Yet we beat Spurs and City with him.

Tell you what be good, if the whole caf would stop moaning about what's happened and get behind the players that can actually be bothered to turn up and play for us.
You just can't get away from your bias for english players. Defending Lingard is something else, but now we are praising players who want to play for our team, that's gotta be a new low.
Cmmon Walters, I hate Pogba's antics too, but using it to hide Lingard's woeful performances? You are better than that. Lingard doesn't deserve to start for this team anymore, and I was his fan who defended him for years, he simply used all of his credits here.

Already a scapegoat if we lose then.
That’s not what I was trying to say, we’ve enough out there to win the game and if we don’t it’ll be down to the 11 lads who have started.

It’s a bit like when the coach is late turning up to the ground and you’ve less time to warm up etc, just affects pre match planning if you know what I mean.

I expected a player that hasn't contributed any goals or assists in 30 league games to not be the focal point of our attack.
It is bemusing how Lingard gets to play games for us.
It is beyond bemusing how he starts some games for us.
It is utterly bonkers that Ole has not realised that Lingard is one of the worst players in our squad and is utterly useless. An attacker, who does not know how to attack.

Whatever happens this isn't good news.

    He's either;

    Refusing to play.

Ankle is injured again even after he thought it was OK

Potential transfer lined up and he might be leaving

    Fallen out with Ole/club.

I just don't know what to think right now. It's a real mess.
There is no good way of looking at it.

That Arsenal team looks quite strong on paper

No Pogba and I’m suddenly nowhere near as confident as I was

Think we will be disappointed tonight as Arteta gets a reaction

Matic and Lingard, lets say Lingard turns vs Arsenal but Matic!? He could score 5 tonight and still he has no place in that starting XI.

Not inspired by that line up at all.

Pogba shitting on us. No Williams. Lingard starting, no Greenwood.

I was so confident of a win all week but unsure now.

I hope we grind it out. Rashford and Martial can cause them problems no doubt.

Well if this is the end of Pogba as i suspect then please Ole buy 2 midfielders this window, don't want none of this we go with what we have BS or kiss goodbye to top 4 pronto.

Looks like he only played those two games in December as the window was shut, now it's open all of a sudden his ankle is playing up again.

He is an idiot. He thinks we are idiots and keep believing his bs?? Feck off Ole and say the truth
In fairness, it would be stupid of Ole to go into anything Pogba related 1 hour before kick off. Need to focus on the game and the 3 points.

I do, too. But the guy has been useless for almost a year now.
There comes a point when a player needs to be put out of his misery and moved to a league more suited to his ability. I think that in the Championship, he'd be fine and would do well for a team.

Looks like pogba is off sooner rather than later. Surely the club would have said if he was injured or have I missed that?

I've got a bad feeling 2-1 the arse I think.

Yeah, most of us feel the same way.

Also, Ole neglected to mention Pogba's mysterious injury in his press conference yesterday. That alone is cause for concern.

I had convinced myself the club wouldn't be so stupid as to sell Pogba in January. Now I'm not so sure.

    Greenwood could argue otherwise.
Starting Greenwood or James is a coin-toss. Both of them have had their moments of brilliance and as young players, neither are a guarantee. I just hope Greenwood is not brought in at fecking 70th+ minute, if we need his help and is given a chance to contribute in a meaningful way.

I have a really bad feeling about this game. I'm expecting Arsenal to play out of their minds and Matic will be eaten alive.

    Predictable response.
Yep, I was kinda hoping Ole comes out and says to press: "I'm f***ing fed up with spoiled little bitch Diva and his Shitbag agent, and their rubbish, he is leaving if there is club stupid enough to buy him and his celebrity behaviour and his eat all you can pizza agent, if he is not sold, I will shove him in reserve tenm with 10000 Pounds per week until end of his contract. HappyNew Year".

But Ole is so much nicer than me, and will never say things like that.

For those suspecting that Pogba's injury is a bit fishy.
We need to remember that our fitness team is terrible. So, it is quite possible that our fitness department gave Pogba the green light to start his comeback, but were wrong, screwed up and now Pogba has injured himself, as he lacked any kind of fitness.
I don't think Pogba is on "strike". More likely that our fitness doctors rushed him back prematurely.

Exactly. If it was serious enough to keep him out for a few weeks, he would have known yesterday. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes.

This Arsenal team is absolute wank, that defence and midfield have absolutely no spine.

Wish we had Mctominay for this one, but our attack have to get at least one or two against that back line.

Bias for English players? What are you talking about? I've made it clear that Lingard has been awful, but he had good games against City and Spurs, and has a good record vs Arsenal, hence why I can understand why Ole has started him tonight.

Starting Aubameyang, Lacazette, Ozil and Pepe is something they haven't managed all season, it's certainly a surprise and it's going to be difficult to defend with our defensive record.
Arteta throwing everything he's got at us… Ozil and Pepe are a joke. Lacazette is not his best. Aubameyang is the one to watch for, but I have a lot of faith in our golden boy AWB. Hope Maguire, Lindelof, and De Gea have a good day as well.
