Trans-exclusionairy radical feminist.

No, I don't really know what that means. Though I'd venture a guess it's something like:

Women: yay!
Women who were born a man: boo!
It’s this contentious issue that if you’re born a man/ woman you can’t suddenly claim otherwise.

The same thing that got J K Rowling a lot of criticism recently

No way, José!

True love for the win, yo
Hmm.

I would find true love with Gisele, Kelly Rohrback and especially Blake Lively.

For clarity though - what a track record he has..

He absolutely nailed it as usual. He's like a rogue fart in a closed lift and he's completely OK with that, in fact, he revels in it.

It's a joke based on this, that he exaggerated cos he's Ricky Gervais

What are we calling peak Leonardo?

Two consenting adults, etc.. But could you spend your entire life with 20 year olds? Personality/character wise? It's not like women turn ugly once they reach mid 20s.

Let's be honest, if any of us were Di Caprio we'd do the same. Big respect.
No way, I'm only in to very intelligent women of at least equal age who are well versed in literature and other high brow crap. Like, you know, Les Miserables and Tom Hanks movies.

I generally can’t be doing with Gervais but I’m willing to listen to anything that calls out that thundercnut James Corden.

I might be wrong but I didn’t see Rowling say anything that controversial really. It’s just some of the people who read it took it badly.
Pretty much, even some trans people didn't think anything of it. Much a'do about nada.

What did she do?

Did she come out and say Hermione was transgender all along like she did with Dumbledore being gay?

The guy’s a TERF supporter and therefore a massive wanker.
Ricky isn't a TERF, neither are the majority of Women accused of TERM'ism.

What’s TERF

It's a term that a UK judge has deemed derogatory in itself.

Once you start name calling you've already lost. The Caf really isn't the place to discuss trans-politics.

the monologue felt flat and a rehash of what he's said in previous awards. Liked the Di Caprio joke, but the Pesci one was a tad mean.
I believe the monologue was the opposite of flat. Weird comment

Similar to how the media panned Chappelle's special while it got rave reviews from fans.
Yeah. There’s always a backlash.

though on that point I didn’t love Chappelle’s special, I was a little disappointed actually. Not on the level of his earlier work

Hmm, so is that Rowling supporting free speech, supporting the lady in question's agenda or perhaps both? Doesn't seem entirely clear from the article. I guess only Rowling can definitively clear it up.
No, that was pretty much it. She got a lot of flak for the support

It was pretty good overall especially the Epstein joke. I also liked Ramy Youssefs speech which had a small response back and was quite refreshing.

The crowd reactions were good, and all screamed of "who is this plummy little British idiot"

I mean at the end of the day its not that big a deal. But, he was trying to make the point that these "celebs" are out of touch and don't know the real world. But, the country he is in and preaching too elected a "billionaire" celeb who we all know isn't in touch with "the common man". Yet somehow his opinion, and policies matter but other celebs with different views should just shut up?

As others said a lot of them came from middle america and moved to Hollywood and became rich and famous. That doesn't make their opinions more important than the regular guy in small town America. But, they are citizens too I completely disagree with the once you are famous you should just shut up and "act, sing" or whatever.

They have kids and family too. The real problem people have with their opinions is more people can hear or see what they have to say because of who they are. If Oprah makes a comment or statement yes it is going to get covered and shown on the news etc. However I guarantee you today on Fox news they will be looping his comments all day saying "see he told them!" Because, it was a pro Trump argument. An argument they always make that Hollywood is liberal and we shouldnt listen to them. Unless its the rare celeb that has something positive to say about the GOP, then yeah listen to him.

Then you add to that that Ricky happily cashes the checks and hosts the show over and over for these people he is lecturing until he decides its his last year then you want to "speak your mind or call them out" on the way out. But, he pointedly tries to say they would take money from ISIS if they had a streaming service. Whats he been doing? Taking cash from people he suddenly has a problem with to make a living. Hypocritical to say the least but, in the end its just jokes and we all had to go to work today so whatever.
