Yeah, he's been a main character for all of the seasons. But this season (and the series overall) has just come back after 6 years thanks to Drake.

Thought it from when they went fields and he got punched then when walked off was like "I'm sick of this shit" or something along those lines, he dropped the crackhead act when he said it
Abother bit which gave it away was when they were making themselves seem as if they had been drinking cider gave it away. Athough at the the time I thought they had found a flaggon and were checking if it was p!ss in it

Damn, quality stuff from Drake.

How did he get involved in the first place? I assume he watched the first season's and saw the potential.

Saw the first two seasons years ago on Netflix and now half way through the new season. I don't remember it being this good before. I mean, this is right up there, not just the acting and characterisation and plot but also it's filmed very creatively. It's drawn me right in. If the second half is as good as the first this might be one of the best stand alone series I've ever seen.

Personally I think he's the best actor in the show and think his character has gone through the best development.

I've only seen the new season but I think kano's been great, signs of some genuine acting chops I reckon. Would love to see him in other roles.

Waters on the other hand spends 90% of every episode just staring intently at everyone

Agree with you 100%. Really looking forward to it also
Am looking forward to DuShane's planned expansiom to the rest of London
Still mind blown as to how good it was! No wonder Drake funded for this to return. My predictions for season 4:

- Dris is still alive as Sully choose not to shoot him in the end. Will return and save Sully from a near death situation when no one sees it coming.
- Jamie will try to make amends with his brothers who will not want to forgive him but at the same time, he will have no idea that Stefan & Atts are now both jointly running a successful major gang.
- Atts will have brainwashed Stefan into really turning against his brother Jamie and encouraging him to kill him. Stefan will find out near the end that it was Atts who planted the green bag in the bedroom.
- Jamie’s old gang (YT) will go after Jamie after finding out he is now working with Dushane and has no interest in re-joining them.
- The two undercover junkies will play a much major part in this series as they look to slyly take down Dushane.

What I think may happen season 4
ad this conversation with my mate. You make very interesting predictions.

I also think that Dris is still alive, would be nice to see him save Sully because I liked the character of Dris in the previous seasons and it hurt to see Dris set them up.

I never thought of your second point but I think that could happen as Stefan is going to need a way to maybe the only way he thinks he can do it is to run a gang, this could also fit into Att's being able to give his mum the money she needs. Att's could brainwash Stefan as his big brother is now away he is going to need his best friend even more. If Dushane shows the tape and Jamie gets free does that mean that Att's has to take the wrap for putting the bag there?

I agree on the 4th point but what might be interesting is if Stefan is in a gang will he come into conflict with with Dushane's gang and might Jamie have to choose between showing showing loyalty to the gang or his blood relation. I think that when Jamie comes out of jail Modie will be back in charge and will be going for Jamie.

One bit I found interesting which I am looking forward to seeing is Dushane actually told Sully about Lauryn shouting her mouth off to Leyton and nearly getting him killed. We hear Dushane say he is going to tell Sully in the morning but we never find out if he did tell him. I would have thought if Dushane told Sully that Sully would have killed her now or may kill her in next season or will Sully find out anyway and will this cause conflict between Sully and Dushane?

I also think from the last season that Dushane is starting to feel that he is the leader again and as him and Sully are supposed to be partner's now I think there may be conflict

Some very interesting predictions mate.

- Dris has to be alive. Remember the scene when Sully comes to the house and Dris asks if he can say goodbye to his daughter, Sully gives him a straight no answer. If Sully said yes, then you knew Sully was going to kill him, so he would have allowed him to say a final goodbye to his daughter. He’s a dad too, so knows what Dris would have been going through at that moment. Also when he told Jaq to leave the scene on top of the building, that gave you another clue that he wasn’t going to shoot him. If Jaq seen him not pull the trigger, she would have grassed him to Dushane, telling that Sully allowed Dris to live.
- Yeah, that’s why I think both of them
will be running a gang together due to the above reasons you have given. Jamie knows what happened regarding the greenbag, so will be looking to get his hands on Atts for setting up his brothers but I don’t think it will be that easy. Atts will have something lined up in case the truth comes out. Atts may have a whole gang behind him also Jamie’s former YT gang will not be pleased that he’s probably going to be running with Dushane.
- That’s the question that is on my lips as well. I don’t think Stefan will instantly forgive Jamie as mentioned earlier. Atts knows that if Stefan finds out the truth about the green bag, then Stefan is gonna murder him. Is Modie not dead after being shot by the police or is that another death that could be fake? I hope it’s the latter!
- I totally forgot about the bolded section which is something I really want to see the aftermath!
- Yeah Dushane is definitely starting to feel like he is the leader again that he’s wiped out the whole competition. I don’t think Sully is going to be deep down very pleased that Jamie could be on board. He will probably see it as a threat and I’m expecting a few conflicts between the two.

For feck sake I accidentally watched season 3 first! I never realised there were 2 seasons before “season 1 Topboy”. Very misleading from Netflix ! No wonder I was so confused the 1st episode
Was about to say I have no idea why Netflix did this, it was bugging me for ages.

I was always a massive fan of the first two seasons and finally got round to finishing the new season. It’s really good. I can see why it isn’t for everyone and it’s probably a bit more unbelievable than the first two seasons.

So glad they didn’t feck it up though.

You make some very interesting points.

I never thought about it that way when Sully wouldn't leave Dris say goodbye to his daughter. I thought that Sully was being harsh on Dris just to get it over and done with not to let it get too emotional but now it kinda makes sense that he didn't leave him say goodbye to his daughter because he is going to see her again anyway. It's an interesting view you have on why he sent Jaq away. I originally thought that it was because he wanted to kill Dris on his own due to the respect they used too have for each other but what you said about him sending her away makes sense.

I think Att's and Stefan could maybe end up in Jamie's old gang, if they don't set up their own. Further fuelling Jamie's hostility towards Modie (if hes still leader) and his crew. Att's will know Jamie is coming for him regarding the bag and he knows he'll be safer with the ZT's or whatever they will now be called and if he gets Stefan involved it will be like having collateral against Jamie.

I've been thinking about what you said previously about the junkies/undercover cops having a larger role. I think one of/or both them may get found out to be a cop and end up working for Dushane. I have another idea but I hope this really doesn't happen. That Dushane ends up working for the cops, as he showed when he is willing to go too any length he feels he needs to by setting up Jamie with the police in the last one, if this were to happen during his expansion he'd have plenty of other people to grass up whilst trying to take over their turf.

Your idea on Sully and Jamie is interesting. As Jamie is ambitious and Dushane sees him like a younger version of himself. I think Dushane will take him under his wing and Sully will suss that Jamie is getting to big, leading to conflict. As shown in the last season by the accidental killing of Leyton, Jamie is not scared to punish his own gang and blame it on another crew. So he could be still p!ssed off with Dushane for setting him up and know that it will be easier to get Dushane out of the way with Sully not there, as if he kills Dushane and not Sully Sully's going to be out to do him over. So Jamie may be planning to take Sully out to become second in command and this is where Dris could maybe save Sully's life.

I don’t think Dris is still alive. Remember that towards the end a social worker came to collect his daughter from school.

Maybe that happened as Dris is lying low for a while. How do you know it was a social worker or did I miss something?
Tbf it wasn’t made clear that it was a social worker but when you take into consideration that his baby mother is in prison and he’s clearly not in contact with any of his immediate family, who else could it be?

Surprised to see many speculating about Ats and Stefan. Surely they’re too young to make the moves you guys are suggesting. Surely pawns in the game.

Just finished top boy summerhouse. Looking forward to the new Top Boy now. Great show. It's a bit like the wire or Power without the crap love triangle.

Also the spoiler tag doesn't work for me, I type in a sentence and it's blank. Am I missing something?

You have a fair point. Not sure who it could be if not a social worker. But although we don't see any of his immediate family. Does it state in any of the episodes that he is not in contact with them. Not sure if I missed it?

Nope. Again, I’m just assuming. But even with the others like dushane you’ve seen his mum at least. Anyway, it could be a possibility that he is laying low but then the thing with that is I don’t think he’d leave his daughter...the whole reason he got into it with sully in the first place is because he snaked them because Jermaine promised him a better life for his daughter

Interesting points that you have made. Maybe he is laying low like you said. I don't know then. As it was the last episode maybe we will see the lady who picked Dris's daughter up take her to him in the first episode of the next season. I don't want the character of Dris gone. He was a good soldier at one time and I feel sorry for him. It hurt me to see him snake Sully and Dushane to Jamie. I hope he comes back and somehow redeems himself. Going to be very interesting

Remember watching the first 2 seasons of this a while back, they were decent but the new season is great. Surprised how good Kano’s acting was in the new season, thought he was excellent, and probably the best actor on the show

Absolutely. He’s phenomenal. Looks like he’s being torn apart from the inside. I actually think the acting across the board is incredible. The really young kids, Dris, Leyton, Jaq, even Modie. I actually haven’t seen acting this good in an English drama series in a long time. Kinda acting with their whole bodies not just their faces.

I am on a high having seen that.

It is indeed going to be very interesting. I still think he is alive due to the reasons I’ve given above (scene with Sully at his doorstep regarding being declined not to say a final goodbye to his daughter & Sully telling Jaqs to leave the scene, so their is no witness there to see what happened) Is most likely laying low as you said. I think if Dushane were to find out that Sully didn’t pull the trigger, he will certainly not be a very happy chappy. Also I’m wondering if the cops will begin to look for Dris as I’m sure they will find it strange how someone close to Dushane & Sully all of a sudden went “missing”. Season 4 is going to be very, very interesting and exciting! Looking forward to seeing it when it comes!

Are you talking about Kano the rapper? I’m 43 years old and don’t know anything about that! He’s a brilliant actor though.
Yea that is him, absolute pioneer of grime and UK rap.

Quite a few of the actors in it are originally rappers. Scorcher played Kamale in the first season. Jermaine is played by Bashy and Modie is played by Dave. Dushane is played by Asher D too but he has always done acting and rapping whereas the others all made their name as rappers and crossed into acting later on.

Thanks. Interesting and obviously I didn’t know any of that and am not familiar with any of those artists’ names. I’d forgotten about Jermaine, I thought he was a great actor too, really slimy role very well played, especially when he was doing that speech about being a father and a provider.
