People on here are too focused on his Monaco days. This was a team in complete turmoil, flirting with relegation, firing their coach, then rehiring him after a failed vanity project with Henry.
His stats last year with Leicester were more his actual level, a goal/assist every other game is what you can expect from him. And he's regaining that consistency again this year.
In his last year at Anderlecht, he had 13 goals and 12 assists in 37 games, as a 19 year old, by the way. It's not the greatest league, obviously, but those are impressive numbers none the less.
I don't know if he would have solved our problems, but I share the frustration of many on here that we seem to miss out on so many young talents because of mismanagement (or is it stubbornness?)
