Those having a go at Ole for not publicly criticising the owners, his employers, need to get a reality check. It wouldn’t look good for any manager to do it. As people say, he needs to do it privately, whether he is or not is a different matter and for us pure conjecture we won’t know until the book comes out.....

That team on paper should have beaten Burnley at home. That’s the problem, forget the injuries, board etc, on the pitch this team which should have beaten Burnley lost and in the second half we were dire. This falls on the manager and no one else’s. No real direction, no passion, gutless. That’s why I want ole gone. This team/squad should not only be 5 points or whatever ahead of 15th, it’s a lot stronger than that. He is not a Man Utd manager full stop.

Don’t bring up previous managers, I don’t care I’m judging him on what I’m seeing on the pitch, week in week out followed by some post match nonsense.... again last night .......

That comment about medieval times after RVP was an insult to our greatest managers and players gone. I also don’t trust anyone who smiles that broadly when their team has just put in a performance like that...... again

Man Utd football club built by Sir Matt Busby circa 1945 - destroyed by the glazers circa 2005 - RIP

The latter chant – which contained the lyrics ‘Ed Woodward is gonna die/How we kill him I don’t know/Chop him up from head to toe/All I know is Woodward’s gonna die’ – was condemned by BBC commentator Ian Dennis during the match.
Aghhhh, reminds me of the good old anti glazer days with the green and gold. The snowflakes need to get a life and stop moaning about people singing rude songs.

I heard the bonfire song before but this is a new one. Almost like a ballad for MBS.

RUDE? RUDE?!

It’s a song threatening another mans life?!

Are you that deluded to pass it off as rude?!

It’s a disgusting song to be sung

I fear youre not going to win that fight here, no matter that some (me included) will agree with you.

He's a convicted smiler. We've seen strong evidence of that. Those articles don't disprove that.

Feels that way a lot of the time to be honest, football isn’t really that deep.

Can’t fathom why people would think that song’s ok :(

I can imagine Solskjaer losing it and everyone doing their best not to laugh at him. Then erupt in laughter when he leaves the room. He doesn't have an authoritative bone in his body.

This club is an absolute joke. Do they expect Pochettino to be clubless forever then? I really can't be arsed with it, so damn amateur. Also Gareth ******* Southgate? The club hopefully liquidates at the point of hiring him if it happens

Regarding potential criticisms against the board or Woodward from our manager
@BR7 and @Caliban.

What you suggest is exactly what the owners and Woodward wants to happen. Silence and a lame manager publicly saying exactly what they wants to hear. Status Quo. Nothing will change.

Is that what we all want? Another season to write off. Another step to mediocrity.

At the moment (until he’s fired) Ole is in a unique position to deliver sensible and rational criticism against the board (owners) and his boss (Ed) without facing any notable consequences. Why?

He will get sacked regardless of criticism or not if he don’t deliver CL qualification. When the season ends his time in the lime light is off. It’s now (before the seasons ends) or never.

He can publicly ask rhetorically in a subtle way why the club doesn’t back him when we have so much injuries. He can inform media and us supporters that the future regarding Pogba is outside his pay grade. He can give media and us a update on last summers transfer dealing. Lukaku, Sanchez, Herrera, FellainI. Why we didn’t buy any replacements. All this is possible without being disrespectful against his employe’s.

He has nothing to lose. He will receive a hefty payoff so financially he’s secured.A win and win situation. Nobody and that includes supporters, ex players, pundits and the whole football nation would put any criticism against him if he stood up for himself. He would be regarded as a hero among the United nation. The owners and Woodward would face huge criticism and outrage anger from media and supporters if they took any unfair action against Ole because of this. I would say he would be almost untouchable if he took this stance and played his cards wisely. Transparency is often a very powerful tool in situations like this.

Finally. Woodward should be grateful that it’s only rude songs against him. His involvement in the take over and everything that follows is worthy much much more. He sold his soul in order to get his millions and now it’s pay back time from those who really love this club. If I was him I would sell his house, retire from his position and move far far away from Manchester. Almost seven years in charge and responsible for one of the worst slaughtering of a football club in modern history.

To all Norwegian’s. Do you want Ole to leave United on a high of with his tail between his legs? Start to talk Ole! You have nothing to lose.

If this is true, looks like we're done as a club, really depressing stuff.

If the board wants to sign that many players, shouldn't we get started right away? Or will it take 10 years for us complete the re-build?

Are there even players available in those positions?

Ole did say that this season will be used to evaluate the squad so those briefings fall in line with the plan.

How thick in the head do they think the fans are??

If any of this were true they would've been bringing in or close to signing reinforcements even before the window began as most serious clubs do. Instead we're doing the same song and dance until deadline day where we'll likely end up bringing in no one, even though we needed more signings back in the summer after selling so much, and finish outside of a CL spot

If those quotes are true, then those new signings will take 3 x summer windows to deliver, at best. Probably four. Now, bear in mind that with each passing season, 1-2 first teamers will be considered deadwood and will need replacing, meaning we essentially will be tasking Ole with an unlimited, non-stop, perpetual 'rebuilding' job.

But for argument's sake, let's say it takes the board 3 summer windows. That's 2023. By that time, we may well be fortunate to still be in the Premier League, because we're currently on track to finish lower than last season and form suggests that things will get slightly worse next season, too. Realistically, we will finish in the bottom half of the table next season under this 'rebuilding' plan.

So in such a situation, what players would the board and Ole hope to attract?

It's time to wake up and smell the coffee. The board consider this a 'rebuild' in name only. What it is really is a slow, steady stripping of wages and quality until the fans have had enough and the money stops coming in - then they sell. Ole is probably oblivious to that, in true 'Dinner for Shmucks' fashion and probably truly believes there is an actual rebuild process and true backing in place.

At least ole and me are on the same page when it comes to which positions need reinforcement, shame there's no news or movement in that regard.

Very, they've been doing this for years now.

But saying this whilst actually signing no one really is targeting the elite thickos amongst us.

He’s looking to get sacked. Just like Mourinho did.

Can’t blame him to get most out of this, though. Most likely it’s involved tens of million pounds.

The board are admirers of Thomas Tuchel? Do they even know him? Do they remember him almost crying for transfers and telling the PSG board off after their win against Rennes for lack of transfer activity? He would go crazy under Woodward.

He should change the formation or try something different. Goal scoring is our issue so why not play 2 up top with wide men. Playing the same way against the mid to lower teams is getting us no where. That has been the issue.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...

Wow... the good news for the Glazers and Woodward is that the window is open right now - so they will be able to begin their much needed backing of Ole with immediate effect...

Fail to do that and things are gonna get very, very ugly for them.

Bollocks. If the "board are backing him", then why the feck are they squabbling with Sporting over a few million pounds. Better yet, why did we not get more players in this summer?

Its the same shit they did before sacking Jose. Publicly back him verbally, but not actually follow through and back him with with funds, season goes to shit, pressure builds and when fans reach a breaking point they sack him and get a new shiny manager. Rinse and repeat

'Funds are available'. Should have saved this brief for the 1st feb, not during a public haggling in the transfer window

I know the feeling, Its the thought that there's a slight chance we will continue with Ole, his coaching staff and the players for even next season. Zero faith in anyone doing a job in this club if they dont bring in the right people from top to bottom.

Why the feck does this club always insist on being so late to making decisions which are so fecking obvious. This is only going to end one way, yet they fecking refuse to be proactive, which is gonna end up with us having to settle for our second, third, fourth choice managers. The board is a joke, the manager isn't even close to being good enough and it seems no-one involved in the club seems to give a shit.
