Or you can accept that you've had piss easy draws and be grateful that you have instead of getting embroiled in spurious arguments as to why those teams are there.

It really has nothing to do with it. It's the luck of the draw and you've had a good share of it. Move on
Try reading my post again because that bit I've bolded from your post is exactly the point I'm trying to make. We had a run of shit draws between 2015 and 2017, now we're having a run of good draws. That good run will end soon and the cycle will continue. I'm only in this thread because I'm responding to complaints that were already made, and within a few posts I've had conspiracy theories presented that Sheikh Mansour is paying off Carabao to make sure we get easy draws.

Not gonna dispute that we're owned by horrendous crooks who know how to exploit financial loopholes to get ahead, but I don't think they'd be so petty as to warm the balls up. Their criminal activity is reserved for the big stuff, the over-arching financial and international pedigree stuff. By accusing us of fixing draws you're sounding like the people on Bluemoon who accuse UEFA of working against City and rigging it so that United/Liverpool, etc. get favourable treatment.
There's an element of truth in the UEFA thing because the established big clubs have significant lobbying power to try and maintain their own position. That said, it's generally the Spanish big two and La Liga that are putting the pressure on UEFA.

Ideal draw. Play youngsters, if we lose who gives a shit. I don't see us beating the Scum or City anyway, so the semis would be as far as we get most likely. Play a completely 2nd string side with mainly kids.

Great draw, can give some more minutes to Greenwood and Gomes

More of a bewilderment that they keep avoiding remotely hard opposition. But you're right, we should feel pretty good about having some draw luck for once.
They certainly won't get away with it in the semis, as most likely it'll be us, Leicester and Liverpool/Villa.

We were a few minutes away from beating them just a couple of games ago.

Liverpool City Everton and United all kept apart who would have thought. Mind you Leicester will likely beat them, but it’s no coincidence the derby teams were kept apart.

Good draw that. Let's not underestimate them like Spurs did.
We should play the kids. Our kids have been beating League 1 competition 3 out of 3 attempts. We should still have some seniors, but the majority should be the kids. If you can't trust them in this, why even play them at all? I want to see Greenwood, Garner, Gomes, Laird, Williams, and Chong get serious playing time along with Tuanzebe.

Bold to progress imo, think Leicester would want to concentrate on the league. And then the hot and cold balls will draw United and City in the semis.

Not many things more 100% certain in the world of football.

If Villa can't beat whatever under 12 side we put out tonight they should be automatically relegated.

We should probably support you lot ;). Villa will be harder for us than you guys in the semi given our record against bottom PL teams.

Can't wait to see our line up tonight.
Same here, excellent chance for our youngsters to shine and for our fans to see which prospects might be useful for our first XI.

None. It’s all under 23’s left.
Crazy to just ignore the tournament like that. Although it is silly of FA to not move the game or have a plan for this.

Hopefully we United supporters can enjoy a Liverpool defeat tonight. They are so rare these days so we should take them even if it is with the kids.

its literally a mickey mouse cup for teams that are in the mix for the big title and similar to what United had to do with the FA Cup in 2000.

Total role reversal - 15 years ago it was all Liverpool could win while United were winning leagues and CLs.
I have no problem admitting the absolute mockery I made of that cup to my LFC supporting mates at the time.

I am more in the mindset that I want to win everything. Although Klopp might be thinking like you.
Mourinho and Pep normally really goes for the cups strongly, but most other managers don't seem to care about it that much. Half the teams don't think they can win it so they don't care.
Others lack depth and just ignore it like cowards because they will get too many games.

Is Klopp skipping this game as well as his first team?
He's already in Qatar with the rest of them, they've been training there yesterday and today. Has said they'll watch it together on the telly.

Neil Critchley, our U23-coach, will manage the team tonight.

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, the boss said: "It's good. Tomorrow night we start with watching the other semi-final live in the stadium, I think it should be possible. And then we will leave there a bit earlier and sit here in front of the television and watch that game.

"It will be absolutely exciting. I'm really delighted for the boys.

"I know how a lot of people in the public see it, but if all the football games would be decided before we start, only because of the perception of the people, then most of the games wouldn't be played. I believe, I'm a big believer in everybody has a chance.

"From the boys' point of view, if I would be in their boots I would be excited like hell, looking forward to it like hell, run for my life, all that stuff.

"Of course we took two players away because of our own situation, we needed to have at least 16 players. So Neco and Curtis, two important players for that team, are now here with us, that was not to change it. But apart from that, just give it a proper try and we will sit and will be with them."

Klopp continued: "All our thoughts are with them, the more experienced players are looking forward to it to watch the game and shout them forward from here.

"Whatever we can do we will do, but Critch and his staff and the boys, I'm sure they're really looking forward to it and will enjoy it.

"You can only enjoy football if you work hard and go for the result – whichever result it will be. Aston Villa is the big favourite, that's clear, but who cares? It's football and the ball rolls in each direction, that's pretty cool."

I only know half of that squad. Excited for the boys but it would be a miracle if we get anything from the game.

Big teams actually do take winning trophies seriously. Look at the previous winners of this competition. City , City, United, City, Chelsea, City. Big dominant teams try to win everything and not make an excuse.
