i should be too".

This is crazy. We'll need Sanchez upfront or as LW if Rashford gets injured/needs a break.

Thank you Roma.

EDIT: It's united paying the wages, not so sure then. What's the point of that?
Point would be having a more tighter knit squad, more focused squad, better morale, fewer distractions leading to better training sessions and a clear marker of if you don't work for it, you're gone.

Unless something horrible going on behind the scenes, craziness with no replacement. What is going on with United.

Presumably if one of Rashford or Lingard get injured, Mata comes in at the 10 (or a midfielder with Pogba pushed up), and Lingard and James the 2 wide players. If another injury, Greenwood/Chong/Gomes. They're squad members, and I'm happy they are. They're quality young players and I think theyll do fine in bigger roles, no worse than Sanchez. Both Samchez and Mata are certainly 2 who we can just give all their minutes to Chong and Gomes and see no decrease in quality.

Why is there talk of his lack of replacement? He's never really contributed. He's the very definition of dead wood.

I suspect Sanchez has ruined some summer targets due to them using him as the reference point for negotiations, as well as making renewals a nightmare, so now the club want rid at any cost.

If he goes we have, what, 8 players for 4 positions, 3 of whom have played about 11 senior games between them.

Sanchez is a non-entity and it would hardly make a difference if he did go, but I'm unsure as to how we can actually keep this wonderful high press that everyone is so excited about going over the course of a season when a) the squad is as thin as it is and b) one of those 8 is Martial.
