Ward-Prowse is saying "we knew we were playing a top team", but honestly that team sheet Man Utd put in wasn't a top team.

Good battle between a relegation side and a mid table side.

Ole, Ole, Ole. Next time we score. Sub Rushford for Jones and protect the lead. These players needs to stand up and be counted. Lingard, please disappear.

We could have played for another 5 years and not scored.

Well done lads in attack. All the penetration of a wet tissue

This is our level. Things are only going to get worse once the EL starts up and we get a few more injuries.

When we said you guys were lucky to beat us 4- 0 and that 4-0 wasn't a 4-0 performance you laughed at us. The results have shown otherwise.

Too many united players aren't good enough.

Ole knows the mentality of player we need, he knows the expectations and maybe even what type of football he'd like us to play. What he doesn't know is how to coach a team to play with the ball. And it'll cost him his job soon enough.

Not really a surprise given lineup, we’re well and truly a mid-table team now. This season is going to be worst in Premier League history, it’s a weak squad with a very mediocre manager.

I watched the last 20 minutes but I can't imagine the first 70 were much different. We're predictably shit and looking more and more like Liverpool from their midtable phase.

Playing Matic and Mata is just idiotic when you have Greendwood and Gomes on the bench.

Why is anyone surprised?

Shite squad management, unproven manager, absolute lack of quality all over.

A paper thin squad that is only going to get worse as soon as they start downing tools after a few bad results.

Seasons' fecked already, thought it would take a few more games but here we are.

Can't beat a team who will end in the bottom 3, down to 10men for 20mins.
Dreadful.

They did score from their main real chance, but we barely created anything either.

Didn't people say, with ball playing defence, we'd score more?

This is what happens when you employ a manager from Norwegian side, when do we ever learn.

It takes more than "knowing what United is all about" to actually make us "play like what United is all about"

Well, at least Ole should have learnt that putting Lingard on as a sub hasn't worked either. If nothing else performances like this will encourage Ole to give Chong, Gomes and Greenwood a go because ultimately the seniors have yet again disappointed.

One thing we do know about Ole is that he will make hard decisions when it comes to the starting eleven. Wouldn't surprise me if in the next few weeks we start seeing him use our youngsters more as the seniors disappoint.

Oles biggest weakness is his ingame management though. It's really bad. If we do persist with using Ole we should employ someone on the coaching team to help him with it.

We’re done. Manchester United as a competitive force is dead. Was holding out to see what ole could do with a pre season but this is our level. 7th this season. 500 million and 3 seasons away from top 4.

Poor. Its clear that we have overrated a lot of our players. When it comes down to it they're just not good enough. Daniel James is outshining them and he probably would still be playing in the Championship but from a Giggs recommendation.

We had almost nothing in attack. Rashford was pretty anonymous. Lingard when he came on was direct but seemed to want to win the game for himself and just kept shooting when he could pass. Pogba blew hot and cold.

Jose was right about this squad.

5 points from the first 4 games.

I really think we are going to finish lower than 6th. There's a desperate lack of quality in the squad and Ole much as it pains me to say just isn't good enough.

We're a very very average team.

Played well in pockets. Far more enjoyable than Mourinho football. It’s going to take time but it’s coming together

Can anyone give a balanced view of the game without crying their adult eyes out about lingard playing fifteen minutes ?

Sounds from reading thread we had chances and gave up no chances again ? Is it the case that we just don't have a settled and consistent striker and also don't have a strategy for beating a parked bus?

Is Dan James a huge positive ? Amazing how little it seems to have been said today after another lovely goal ?
David James have the potential to be a great player. It’s just need nurtured better

When you don't bother to upgrade your squad, this is what happens.

Our three best players were arguably our 3 new signings. Imagine if we had bothered to sign a central midfielder or a striker.
Or just bothered to play Gomes.

Not bad result considering our squad looks like an average Everton squad at best.

When will the rest on here realize that Rashford is simply not good enough. There is many more but he epitomizes everything that is wrong with us.

Nothing much the manager can do. We don’t have enough quality in the squad to go to Southampton and impose ourselves and I can see a midtable finish for us at the end of the season.

No creativity upfront, very less composure on the ball, little in the way of style, lack of quality backup and a dodgy keeper will be our story.

I've been sayin' it for a couple of weeks now. Since we cannot score more than 1 (2 tops, Chelsea was a mirage) goal, our entire season is built around a solid-reliable defense, made for 1-0 victories. But Lindelof has ruined the plan. It was a thin plan to begin with, but a plan nonetheless.

Be ready for some 1-0 dull victories, tons of 1-1 draws, and quite a few 2-1/1-2 defeats. 5th-6th would be an achievement at this rate. That is, if Ole finishes the season, of course.

Lindelof is a fraud
And people are glad we are getting rid of Smalling. Lindelof won't cut it in the PL. We need someone as commanding as Smalling as well because Lindelof is such a weak link.

We need to give Ole another season at least.

I feel there will be too many calling for his head soon.
