'INTER MILAN WANTED IGHALO'

Sky Sports News Dharmesh Sheth:

“There was another twist as Inter Milan, who have been buying everybody in this window, when they didn’t get Olivier Giroud, they asked about Odion Ighalo but he had his heart set on a move back to the Premier League and Manchester United.”

If true, i dont like option to buy part, just because it gives us an option to make another mistake, we shouldnt get him on perma deal even if he scores 30.

I’m a fan of the club, will try hard and am athletic.
Theres always a bellend who tries to be smart. Hes an athletic striker which should fit the amount of running our front three do, as opposed to the like of cavani who we were also linked to

Love the signing. No risk, has done very well recently apparently, we need depth. A loan deal is always fun too. Perfect. Way better than paying 30m for King.

We desperately needed a forward so it will give the team a temporary lift if nothing else and even if he turns out shite in the end.

Imagine how exciting it would be to go on a date with Fabrizio Romano for the "here we gos" alone.

Serious question.
If/when he signs, will he need to stay in quarantine for 14 days since he’s arriving from China?
I saw @Damien said something about it, but it’s hard keeping up with whats true and whats banter regarding the corona virus.

I said we had no excuse not to sign a striker due to the popularity of loan deals right now, we had to be able to get someone as cover up top. And we did. I'm not sure how good Ighalo will be, but it wont hurt much to have him available as a backup

He may hit the ground running quicker than Bruno. Who knows really how the signings turn up, at least we got a body.

Insane. Signing a striker from goddamned Chinese league. That's where players retire. Has anybody ever signed a 30-year-old from China into EPL? We let Lukaku go for THIS? I just can't wrap my head around how crazy this feels. It will take him a whole season to get in form for EPL level, coming from China (that assuming he can still play at this level). What is the fecking point for this loan?

Welcome Ighalo. Like that he's a boyhood United fan and he told Spurs where to go.

Of course i wouldn't have picked him as a signing if I was to draw up a list of players I'd want us to sign. But I do like that united didn't feel forced into buying the likes of cavani or overpay for King. We need to be sure of signing so getting this short term deal done and revisit the market again in summer is a good thing. No alexis bought this January which could have been the result of rashford injury.

Think opposition fans will laugh and he might well be shite in the end, but he's only been signed to replace Rashford until he comes back. And I'm honestly trying to think of a striker who's currently available, only available for a short period of time, wouldn't expect to be signed on a permanent deal, and won't mind sitting about on the bench.

Ighalo is probably the only candidate.
