Let's not go overboard on the 4-0, we took most of our chances, AZ missed the couple of opportunities that they had. We looked disjointed first half, understandably so, Matic was ponderous, Tuanzebe looked rusty, Garner a bit nervous. Second half when we started to press more and play in their half it was much better, even so, AZ got themselves into several very good positions in our box. Matic certainly improved as the game went on, Mata was buzzing around trying to create things, and with Pereira they managed a few openings. Chong looked better when he came on, than he has previously, as did Jones, and Laird is really good. I think it shows that players like Jones, Matic, Mata, Pereira are more comfortable in a less hectic much slower pace of a game, rather than the hustle bustle of a Premiership match. I hope we stay in the Europa League until the end, that should give many of these players a chance (wouldn't be surprised to see Matic move in January).
