Hes keeping it positive. No doubt that the performance will be analysed behind closed doors.

The club know where this team are. We aren't ready yet. One game doesn't change anything. I'm glad he isn't being reactive and throwing the team under the bus. What good would that do?
Some people just want us to die. We will analyze this game and learn more about each of our players and what needed to be done. I believe in us, but let's go get some midfielders who can help us move one step further.

By the way, at those saying Sheffield are better coached than us, Wilder has been at the job since 2016 and they have a squad of more mature and experienced players.
Of course they would look better coached than us!

I'm sure the neutral and even some United fans will say Sheffield deserved a draw but I don't care, I'm still pissed off.

Yes, we were horrendous for 75 minutes but those 3 goals were dynamite and it would have been a huge 3 points for our season, not just for league position but a comeback win like that would have been a confidence booster for the players.

There is no spoon.
  • Sheffield United played their hearts out of 65 mins, ran out of energy and let us in
  • We were largely shit in part due to a poor formation as a result of injury to McT and just terrible players in the middle of the pitch and lack of effort upfront
  • It wasnt a foul on Jones
  • It wasnt a handball for their 3rd

As entertaining as it was, we are simply not good enough. They dominated us until the sub when they sat back, we’ve done well to get a point but we’re such a passive team these days.

. Jesus just how low have we sunk that you can defend that bollocks.

We have the worst manager in the league that's why we are where we are. Ole is a joke
It's not bollocks, it's football. No team can dominate for 90mm unless you're the Brazil from Pele in the 70s. But if we strike hard and sharp, the other teams will start to notice.

Anyone who thinks that there aren't a large number of posters here who clearly want Ole, and by extension the team, to fail are deluding themselves

Thought Kleberson was poor again today but did well to set up the goal for Yakubu. Generally a pretty good performance to get the win after going 4 behind.

Absolute pile of shit. 10-15mins we turned up for, today. Sheff United will be seething with themselves for allowing us back into the game when they were 2-0 up, theyre going to feel robbed today. They completely played us off the park for 70mins or so, unforgiveable performance from us today, from the manager down to every single player on the field. Shocking state of affairs at this football club. Happy for the youngsters scoring, that's about it

Ole plays the formation I've been dying to see at around the 70 minute mark and we score 2 quick goals. More 4-4-2 please. That four of Greenwood, Martial, Rashford and James is a deadly combination

----------------------------------De Gea-----------------------------------
AWB-------------Maguire----------Tuanzebe----------Shaw
Greenwood----McTominay---Fred--------------James
------------------Rashford-----------Martial-----------------------

Of course, this is assuming everyone is healthy...

Who wants him to fail? Can you show some examples of this?
There’s one two posts down from me from Pennywise.

Rather than support a club legend, everyone jumping down his throat every bad game.

he’s cleared out all the shite everyone was crying for last season.

Valencia, Fellaini, Herrera, Sanchez, Smalling, Lukaku, all bar one got slated for the last few season.

he’s sticking to the ethics this club was founded on - but it’s ok because Dave on the caf can’t handle that we don’t win a trophy every season so we will call him out.

match going fans are a credit to the club, get behind the players and the manager, perhaps the Caf should do the same.

remeber being 4-0 down to MK dons in the league cup under LVG. Proper fans turned up that day, that’s how you support a club, not stick the knife in the very chance

Poor realy poor for 70mins, and realy good for 20mins, then , poor again for 5mins. Sums up this side, Martial I thought had taken a sleeping tablet, Phil Jones my word what can you say, he has to be shipped out in Jan . Sent Smalling on loan !! WTF.

But to get I front then let it slip is just how this side is going, positives are it was a decent draw against a side who hasn't for a few seasons let a 2 goal lead slip, Brammel Lane tough place.
I just wonder if it was another side VAR chalks that goal off!

Positives

Ole having the sense to sub Jones at half time and change formation
First premier league goals for two academy Lads
Another goal for Rashford
A point away at an in form team with a non existent midfield
3 goals on the road from open play

Negatives

3 at the back wasn’t a terrible idea but including Jones in that three was suicidal - he’s barely played this season let alone on the left of a three
Fred and Pereira are the worst midfield in the league
Movement was piss poor most of the game
Utter shit in the first half - probably the worst we’ve been all season

Overall still fairly concerning (even if we’d won) but if we can find some midfielders and gain some consistency there’s a decent team in there somewhere

It will only get worse now that Poch is out of a job. Anyone wanting the team to lose so that the manager can be sacked is not a fan of this football club and get feck off.

When nothing works, 4/4/2 is indeed an easy way of playing football. Just work naturally.

That first half isn't acceptable, lucky to get something out of this. I have had enough Ole Out.

The same match going fans gave Moyes a standing ovation when he was ruining our club. Blind support doesn't actually achieve anything. We could learn a lot from other top clubs.

Some perspective, we played at Bramall lane for the first time in years against a side and manager that has been praised so far this season as being hard to score against. We scored 3 against them and had them flapping after they were cruising 2-0 and we ended up with a draw while playing with almost no coherent midfield.

We did alright, its just a shame about their equaliser.

With who was available today I completely understand why Ole started with that formation. And had he not recognized that it wasn't working then I'd be upset with him. But he made the halftime changes and switched the formation to our benefit. My only complaint is that he should have subbed both Jones and Perriera at half time instead of just Jones...

We are too soft as a team. Too many times we lose the physical battle. It is understandable with the youngsters but the team is packed full of relatively weak players.

For 65 mins most of our team simply didn't seem interested. Jones was committed yet ultimately a disaster. Brandon Williams was awful until he scored with a stunning strike. Rashford and Dan James looked like they'd used up all their energy playing internationals then came alive in the last 25 mins.

Lingard looked better than Pereira in central midfield, without actually playing that well.

Good to see Greenwood score his first PL goal. Super cross from Rashford and Mason was in the right zone to score.

Positives:

- The kids. Greenwood will be some player in a couple of years!
- Spirit, determination and getting 3 good goals in 10 minutes time.
- Ole reacted well to the 1st half horror show. Good change of formation and putting Lingard in for Jones.

Negatives:

- Pereira should never play central midfield for us ever again.
- Jones is a liability. He has his moments, but far too error and injury prone to keep at the club.
- The way we let a technically inferior, yet brilliantly organized Sheffield United team bully us on the ball for the first 60 minutes or so.

To do list:

- Get at least one quality CM in the january market, maybe even two. This is by far our weakest area. Behind Pogba and McTominay, we have very little to offer (even though Fred is showing a few signs of improvement).
- Keep giving young players like Greenwood and Williams minutes, but match them carefully.
- Set the team up more attacking away from home. It's pretty obvious that our strength lies in attack when all the strikers/wingers are fit.

They're a newly promoted team whose total wages probably cost less than Rashford and De Gea combined.

The post I see from Pennywise is saying Ole is doing a bad job. That’s not hoping for him to fail.

To be perfectly frank you’re making nonsense straw man arguments here. Nobody is calling Ole out “because we’re not winning trophies every year”, it’s because the football is dreadful and the team are a clueless mess.

This exchange started with you talking about “hundreds wanting him to fail” and when asked for examples of these hundreds of people you cite one post that doesn’t actually show somebody wanting him to fail.

Saying Ole is doing a bad job and isn’t the man to lead United forward is not the same thing as hoping we lose.

Lingard could have buried the game with his shot on the edge of the box. It ended up in a very disappointing shot.
So Ole starts with a terribly disorganized team, we were outplayed. Rectifies his mistake at half time, we get back in the game, deservedly and end the game with making a defensive substituted in Tuanzebe. Martial was visibly displeased and rightly so because Sheffield was there for the taking. Bad day at the office for Ole.

Not sure which was more worrying, the fact he played 3 at the back, or the fact that in the interview he didn’t seem to get that playing 3 at the back was the reason why we played so bad. The Tuanzebe sub coulda gone either way. But the fact is they could barely get out of their box when we were attacking. Yes we were somewhat open but they were shot. Totally rattled. And us switching to defense just invited them on us, gave them a lift and also shot us in the foot because we all know how bad we are at defending a lead. It just seemed like a dumb thing to do, to ruin all of your team’s impetus and give it to the opposition. Yeah, sure he’d have been deemed naive had he continued to attack and shipped an equalizer. But I’d rather see us concede that way.

We’re Manchester United for Christ’s sake! We should have the best coaches in the world.

The excuses for Ole are getting more and more ridiculous. He’s been in the job nearly a year now, the excuses need to stop!
