This is going to be a really low scoring week unless Mane and Salah do something.

16 pts and somehow it's alright.
Bruno, Lewin and Jimenez to go.

My best player is Cantwell with 3. Still 4 player to go for me.

Just hope Martial plays, scores and we win or at least we win either way.

I think only mad men with Alonso and Sarr is having a great week so far. Maybe some with Pope too of course.

If Martial doesn't play tomorrow and Bruno blanks I would have been better off not taking the -4 with Lascelles 1st on bench with 6!

I'm having a really bad week. Probably my worst since starting.

I was 15k OR now 26K

I took a -4 to bring in Saiss for Baldock.

I have 8 points in total (-4) = 4 laughing my arse off.

I have Guita on my bench with 11. Feck me I wish I had him in he would have given me a great boost.

Doherty such a big hero. 22 points in 2 weeks since I got him. The rest of my team mostly to forget apart from Jiminez.

I am pretty happy with my squad now which is odd. Just need to sell Sidibe I think since he is not starting. Alonso a bit too expensive, but could pick James. Not sure he is good enough though. Maybe I shall go agressive with Alonso and aim for attacking returns.

Finished with 25. Not good tbh but not surprised considering I didnt have many bench options.

I want Jiminez but I'm 0.3m short. I could bring in Jota for Ings (he's gone off the boil)

Fernandes probably saved me.

Fed up with persisting with certain players and just activated my WC before prices stop me from making transfers that I want.

Had to drop Madison, Martial, Vardy etc.

New team:

Pope
Bednarek, VVD, TAA
Salah, KDB, Fernandes, Barnes
Aubamayang, Jiminez, DCL

Subs: Button, Douglas Luiz, Mings, Hanley

Any obvious things I've missed?

When talking about strikers Form!!!!! > Fixtures always.

40pts this week. Better than the average, I'll take it.

Opponents still matters a lot. Although this season without a clear top 6 it is harder to judge defensive quality.
Feels like it is only Liverpool who you should have avoided to have your strikers against.
Sheffield too, but that was not the idea when the season started.

Villa and Norwich still the dream opponent in general. Although they might fight hard for it to stay up.

Pukki and Ings both scored vs Liverpool this season on their hot streaks. No team is immune.

Still they concede almost 1/3 the goals Villa and Norwich do. Thus it is better to bet for few goals against them.
I benched Ings over my Pool defenders last time and got lucky he missed I guess. Southampton had chances.

Some players like Rashford loves the big games though so not sure how I would think with him. Captain him against City and Pool would not be crazy.

Normally you do not have good enough bench option to bench quality strikers even against the best sides.

Thinking of doing Bruno in for Bergwijn. Would require changing either Firmino or Jiminez for Jota or DLC.

Thoughts?

Jota has the nicer fixtures. DCL seems to be poaching goals though. It's tough.
I also have Jiminez so might be better to go with DCL. Although I'm not a believer of spreading about for the sake of it. If they're scoring points they're scoring points.

It's been almost a year since Firmino scored a league goal at Anfield apparently. Incredible stat I saw on twitter. Not sure how true it is.

You can guarantee that as soon as you sell him he'll bag 2 or 3 though. It's been that sort of season.

Yeah been hard to predict based on fixtures this year. You need to be able to read each players mentality and club mentality to understand this season.
Like why does Firmino have so hard to score at Anfield? Must be mental mainly. Also Vardy got a baby and can't score anymore. Is that normal. Should he not be happier or what is going on there? No sleep or different life focus?

Having a baby, while (hopefully) a joyous experience, can also be a very, very stressful time.

There might be Health issues with Vardy's baby / wife that we don't know about.

Also, having a newborn baby as the World lurches depressingly into a fecking Pandemic is incredibly stressful - no matter whether or not babies are 'mainly ok' with it.

I have a month old Son, and I can honestly say that the stress at this current time right now is bordering on unbearable for me.

And this isn't my first child, already have a 6 year old, but the Pandemic / Newborn combo is very, very difficult to put out of your mind.

Pretty sure when Rooney had a kid there was a noticeable drop in hunger on the pitch, and I remember people saying that was a regular thing.

27 points last week. Amazed to get that many. Bruno basically saved it this week.

Vardy was a total bust. Probably makes sense to move him to Jiminez this week in case as Vardy has been both out of form and missing games with no warning quite often (where was this sense last week!)

I've subbed in Doherty. Somehow the balance of my team has shifted towards 4 premium defenders, as that's where I see value currently. Even thinking of getting Alonso too.

Henderson
Lascelles - TAA - Robertson - Pereira - Doherty
Salah - KDB - Traore - Perez - Martial
Ings - Jimenez - Greenwood

I fancy a piece of Doherty. Got the exact money to upgrade Saiss or Holgate to him. Or I could just feck Soyunco off.

Anyway, nothing doing until later in the week, after the cup games and hopefully with some more info on the blanks and doubles.

Looking like we might get a mini double for Arsenal and City in 29 as it is. I've still got Auba and KDB. Not sure I really fancy anyone else from either team.

Agreed. I have 7.9m to replace Barnes in midfield or 6.7m to replace Soyuncu. Not sure what to do really. Bernardo is 7.8 but do I really want to keep him long term ? No.

Lots of talk about Arsenal and City being a double in 29 after all. Still no official announcement yet though. It's kind of ruining my plans if it is. I was planning on rolling my FT this week and having 2 for GW30 which is look sketchy in my starting 11.

Wow not sure how to bring in more players from them. Maybe get one defender, but not sure who. Just going captain Auba then I think if true.

I brought Vardy back in for Norwich hoping he'd get back on the goals. Epic fail.

Moving him and the injured Traore out for Auba and a cheap mid (maybe Saka) seems a no brainer now. Vardy will probably score a hatrick vs Villa though. Absolute joke how bad our fixture list is. FA n PL haven't got a clue what to do.

Yeah Saka could be a decent pick. Not sure an Arsenal defender is worth the effort. Doubt they will get even one clean sheet.
Martenlli and Nkethia might be decent cheap picks. Not sure I want to move on Ings though for them.

The City rotation make them a nightmare beyond De Bruyne.
