@Slik;
Hope you’re right but I still remember relegation from the old div 1, back in the 70s.

I’m not defending Ole, I’m just stating the situation as I see it. The writing is on the wall amongst the fans, NOT the club. We knew since September that Jose was toast, the club and Jose were sniping each other in the media for months, it was only a matter of time. Everyone knew it. Contrast to Ole, it’s nothing like that. Nobody at the club will be happy with the results, but you don’t get the impression he’s anywhere near the door. It really feels like he’s going to get a lot more time, unless we go and lose the next four games or whatever and end up in the relegation zone. The writings on the wall for Ole as well.
Just because his mates in the media are defending his "plan" doesn't mean he shouldn't be scrutinised like our previous managers post Fergie.
Your comment screams of blind optimism. That's fine but nothing suggests we will see any improvement. We've gone backwards over the past 10 months.
Who are the people that are under the belief this is are moving in the right direction? Gary Neville and 47% of supporters on here?
Apologies. I thought you were saying no one was calling for his head.I’m not defending Ole, I’m just stating the situation as I see it. The writing is on the wall amongst the fans, NOT the club. 3 or 4?There are already 3 or 4 threads at least. Why not stick to them? It s useless.
Said this when he was hired. He's not getting sacked anytime soonIt's not a cheap gamble. They'll find it really hard to sack him if he struggles big time because of the fan response and bad PR it would generate.
Our fans over the last few years have shown they'll do anything to absolve the manager of the blame. Whether that's Moyes, LVG or even a thundercnut like Mourinho. Now imagine that but with the whole club legend factor.
Always happens when a club legend is hired. Liverpool held onto Dalglish the second time longer than they should and it set them back even further.Said this when he was hired. He's not getting sacked anytime soon
You do know Norwich play an open attacking game. I expect us to bag 3 points with a 0-1 tomorrow.Pressure will be on when we don’t get the win tomorrow. Can also guarantee that will happen.
That's so so embarrassing: we have a chance tomorrow because newly promoted side plays good football, so when we sit back and defend like , ironically, a newly promoted side, we can counter and maybe score more than one goal. You do know Norwich play an open attacking game. Putting things into context. In May people said “give him one window and then judge him” now those very people, after he fecked up that window, are saying “give him 3-6 windows and then judge him”Putting things into context, I only see the team progressing up the table and not down. This threat of relegation is greatly exaggerated. No matter how bad it goes they will win enough to stay in the mid table places. But this is United and we are supposed to be in the top 4 places. Which will be a difficult job considering the depleted squad which already lacked enough quality. But as I said, I only see the team going up with injured players starting to come back and unless we have another string of bad lucks where so many players get injured again. We will be in and around the top 6 places by December. Ole isn’t going anywhere now, he has a project, some may not see it now, but even his signings have all proved to be good and that’s one very huge change compared to our previous managers. If we have more signings from him and in keeping with his so far 100% record with signings, I feel there is something good ahead.
You know what I keep on reading this over and over again.. Its not like his tremendous scouting abilities bought a rare gem right back from the Norwegian league that no one knew about, or he discovered an amazing center back from Italy or something. He broke the world record for Harry maguire that everybody including my dog knew about and AWB who was the most talked about right back in England last year. Both players from the premier league. How wrong could they go? James is on Giggs. If anything Oles transfer policy is shite, because he blew all his transfer money on defenders, didnt add a midfielder yet let 2 midfielders and a striker go without replacing themPutting things into context, I only see the team progressing up the table and not down. He said similar things on Van Gaal one week before he sacked himEd has publicly backed Ole and said the club is going in the right direction so he would lose all credibility if he went against that.
If transfers sounds so simple how have we spent 900m last few years and still have a shit squad? You know what I keep on reading this over and over again.. That was after nearly two seasons in which LVG spent a fortune on players which did not work out and sold Zaha, Evans and Chica to mention a few and he brought in Rojo,Depay,Di Maria Schneiderlin and Bastien which are all I can think of at the moment who were all disasters. He said similar things on Van Gaal one week before he sacked him
How is that in any way relevant to the response he made? What did he say that was wrong? If transfers sounds so simple how have we spent 900m last few years and still have a shit squad?
Shows how far we have fallen, when we're hoping for newly-promoted Norwich to attack us so we can turtle them and nick a jammy 1-0.That's so so embarrassing: we have a chance tomorrow because newly promoted side plays good football, so when we sit back and defend like , ironically, a newly promoted side, we can counter and maybe score more than one goal.
Doesn't matter really. We just need to avoid relegation this season. We could be up to 7th with a win that's if Spurs and Wolves don't win. But even if we are we'll still be closer to the bottom 3 than the top 4.
Crikey, this is Man Utd and all we are hoping for is to avoid relegation.Doesn't matter really. We just need to avoid relegation this season.
Forget top 6Already happening mate... seriously.
Any other top 6 club and he'd be gone already!
No shit sherlock. We're 15th... so yeah. Any way to go is upPutting things into context, I only see the team progressing up the table and not down. This threat of relegation is greatly exaggerated. Exactly! This is what we have fallen to.Crikey, this is Man Utd and all we are hoping for is to avoid relegation.
Putting things into context, most people doubting Ole and the current situation don't only cry about the table's position either. It's about the lack of gameplay, coaching and approach to games...that we are seeing. People didn't lose their mind after we failed to win against Wolverhampton and Arsenal (Two teams who have been underwhelming this season, to be honest) because we dominated the game. It's when we got outplayed against the likes of West Ham or Newcastle that people truly questioned Ole's capability as the manager.Putting things into context, I only see the team progressing up the table and not down. Thanks for sparing us.Think i'll leave it till the Solskjær sack watch | 2021/22 edition thread to comment if that's okay.
Us.Thanks for sparing us.
Nice one mate, much appreciated.Think i'll leave it till the Solskjær sack watch | 2021/22 edition thread to comment if that's okay.
Don't be daft, it's the least I could do.Nice one mate, much appreciated.
Good stuff.Don't be daft, it's the least I could do.
What we actually need is changing manager every 3 months. It seems like the players only respond well in those time frame. He won't be sacked this season unless we're in an actual relegation battle. Right now it's too comfortable for the club to go with the 'he needs time, we're going to be patient' crap.
That's the narrative right now and if they let it and him go, they have nothing, as I don't think they have a clue what to do after Solskjaer.
Haha! What a surpise you'd say something like that.
I'm struggling to accept a reality in which he's not sacked after Norwich should he lose tomorrow.
I know that he probably won't be though, because it's too logical.
Are you just googling the results?
I simply don't understand you people, do you think we have a squad of world class players or something? Why can't you understand that Solskjaer has only just started a desperately needed squad rebuild (after 6 years of directionless mismanagement) and will probably need 4/5 transfer windows before it is complete. How far have we fallen?
Nearly beating a team? Jesus how pathetic.
I know Ole is a legend but this constant dropping of standards by some is ludicrous.
