Doom-monger obsessed with Herrera & the M.E.N.
He might, but I expect Haaland would want to be playing instead of Martial.Yeah lucky enough for us Martial is never going to have a bad patch or get injured ever again.

It does seem unlikely. The only possible reason would be because they rate him so highly as a footballer that they think he could take them that next step to wining the title.
And they laughed all the way to the bank.He whinged his way to Barcelona didn't he?
Depends if they set the clause or Raiola has already set it low. If the former then yes set it sky high and wait for the money to pour in.And they laughed all the way to the bank.
I can see the same scenario with Haaland
Fed up of that guy complaining that ole can do no right and Poch can do no wrongErr?
How we lost out to him with a Norwegian manager is quite impressive.
And the fact that his dad has been so vocal and involved in his career, you just knew it'd be another circus. Imagine if we hit a patch of poor form and he isn't scoring, his dad will push for a move right quick. But sources also told ESPN that United's interest in the player cooled when it became clear that any deal would involve a share of potential future sale profits between Haaland's father, Alfie, and advisor Mino Raiola. United would also not accept a demand for Haaland to be given a buyout clause for him to move to the club.
As dissappointed I am, players in Manchester United do not have a buyout clause. My hatred for Mino Raiolas advisement have reached peak levels.
I don't think they're strong enough precedent, tbh. I wouldn't call Hanke really tall when compared to Balotelli & especially Haaland. Also, as I remember it, he played a very mobile & flexible forward role under Favre, which I think is something of a basic requirement. He was at least as much a supporting player as a goalscorer (8 goals in his very good 11/12 season, Reus did the heavy lifting in that department).
De Camargo was okay-ish (and a decent overall footballer), but he only scored 13 goals (9 in BL) in more than two seasons under Favre. Not a blueprint for Haaland either, imo. I'd still say Balotelli is the only successful precedent of a CF similar to Haaland's build over a longer time. We'll see what happens.
Your assessment of the Favre situation is very plausible. I hope he and the team still manage a turnaround in consistency, but it's less than certain.
No its not. Dybala is an established big name player not an up and coming 18 year old. Its an indication that even his ex players are not confident in him.Spurs losing out on Dybala with an Argentine manager was even more impressive.
He must be really sad with that 15 million. He is probably one of the smartest person in football at the moment. The really sad bastard in all this is that slob Raiola
Sorry we didn't sign Haaland, but ecstatic we finally told the greasy, fat twat to feck off.
50m... He might even move in the summer againSo a 50M release clause plus a share of sell on fees to his father and Raiola. No wonder united walked away.
Dortmund are the right kind of club for those stepping stone deals.
50m... He might even move in the summer again
A bit of a shame we did not get him. I hope it is not just because Rashford, Martial and Greenwood have scored a few in the last games and Ole and the Board decided we do not need another striker as this can mean feck all and we will cry out once they are on a bad run again.
Think that is it and that is how it should be.Or when one gets injured.
I’m more inclined to believe we won’t accept release clauses and the like.
Yeah get that but forward positions aren't pressing as midfield for instance so no purpose to cry about it.In fairness to @hobbers if the choice was Dortmund & ourselves him choosing Dortmund is turning United down.
Either way, with his limited public admiration OgS hasn’t got his man.
That's really interesting.
There was a journalist on Talksport from Norway a few weeks ago. They asked him about Haaland and about Man. United and all the other interested clubs and he randomly said he could see him signing for Dortmund in this window so guess he was ITK.
Great pick up for them. They lack that through the middle striker they have confidence to start in given Paco Alacaer is more an impact sub so hopefully that will give them the push needed to compete for the title.
It is a bit and the second line is cheap too. Cheers. It's not cheap, and I'm not happy about it.
First in what will probably be a long line of players who will choose to go somewhere else because they don't care for the idea of being part of Ole's project.
If that really is true then it is madness. He might score goals, but their defence is not great.Really happy we didn’t sign him with a release clause at 50 million
I expect Haaland would want to be playing instead of Alcacer as well but it won't be easy to drop him either. 26 goals in 47 appearances isn't too shoddy. I'm not saying Haaland is the answer but we do need competition for CF not just backup. He might, but I expect Haaland would want to be playing instead of Martial.
We'll find someone who doesn't see the club as a stepping stone hopefully.I expect Haaland would want to be playing instead of Alcacer as well but it won't be easy to drop him either. 26 goals in 47 appearances isn't too shoddy. I'm not saying Haaland is the answer but we do need competition for CF not just backup.
Maybe, but we shouldn't be bending over for an agent/rep like him. He is nothing but trouble.I expect Haaland would want to be playing instead of Alcacer as well but it won't be easy to drop him either. 26 goals in 47 appearances isn't too shoddy. I'm not saying Haaland is the answer but we do need competition for CF not just backup.

If we are buying another striker, he has to be experienced at the top level and prepared to spend time on the bench
Raul Jimenez
Dortmund's top earner is Reus, supposedly on €10-12m a year gross wages. You're quoting a guy who either thinks Dortmund are going to make Haaland their top earner by a mile or who is incapable of distinguishing between gross and net.
Yeah, all is over, no hope.
With a buyout clause.
Why are people saying a forward should be one of our last priorities? When Martial was out we looked woeful we need backups and rotation players . Anyway smart move for his career would of liked him
