You can tell he is enjoying this.

No matter how incompetent Woodward was, it still does not excuse the wreck that Mourinho made of our season last year.

Oh yeah, every point we drop gets him closer to another pay day.

I apologise to Jose. I was one of the people who said that a new manager could get more out of this squad of players.

I still agree he had to go because the football was horrendous and the board weren’t going to back him but he performed miracles with a midtable (for the most part) group of players.

Did Lindelof have to miss a header just as they talking about him being weak in the air?
What makes it worse is that it looks like they're teaching our CBs how to head a ball, in a warm up for a game :nervous: its stuff you'd see us teaching kids, not our starting CB partnership.

Even though he basically threw last season before it started, told USA united fans not to bother watching us and begged to be sacked?
He was being honest. If i was United manager I would have said the same thing. He basically said "The players we have are shit. With this group we won't accomplish anything". He told the truth.

Quality wise this is the worst United team I have ever seen. Imagine if Mourinho or Ole had peak Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney instead of Lingard, Rashford and Martial. With players that good you don't even need a manager.

He wanted to be sacked becasue he knew we couldn't compete at the top, slightly different.

Ole is is just a less talented manager, with a worse squad, it's no wonder we stink.

Most of which he had bought? Let’s let him go again?

I knew this would be your response, so predictable. It still doesn't change the fact that our players are not very good. Yes or no?

Yeah, he bought some of these players and realized they're just as shit as the rest that we have. And so he told us during pre season.

I don't blame Ole either. It's simply down to the fact, that our players are not as good as they used to be.

So the manager who had been fired by another premier league club for not being very good anymore gets backed to the hilt at our club In his first 2 seasons fails again and you think we should throw more money at it?

Even though we are just seeing he admits he deserved to be fired himself?

I still fecking love him.
Seconded. Craved a manager to come in and pull the pants down on sorry players. Obviously backfired but showing them love isn't going swimmingly either.

He at least shone light on the lack of quality which publically pressures the club to act. Ole saying he has an abundance of quality worries me in the long run. He's either deluded or playing a PR game to keep the club image intact and morale high. If its the latter, it also means the club have passed the buck onto a poor sacrificial goat who stands by the shite players for them.

To be fair, he won the premier league just 12 months before he joined United. It's not like he'd been in the wilderness for 10 years.

Love the guy. Great manager. Sad it didn’t work out for him at United but we probs got him too late.

He’s still a giant upgrade tactically than anything we have atm. Today was shocking.

Yes, I’ve said it before in this thread I can help but admire and really like him. It was time for him to leave when he did, but yea I still think he’s brilliant. I could listen to him talk about football anytime.

You’re a weirdo.

Seriously though why would that make me a weirdo?

Talking after the game today he spoke nothing but the truth in my opinion, and refused to kick the club when we are down despite being pushed to do so.

I’ll say it again. I fecking love him.

Is Ole ultimately likely to be good enough ? Probably not but the Mourinho ship sailed four or five years ago and there’s a new breed of manager that has long overtaken him.

But he is also the guy that spent £400m to bring in some of those players. His recruitment was just awful and is partly responsible for the mess we find ourselves in currently.

I'm better than Messi (even though I'm not)
Jose was far from perfect but we’re onto our 4th manager post SAF, I'm starting to feel there’s a trend here. The players are hot garbage and with the upper management we have I feel we’re done as a top tier club for the foreseeable future

I do feel the same. I feel the drop has been drastic and sudden in some ways. If we don't make the top 4 this year then that will cement our place as a mid table team for sure. I'm afraid that we'll be worse off than Liverpool had been before they got klopp. All until Woodward or the glazers get out.
