Just realised we're in a similar position to sporting. Struggling with best players out injured and I'm sure we'll be relying on Bruno

How does Fabrizio Romano get the pic before everyone else? Did he take it?
He's as 'tier 1' as it gets at the moment. He started out working for DiMarzio if I'm not mistaken and has long since surpassed him as the most legit 'ITK' around

What is unfair? Fred will probably end up the hardest one to kick off the team, he has shown his compatibility with at least 3 different partners in midfield and suited well with them. If anything the decision will be if we are playing with 3 or 4 in midfield.
Bruno will start, Pogba when fit will start, Fred will start. The only question will be who starts at DM if we are playing 4 in midfield and who will play in the front three if not.
I don't think we'll go full 4-4-2 diamond. Ole likes his 4-2-3-1 with two wide players and one DM (McTominay / Matic). This leaves two spots in midfield and you have Fred, Pogba, Bruno and Pereira to fill them. It's reasonable competition and lets Ole rotate a bit through injuries, fixture congestion etc. but I don't think Fred will start if everyone's fit.

Hope club are not wasting time by spending like a day working on the PR stuff around his signing - photos, video etc. Needs to do his medical, sign whatever he has to and be given to Ole so he can can get as much time as possible for Saturday. After that if there is time for then go for the promo material.
Of course there’s not going to be any PR stuff: photos with the coach, in his kit etc. He’s only signed for one of the worlds biggest clubs after a protracted transfer saga. So we’ll sneak him into OT in a laundry basket and out on the pitch. No ones bound to find out

It beggars belief that, with the last 6 months of squad threadbareness still fresh in the mind, people are now complaining that certain players might not be automatic starters every game.

Surely everyone must realise that we need more quality than we can reasonably put out on to the field at any given time, to account for rotation, form, injuries, tactics, etc? That's how modern football works.

Was not talking about keeping it a secret. It is about getting him ready to play on Saturday. The video shoots etc take hours to do, time we don't have. Took them long enough to get it over the line. Puts pen to paper, does the photo there and then should be down to work right away, not all the other non-footballing stuff - assuming their priorities are football.

It's a little unfair on Fred though. He's worked his socks off and really come into his own as a player this season, far from our weakest link and he's the one that'll kicked out of the team if Bruno and Pogba are both fit.
You're kidding right? If Fred plays well, he's in the team. Simple as that.

We've been complaining about a threadbare squad all season and you're worried we signed a player because someone will lose their place?

I’d play 4-4-2 diamond, mctom DM Fred and pogba CM and Bruno behind rashford and martial
That sounds good as far as midfield is concerned, however, it does mean that the full backs have to be the ones providing all the width. Williams and Wan-Bissaka are ok when they are supplementing the width with two other wide forwards, but in the diamond system they'd be wholly responsible for the entirety of our width.

Photo looks fake and photoshopped. Won't believe it until I see him on the teamsheet.

Any mention of squad number? From next season I’d hope he takes the number 10. Give Rashford 7 as our talisman, and Sancho can take 11 ( we can but dream).

And in their Transfer Update. Skysports whose finger is always on the pulse these days (though usually the wrong pulse) have declared Fabrizio Romano to be Bruno's representative  Do your research!!!

I’m not so sure. He’s United through and through and there’s no more significant number as a United player than 7

Really looking forward to watching him week in week out. I saw just 1 match of his with Portugal but he was a bit underwhelming in that particular game.
