fecking hell Ole. Horrific quotes.

It's looking increasingly likely that good old Ed has got another appointment wrong.

Oh right. Woodward is innocent then.
Never said that. But I am not blind.

Teams with worse personnel perform better than us. They play better football than us. If you think adding better players will improve things under Ole, you are in for a shock.

So you all feel telling his players to "just chillax guys it's only fecking Norwich lulz you can beat these guys with you laces tied together blindfolded even in fact don't even bother getting out of bed Carrick and me will solo them no problem" would be more appropriate?

Sheesh... You guys are hilarious - shaming a manager for taking his opposition serious

I would rather he actually coaches the players rather than talking shite in conferences. However it seems it's too much to expect from Manchester United manager nowadays.

Is our new winning trophy high, the high when a shite manager gets sacked? Sort of feels like thats the best its going to get for us in the near distant future.

So Gomes and Greenwood were fit for Partizan as they are playing today for the u23 but the manager prefers to use Lingard and Mata, shit players with no future here, instead of giving talented youngsters the experience. Awful management. Ethan Laird got nothing too. "Building for the future, "the United way".

I actually take it that fans move their energy in wrong direction. We have already had 4 managers which faced huge problems to make the club successful again and bring it to the top level on a constant basis. What's the point of criticizing Ole if his successor will face the same problems and we will start from the same point? Glazers and Woodward make the club average, put it down to the relegation zone and always put the blame on managers whom they don't properly cooperate with and interrupt to their works. As I see it fans can only hope whether the sheikhs will buy the club from Glazers or GlazersOut Movement will strengthen and expel "the invaders". I think joining the movement is the best what we can do now.

Ok. The prissy fan bois that didn't like their favorites being thrown under the bus, please stand up and take a bow. Mission accomplished. Instead of rooting out the weak, we've a manager that's now lowered our expectations as low as I can ever remember.

Manchester United culture, eh?

Bollocking about fluently.

I don't care if you waste your time - it's yours to waste. Mine's never wasted I do what I please - and it's very pleasing pointing out exactly how moronic you all sound and even more so observing how butthurt this makes you ;)

He has to do press conferences and he has to say something. Seems a weird thing to try and arrest him on week in and week out - every manager does the same.

Yeah, I can see why people are pissed off but I don't think the quotes are that bad in fairness. This is our reality now, we're not very good.
Suggesting that we will need to be at our best to stand a chance against the weakest team in the league?

That's pretty much the worst comment he could have made given the circumstances. It's on par if not worse than Moyes' "we aspire to be like City" comment. Moyes was sacked a couple of days later.

It's just another way of not taking the opponent lightly, which is the right attitude. I agree with the sentiment of the quote, but not the actual wording if that makes sense. I don't think Norwich are the weakest team in the league either.

People keep saying Ole is lowering expectations/dropping standards.

Well I have to disagree. He's completely removed and destroyed all and any standards and expectations.

The main focus and objective is to ensure Ole holds on to his position and the club and its fans have a responsibility to bear with him while he and his mates on the coaching team learn the job.

The only standard and expected requirements for our club now is to simply turn up and take part and be happy we gave a go at it.

Ole s fans along with the manager and Ed Woodward have already written off this season and the next.

Neville said he needs at least 6 transfer Windows before he can be judged.

So we pay a manager 7 million a year just to take part in the ride called football.

No wonder he's sitting laid back on the bench legs stretched out and smiling smugly whether we win, lose or draw.

Teams like mighty Norwich which Ole now hopes we can stop. The same team he called brave and play their style of football regardless of the opponent. If only we can spend 500 Mill to be like them! Ole has turned into a complete joke of a manager.

100% this crusade to act like we're "not a sacking club" actually hurts the club. The media narrative around United managers performance is completely different to any other club.

There's a famous phrase - more money is lost through indecision than the wrong decision. That is something our board should bear in mind, bad decisions happen to everyond the key is acting decisively to address it. We're bobbing along in mediocrity at the moment and it should be unacceptable for a club of our stature and aspirations.
Totally agree.

We should be quick and decisive. Half the time we do things because it looks or feels good.

We were topping the possession stats with LVG but getting no where. What did Liverpool do with their 68%?
The poster you replied to also conveniently forgot to mention that Manchester United are third in overall possession this season. And dead last in expected goals v scored goals.

I should not get dragged into this mire of so called 'supporters' posting here,

Some of the stuff that is being spouted is complete ollocks, and the manner of supporting their arguments is even more ollocks.

Really, you are comparing a person who has been involved in top level management for a few decades to someone who has just stepped into this malarky in the last few years, really ???

I am guessing that the majority of the whiners on this board have never played football competitively, have never been part of any team sport and whose only experience with such things is through some digital medium aka 'Championship Manager'.

The complete lack of understanding in what goes into a team sport, which is clearly obvious, because only such people could have expectations that a team that is made up of misfits, kids and continuous injuries to the more established members of the squad is supposedly meant to be playing as a world class team in the space of a few months.

Football and team sports in general do not work this way!

To make matters worse, we have pundits who have played the game and should know better, but they need to play to the cameras, instead of telling it how it is.

You cannot build a team if every few years you are chopping and changing.

You cannot build a team if you cant choose the same/similar personal for a extended period of time.

Football is a game of many skills and details, but a good team without confidence is an average team and visa versus an average team with confidence can become a great team.

All the negative crap coming out of the majority of people posting in threads such as this tells me a few things,

1/ You must lead miserable lives if the only things you can spout are negative things about a team you 'support'
2/ Because of the miserable lives you are living, you are using Manchester United as your scape goat.
3/ All this negative energy you are directing at our team does not just vanish, meaning you are also responsible for the lack of confidence that is prevalent at our club.

Sorry, but I had enough of all you whiners with your misdirected agendas, find something better to do, its ok having an opinion, but you are all living in dream/cookoo land with your false expectations.
Impossible to respect this tangent or even reply to it. Funnily enough more and more the Ole in posts lack any coherency, make no logical points, are very emotionally driven, and resort to just petty attacks on people.

Spot on

Ole knows "the United way" that his master wants portrayed. This new "United way" is simply taking part in the Premier League, giving some minutes to young players and admitting we'll be fortunate to finish the top 6.

Someone needs explain this "United Way" to me because when Ferguson took over, even in his worst days, this would never be considered the benchmark

Ed Woodward deserves an award.

Said in a different thread mate. The guy has my admiration. I hate him. But I've gone beyond anger into bitter admiration because he is so fecking masterful at what he's done. Doing this to Everton fans would be admirable. Doing it to United fans is a level of spin and manipulation never seen before among sports fans.

It is an absolute masterclass and I have to have some kind of admiration for that.

Well done you absolute cnut. Well done.

I know there are a lot of pedantic fans here that react to every little thing, but has anyone thought hes actually trying to bait them by talking them up. The ideal game for United would be for Norwich to attack, rather than sit back, which we are clueless against

At face value, that's a fecking terrible quote.

If he's employing gamesmanship, then how desperate is it that we're doing that against a promoted team that sits second from bottom?

Either way it's bad.

January 1st 2020.
Poch joins United in a shock January move. Bringing with him Kane, Son, Eriksen
POCH: "Get in the f*ckin' van, you three!"
ALL: "Please, gaffer, we don't want to go to United!"
POCH: "Nor do I - that's why me and Glaston are driving us to India."

You’ll think he be talking about playing prime Barcelona in the nou camp feck me, this is ridiculous. Needs to go right away, if he’s saying those things to the press I can’t imagine what’s the message behind doors.

A loser mentality, so much for “he knows the club” and all that shit.
Yeah, I'm starting to feel the same way. Keane gets the club; Evra gets the club; Ferdinand gets the club. Our predicament as a club as a whole hasn't been kind to Ole but I can't wait to see him go nonetheless.

You really think Ole believes the Norwich manager would abandon his tactics they've spent the week training because of a media interview. Sounds far fetched

Norwich are bottom of the league and flooding goals. I believe any manager will do whatever they can to get points. Adopting a more defensive setup against a team that are clueless in breaking down teams that sit deep is very logical.
