McTominay - Shirks responsibility because of questionable ability
    Pogba - Sloppy
    Pereira - invisible

The criticism I'm seeing of Pogba is not deserved. He is being more disciplined, box-to-boxing, getting his foot in and setting up attacks. He has certainly paid the price for a couple of silly moves, but that's Pogba.

Another manager which ignores our right flank by playing Mata/Lingard there, so feckin stupid.

Getting dominated by Ross fecking Barkley ffs, outside of our good 15 mins after the goal they've cut through our middle like butter. Ed should be drawn and quartered for not buying a DM in the 3 months he had the incompetent cnut. At least we're ahead, but worrying we've created very little in terms of quality chances. Rashford and Martial dawdling too much on the ball/trying too much and of course we have no width on the right side. Would bring on James or Greenwood for Pereira and move Lingard central. AWB and Slab look good at least. Need to come out strong and grab that early goal or we'll inevitably concede

That was piss poor, level of clueless when it comes to playing football. Are there coaches out there who can improve this bunch, just a little bit?

If we keep like this, i can see us turning into Sunday league team in last 20 min. People can yapping about Greenwood, Gomes being young, not ready, to soon for them all that bullshit but at least they know how to play football a bit.

If persisting with same formation, get Lingard off and get Greenwood.

Mixed half from both teams. Lots of errors and poor passes. We still struggle to play out of the back, especially Shaw and Lindelof who needs to improve. McTominay and Pereira not involved at all.

Some criticism here is really unwarranted, we're playing Chelsea not some 5th league cannon fodder.

Chelsea looking a lot stronger than I thought they would.

Our strengths are obvious (pressing, energy. AWB) and so are our weaknesses (zero control in midfield, strikers can only play one way)

Happy with the 1-0 though. Would take that right now.

Lampard has Chelsea playing a specific brand of cohesive football in the just 2 months which Ole has never done in 8.

    So tragic.

Defense looks good midfield is worryingly bad. Forward is crap.
Chelsea have been fecking shite too. It’s easy to criticise Utd without making stuff up.

AWB has been very good thus far. Nothing has come past his side at all. Looks like money well spent

Exciting half, we lack some guile upfront, we get in great positions and make nothing from it.

I'm not sure how Pogba's brain tells him it's smart to do the kind of stupid tricks and flicks he tries at times.

Oh look, wanky complaints from our residential whingers.

Dodgy first 15, but other than a few mistakes which we can put down to first game nerves, we’ve looked decent.
I like you ivaldo, but why do you always have to oretend that everything is great? Chelsea hit the woodwork twice, pogba had one or two very good saves, and we never looked in full control. And we play at home. But apparently we are looking decent.

McTominay had good preseason but he’s been really poor, his lack of ability on the ball is a real issue. Perreira as well is just miles off the required level to be a starter.

There are some positives so far but it’s just highlighting how poor our midfield options are and why so bizarre we didn’t strengthen.

We should have signed at least one midfielder. We lost two in the last 8 months and we signed no one. Thus was bound to happen. Wait until we play Pool or City, we will be eaten alive I'm afraid. We maynot concede many goals this year but we will struggle to score, especially if and when Pogba gets injured. Sad to see how utter shite we have become

Its almost like Sarri had nothing to do with them playing as a team.

Andreas, McT and Lingard very underwhelming.
Pogba in his usual street football mode. Also, his positioning is dodgy.
Rash carries on his poor form.
Martial seems a bit lost. His misplaced pass almost led to Barkley goal.
    AWB seems solid.
Maguire best United player thus far.

All in all very lucky to be ahead.

AWB: Excellent first half. Solid defensively and provided an outlet down the right flank.

Maguire. Solid as solid gets. Made some good interceptions and won everything in the air.

Pogba: Quiet until we got the goal, then started to exert his influence. Needs to do the simple things more.

Martial: Found himself in some promising positions but like last year, kept making the wrong decision. Needs to release the ball quicker.

    Rashford: Clumsy. Great penalty.

Lingard: Transparent. No linkup with AWB, they may as well have been strangers. Greenwood or James should replace him before long.

Some.of the play by us were very good. We must be clinical, too many showboating. Ole must work on that aspect.

Lindelof has been the best player. Hands down.

Back line looks solid. Forwards not in full flow and that happens.

The midfield however looks dire. Pogba not playing well. McT is still learning and Lingard is meh. Pereira however is out of his depth. In fairness we are playing him RW but honestly we hurt ourselves with such a terrible window. The good teams will dominate possession against us as our midfield is dire.

I will say the obvious. Yes, we need midfielder and winger but reality is that our manager is limited.
8 months and full preseason and solid transfer window( he got 3 players who he wanted) and we see what? Chelsea with some b team players and brand new manager are destroying us. There is no pattern in our game whatsoever. We sit back and wait for some sloppy counters. What is excuse now? He didn't get midfielder? Pogba is lazy?

Pereira only made 6 passes in that entire 45 minutes (out of 8 attempted).

He either needs to find his way into the game, or he needs to be subbed off.
