I fecking knew it, 5 chances we had to put this game to bed.

Are they so thick? It's Martial and Rashford who score goals, not Pererea and Fred. Get the ball to the players who have the skills!
Bournemouth is aware of that as well, hence why Martial and Rashford are awarded less space while Pereira in particular gets a ton. Imagine Pogba replacing Pereira right now, it’d be such a day and night difference. Either way, we need somebody else in the Pereira position, somebody whose final ball is better and who is a bit more of a goal threat.

My biggest disappointment for the goal was Lindelof trying to close off a lay off rather than play the forward and close him down.

Shit defending for the goal. Granted it was well done by King, but that was still to easy. Looked on the replay for the goal, what the hell is Lindelof doing?

Midfield needs to get their shit together. We constantly give the ball away because they are either hiding or fecking about to much on the ball.

I missed the first 10 mins, but I think James should do better when positioning himself to start a run, he’s fast, but he can’t run through players. Saw three opportunities where ok passes were played, and he hadn’t anticipated them at all.

Lindelöf and AWB can share the blame for the goal, along with honorable mentions for whoever didn’t feel like pressing the crosser. Just awful defending all around. Where’s the aggression from our last couple of games? Hopefully we find our feet in the second half.

Bournemouth have done a great job with overlapping players and pulling out players out of position.

Maguire & AWB somehow switched players they were defending in the build up to that goal - it wasn’t man-marking and it clearly wasn’t zonal marking either, it was just general confusion. If King was on Maguire I don’t believe we concede a goal, because of Maguire’s physicality.

The ball should’ve never been crossed in the first place however

All he had to do was stay behind him. There's nothing he can do with his back to the goal. Flick or turn AWB would be there. It's awful defending.
I agree with the general point, I disagreed with the notion that he should've seen the over-the-head flick 7 yards from goal coming.

That's a recurring theme isn't it? Control play, don't take chances, defend poorly, concede. Happens over and over again.
Our front 3 is very young (23, 22 and 21) and still gelling. Things don’t quite click, in 3-4 years time if Rashford, Martial and James keep playing together I think they’ll be much more clinical. You look at Liverpools front 3 and their ages, the time spent playing together, it needs time to develop

We can't beat a 442 when we've got a totally free player at number 10.

That player being Pereira takes away any advantage we should have had.

that's what you get when you team has no top-class creativity in midfield and no cutting edge up front. said it time and time again and the club lives in a dream world where they think doing the same thing again and again will bring a different result. as for their goal, saw it coming from about the second commentator said there was one minute of injury time. can we come back - not if we don't have shots at goal... which we usually don't

Truly the worst no.10 I've ever seen to play for this club, and apparently he's a regular starter this season
He seemed like a talent at some point, but absolutely gone to shit hasn't he? Waste of space out there at the moment, hope Ole wakes up and sees this soon as it's costing us. Even Mata would be better right now.

Bournemouth heading for their 4th clean sheet on the bounce. FOURTH!!!!

We look like giving goals away every single game.

I stopped watching the last 3 minutes, came back to check and we are down. Not surprised at all.

Why does Lindeloff shy away every time? I’d never thought I’d say this, but maybe the partnership should be Maguire - Rojo.

It's worrying, I don't know how we're going to score the 2 or 3 goals we need. Our play has been crap

It would've been a fair penalty though, not like it came out of the blue. It changes the dynamic of the game.

If that was Mane and Liverpool, I can guarantee that would be a pen all day every day.
I agree, If that was Mane that would be a red card too. It does changes the dynamic of a game, I just hate how much it matters to get a penalty against Bouremouth because we can't create.

Thought we started well, and were the better side for the majority of the 1st half. We looked the most likely to score. Total brainfart at the back. We gave King all the time he needed to flick the ball over his own head. How can that happen in your own penalty area?

Midfield hasn't been good enough on the ball, we need a bit if composure and we should be able to turn this around. The defending for the goal was diabolical though, AWB can't be bullied like that and Lindelöf shouldn't have left his position. Both deserve a slap!
45 mins left, we need to be more from our midfield, it's far from over.

We dont have enough good players to comeback stronger. Sure in one off games we're alright but consistently with this bunch ? relying on a miracle.
